Halp, need some adc advice vs the tank meta.

Bored decided to give adc another spin and I have a few frustrations. Only played one game so of course I am sure there is plenty I could do better but I had a game I thought was totally in my hands just ripped away and I am a little baffled. Was me and vs a and .

We completely crushed them in lane, I think I had almost 10 kills by the end of laneing phase. I don't remember exactly but I had a super early infinity edge, that is the first thing I think I may have done wrong. I went for a simple. Infinity > phantom > last whisper build and I forgot that lucian uses a trinity .

Anyways I was getting kills right and left for the first 20 minutes or so. I think I had almost a full build at 30 minutes. And then I just started getting completely shut down. Their team was basically 4 tanks plus twitch. I thought a last whisper would be enough but it felt like I was doing zero damage. My spells the beam and the star thing felt completely useless except to proc my passive which im not even sure was worth it.

Is there a point where luc just starts to auto over spamming spells? I was so frustrated I started dumping items trying to switch over and build a cleaver and bork, I just felt useless pinging away at walls of health and thornmails.

In comparison I have no problem with tanks when I am playing a mage like victor a void staff is more than enough to chunk them easily. Are adc just weak in this meta or maybe lucian in particular or could I have built or played differently?

Not exactly looking for play critique because I know I made a ton of misplays. More just adc strategy in this tank meta. Would like to bone up on one or two adc's. Trist was my favorite back in the day, I don't see her played anymore. Anyone had success with her? Thx.

You need to change your build.

If you are against a team with multiple tanks, you need to go full offensive Lucian with Cleaver as your "defensive" item. You also need to be spamming to get passive procs and to refresh your dash so you are slippery and don't get hit too much by the enemy. A culling with BoRK, PD and Cleaver would melt any squishy that stands in front of you and chunk tanks in chases, while passive procs and double-taps with BoRK would wreck tanks that chase you.

item 3153 item 3071item 3046 item 3031 item 3035item 3158

All you need to do is to not get caught by the initial wave of CC. If you succeed in doing that, between Cleaver's rage procs, W, your resetting dash, your 40% CDR, BoRK active and your passive, you should basically never be touched by enemy melees.

Also, late game, you should be Qing much less and just using W and dash to proc your passive. Q has a delay and is weaker than late game autos.

Some games are unwinnable because of unfavorable team comps. In this tank meta it's really up to your team (mainly your support) to peel for you as well as having good positioning.

A black cleaver would likely help, especially with someone like lucian since you could reach max stacks faster than most adc. It would also give you some extra durability.

Build wise, if you aren't going to get bork, you probably would've been better off with Lucidity boots. The whole point of Lucian's combo is to constantly proc his passive. Other than that, your team died way too much. I'd assume you guys kept trying to teamfight, even though their team had a significantly better teamfight comp. Correct me if I'm wrong. You would've been better off splitting up 1-2-2 for maximum picks and objectives.

Also, they Olaf'd Trist.
