I honestly think there is a Elo hell but, not in terms of kids being bad but, tilt. Now lets get real here everyone is human, when you see that huge red banner saying Loser after you invested 30 minutes of your time just to be punished and lose lp people get pissed. Then you tell yourself Ill win the next one and it will be ok. Your anxious to win so you make stupid moves and get pissed off. Now that pretty much summed me up last season but, I found a secret trick to climb faster and more efficiently.

The secret is "Time". Now you ask yourself time? Wtf Gg waste of time but, wait don't press that back button yet. What I mean by time is the time that you play. The later you play the more trolls come out. People come home from work tired and when your tired you play worse. They just worked a 7 hour shift at McDonalds to get shit talked by some kid over the internet on how bad they are at the game. Your decisions made are worse, your reaction time is worse and even worse, your more impatient. What I realized was playing before 4:00 pm is the best time to play ranked. Now if you go to school thats plenty of time and you can always wait until the weekend to play ranked. Honestly you can try it for yourself, the games are 10x less toxic and people play 10x better.

I think this is true, but not the only reason elo hell exists.

I personally think that there are a few bad players, and they started this "elo hell" concept with their bad play. However i think the real reason for all the people saying elo hell is a major problem is they have heard about it before, and are just blaming that for their losses.

Your time of day thing would help prove that, as tired people get pissed off easier.

elo hell is really everyone blamming everyone else for their team losing the game. In reality, everyone makes mistakes, including lcs players. The difference between bronze and gold, (that i can see), is that the gold players try to make up for these errors, while the bronze just shove it off onto someone else.

tl;dr positive players do better, negative people invented elo hell as a means of not taking responsibility

Every time of the day has an equal chance of getting toxic people in the game bby.

well one thing that helped me climb is started writing down mistakes i made threw out the game just take you a pen and trusty notebook and write down how many times you die in the game and why you died and doing so without placing blame on anyone other than yourself. like if you get ganked by the support or the top roams and kills you mid. do not be i died because of missed mia top or bottom. Instead write down i dead because of lack of map awareness. the reason does not have to be long. One game i wrote down last season i died 4 times to annie because of the tibburs stun. thus it was not my fault mid was fed but it was my fault my postioning was bad enough to get stuned that many times.

So the secret is....quit my 8-5 job so that I can play a video game with less kids around? Hmmm....possible...but ultimately I like having a car, house, and food. :D
