Check your internet connection

I wanted to go play some ranked today, but first I checked out my connection in a custom. Guess what happened? I lagged out and wasn't able to play the game.

Desiring to know if it was Riot's servers or my connection, I utilized a speed test function online. My download was 4 MBpS, my upload was .75 MBpS.

Those of you who don't know what those numbers are, that's pretty terrible, it's like trying to kill a giant beetle with a toothbrush. Therefore, I am not playing league today, not only to prevent myself from losing, but other people as well.

Don't be an idiot, check your connection.

AT&T DSL. Download - 7.57 Upload - .39

Never have i been disconnected from the servers during a game. I even find these numbers to be off because my actual downloads never even reach 1mb/s.

I have seen more people complain about disconnect than ever before since patch 5.13. I'm assuming the majority of the issue is on Riots side of things. Not yours.

Speed test does nothing. You need to run a net trace to see if there is a problem.

if you really want to know any issues with your internet connection run a netalyzer test. This will be a blanket test over your entire connection and will check for literally everything that could go wrong, not just download/upload speeds that are usually inaccurate anyways.

all you need to check for is issues, the red stuff, the rest doesn';t matter.
