last hitting
I have such a hard time last hitting minions and I end up pushing the lane and I get ganked a lot. I don't understand why its so hard for me but is there any way I can improve on this?

Set up a custom game. 1v0. You vs NO ONE. Try to get 100 CS in 10 minutes without going back for a single item. Once you can do this try it with bots.
Also, try adjusting your marks and quints with various combinations of AS, AD, and and a single 1% crit chance rune. You may find different thresholds are more to your liking with different champions.

Take this with a grain of salt, as I'm unranked (I suspect it might train bad habits), but what instantly improved my CS per game a LOT was using S. In case you don't know what S does - it stands for Stop. If you've played Starcraft 2, it's similar to the Hold Fire button on the Terran Ghost. When you press S, your character stops attacking. This allows you to time your last hits without having to decide where to go, and requires less movement from your hands (do not have to move the mouse to time your last hits).
Do the thing where you set up a custom game, but play it WITHOUT RUNES OR MASTERIES, and pick an ap champ with lousy damage. Don't use abilities.
Also don't do that too often because it's boring and it sucks, but it helps a lot.
If you can last hit under the most sub-optimal conditions, last-hitting with all the nice things is only gonna make it easier.

- No Runes
- no masteries
- Vladamir
- 100 cs 10 minutes (practice moving in and out off aa range too)
- once you do this like 10 times you are basically a plat player.
Hi. So the advice about the custom games and runes ect is on target. Make sure you test your CS skills with the specific setup you will use and with the exact charater. Tristana isn't the same as Jinx, and Swain is a totally different world entirely.
I was horrible at CS'ing for a long time, and I followed all the same advice you are seeing here and it didn't help. So if this is all routine, you might try the one thing that made it all better for me.
Cancel your auto-attack animations. Literally hit a minion only one time and walk as soon as your projectile has been fired. Then move back and forth nearby the next minion that will be low and right click it once. Then move back and forth again. Never auto attack when CS'ing, only when trying to push.
Eventually you'll figure out how to auto attack one minion a little lower when there are two that are dying at the same speed, but only hitting each minion one time and stopping afterwards is what made the difference for me. Like double the CS total from before.
Set up a custom game and practice last hitting repeatedly against an Intermediate Ziggs bot.

I occasionally go into a custom game and see how many cs I can get in 5 minutes, the max you can get is 38.
