AP Ezreal Questions

Is archangels worth building (I have been trying it out and I can stack tear pretty fast, but I don't feel like I really do any damage)? Should I get mag pen boots or cdr boots? I hardly ever get blue in solo que so I don't really have any cdr (I have also been going mag pen boots with archangels).

Hi. I main Ap Ez since URF 2014.

  1. YES, Archangel's is the best manafixer if you want to get the highest possible AP. But the build is lategame oriented. I used to build that until a few days ago. 2)MY new build is the following: mana reg/lvl Quints + magic resist Glyphs + armor Seals + magic penetration Marks 21/0/9 R>Q>W>E : QEQWQ R QWQW R WEWE R EE item 1056item 2009 -> item 3100 -> item 1311 -> item 3285 -> item 3089 -> item 3135 -> item 3115 The Manareg quints are essential! The Nashor's at the end is for CDR and additional Q damage, but build a Zhonya's or whatever if you feel like you need the defensive stats.

This build is far better suited for people with less experience on him.

I just picked him up. I have a lot of luck with an roa/ archangels build, then I usually go sorcerers shoes or ionian boots, then lichbane, Then situational.

If i want to move more, and do more damage. ludens, If i need burst mitigation, and some def stats, hourglass, Damage forever, Rabadabadoo, This item plus all the other stuff you built will make your ap go out of control and q will chunk the adc for like half health. Nashors tooth is good, synergies with passive and all, and cdr. If you got sorcerers shoes you need this 5th Essence reaver. While not ap, it gives awesome mana and some cdr, if you need more. If your opponents stack mr, this isn't bad, but won't work with rabadabadoo, so don't get the two together ever, and if you want just ap, well, obviously this is a no. Also, you shouldn't be having more mana issues. Athenes, if you want some mr and still are running out of mana, but you shouldn't be. Abyssal kinda sucks, because the range on the mr reduction is within your desired range. I'd avoid it, but if you really need the mr, and find yourself next to the enemy often, go for it i guess. If you need to get through mr, always go with void staff. Rylais, while kinda weird on him, gives him some more health to be more survivable if you get caught and e is on cd. It also makes kiting with ezreal the easiest thing in the world. Like, i can't even kite with vayne or ashe, but i can kite with ezreal. It also lets you stick to squishies you find out of position, as you outrun them with all the ms you build, and you're slowing them, and e. Liandry's is also good vs tankier people/ health stacking bruisers. And flat mr always helps with squishy elimination, the health is nice too, cuz it makes playing him more forgiving. It can also combo nicely with rylais, but ezreal i think would want more damage. I guess if you really wanted to, build both, but i'd go with one or the other.

And of course, getting an early sword of the occult and mejais soul stealer on a champ as survivable as ez if you're already ahead is always a good idea. If you get both to max stacks, even with sword being ad, you're going to be op. 110 ad and 20% bonus attack speed and and 180 ap + 20% cdr is ridiculous. Just don't die. I wouldn't recommend this if you're new to him, or the enemy team has a lot of ranged cc or ways to get close to you and burst you down, like akali and talon flashing over walls.

I'd recommend after The core i described just going for damage if you can, cuz usually at that point you have enough mana. So ludens or rabadabadoo are almost always built on him for me. Then, if i want more damage i get the other. If i want kiting and a little more sticking power, i go for rylais. I think it's really good on him. But then again so is the straight damage that ludens and deathcap provide together. Also the mr pen from Void shouldn't be overlooked, cuz sometimes without it you're poke just gets blocked by tanks who don't care about it. If thats happening to you, i'd get rabadabadoo and void.

Maybe roa isn't that good on him though, so do't get it if you don't like it, as he powerspikes with lichbane, and this sets that back. It does give him more lategame i think though, and the added health makes him more survivable too, so you can poke, poke, overstay your welcome to poke more, then e and flash and run away, cuz you also built so much ms, then when they chase you you get further away, but keep them interested, and ult, and since they were chasing you they're all in a line to be hit by a 1200 damage piercing missile that's going to obliterate their carries. And if you find you don't have the space to wind up an ult, just kite whoever is chasing you. Ignite them and if they get too close, you have flash to create distance, and late game e doesn't have the worst cd, so that'll be up soon. Then with all the health and seraph shield you can afford to get ballsy a little and even chase some kills down. Don't be stupid, but at ten stacks on roa, you're not quite instasquish anymore, so don't be too passive either.

Just my opinion though.
