You can't really change the mentality as a single person whether you are a jackass or not. Sure not being a dick helps but once people label something they are almost always going to see it that way regardless of what experiences they have in game or on boards. As much as people talk about toxic players playing certain champions I rarely actually see those players being toxic. Usually it's the other people flaming them for their picks. which over time actually makes those people respond negatively to them. I used to have people call me all kinds of things for playing kassadin back when he was broken yet I rarely spoke in chat except to compliment people or say GG.

Hunted90001 votesI usually find that all the people who don't like yasuo at all never played him seriously. Usually when I lose against a yasuo its because he plain outplayed me and i respect it and usually love it because yasuo is such an exciting lane for me whether I'm am or against him. The only frustrating lane is having him top, but that applies to all fighters that top lane because top is usually a slow, snowball lane and they break the meta with their crazy early damage.

Nah, that's not really how boards operates on a general level. In my experience it's more split up by class how good a winrate a champion needs to be considered "overpowered" by Boards.
Tanks: 58% Supports: 57% Mages: 55-56% Bruisers:54-55% Ranged solo laners: 46% ADCs: 49-50% Assassins: 45-47% Yasuo: 1%
Reposer13 votesHell, even then, stuff like tanks, if they're just being a big super tank, don't really get picked on. Malphite and Rammus are hyper-strong for a few patches cause of ADC meta? It's ok, it's only cause of the meta, not their design, no hate.
Support that gets out of line that isn't named Soraka? It's ok, just retune them a bit, they're good to go.
Risky damage dealers like assassins/yasuo/etc doing their job and scraping about 50% winrate? Fucking ridiculous, you're terrible at game design, fuck yourselves riot etc. Doesn't even matter if it was a problem prior to a certain build that got out of line (Tank Ekko anyone?) People just despise the champs that aren't just button mashers without recognizing actual issues such as itemization, masteries, meta, etc.
Then, just like the post says, after a little while people hate that one thing, they find a new one, and the cycle repeats.

But oh boy if Yasuo starts to get popular, meta favored. Then that's when people pull Winrate, and criticise, then they bloat about his abilities. Yasuo should get nerfed because of winrate is also something people do. Whether it's low or high, they'll still state it's wrong for him to have it.
Not to discredit winrate or anything. I'm just here to mention a champion's design affects the boards opinions, moreso than their Winrate.
There is also a side subject to this I didn't touch on.

Jinx got nerfed for three patches in a row and people were still complaining she was OP even though she universally had a 46%~ winrate and could barely outmatch a Varus ADC. Same with Kalista, hell people still hate her even though she's essentially been gutted until a rework of some kind.
Meanwhile ADCs like Varus and Sivir can maintain a constant 55%~ winrate for several patches and no one will bat an eye on here.

Varus pokes people and roots them. Sivir wave clears and makes people go fast. Really the extent of their kits. Meanwhile Jinx is far more noticeable because she mauls teams with AoE Crit rockets that also shoot additional, but smaller, AoE Crit rockets.

Balance can only be achieved when all champions I don't play are gutted to be laughably easy for me to beat, while my champions are buffed to be so strong they win games single-handedly.

not viable, play well and you break even with others. play poorly and you do nothing but feed and miss all of his Q's, oh and have fun losing to anyone with a dive, at least you might be able to take them with you.
not viable, build damage and you just die before you reach your target, you have to play like god himself to have a positive KDA. build tank and you offer no cc or utility behind it. good luck finding the adc alone.
