I dont understand
All this high utility, high damage mages are considered supports now. Is that where league is now. Only assasins own midlane?

Mobility creep FTW! All the midlaners who can't just straight burst down a target (so everyone but Annie and Lux, pretty much) can't deal with the double and triple dashes. The whole point of being melee is that you are strong once you get to close range, but giving all the melee assassins giant gap closers kind of defeats the purpose.
To be fair champions like Talon have fair gapclosers because there is no other way for them to get in range without getting blown up.
Champions like Yasuo or Zed have too many though.
And Akali. And Fizz. Heck, I'll even argue that Talon's ultimate stealth is enough of an advantage, with Vision Wards being so expensive and easily destroyed, to let him gapclose with it.
everyone is runnin from the midlaners that dont use mana like zed
Pretty much. With the nerf to mana regen, manaless champions were given a massive buff. Whether this was intentional or not is unknown, but Riot has been slow to respond to it. The supposed nerfs to the more overbearing assassins (Akali, Zed, and Fizz) that Riot says are coming soon(TM) will be greatly appreciated, but I'm not sure if it will be enough. The class in general is not fun to play against. It used to be that tanks could deal with them, but with current itemisation favouring penetration-stacking and few truly strong tank-items, even tanks get deleted quickly. And yes. I do know that the old strategy of "CC them!" still works, but the problem is that this applies to ALL champions, and assassins have ways of jumping in and out of fights, in some cases before CC can even be used.
All far too true. In fact, those said assasins are toxic in so many ways, it would take a wall of text to just pin them down.
Having both engage and escape? Way to diminish any degree of counter play they may have! Why do bruisers only get forward jumps (most of them, at least) while assasins like Zed or Fizz can dash in any direction with their ground target spells? Should be the other way around. After all, are the assasins not supposed to be high risk, high reward class? Where is the risk when you have free escapes in your skill set?
Why is mana less assasin even a thing? Are they not supposed to be a precision class where skill matters, so they should have to have good judgment on their resources availible and not be able to just spam off? Are they not supposed to be an all-in class, yet most if not all of them have sufficient lane harass? Leave that to champions who can't 100-0 you, so they have to rely on first landing enough harass on you (see? Counterplay!). How comes champions like Yasuo or Zed can both harass and insta-gib you with their burst damage?
Lol is a team game. Any moba is. Why does an entire champion class get designed around the notion that they should be able to solo any opponent and any situation? Having any degree of CC, as much as a 20% slow, on assasins is toxic. They should rely on their team to pin down their enemy, not do all of it themselves. Same with their slippery CC-dodging skills. Fizz should not be able to dodge a Thresh hook by pressing one button. He should coordinate with his team and plan his positioning to avoid it, like any other champion in game (save for other toxic assasins) has. The window of opportunity for an engage should be much more narrow, so your decision making skills actually matter. Playing a fizz? Your window of opportunity is the 6 minutes your opponent's flash is down, and hardly even then. Tower diving level 6? No problem, free dodges dude. That's ludicrous.
Why do assasins have percent health damage skills as well as free penetration (Fizz, Yasuo and the likes)? Are tanks not supposed to be their counter? Why does an assasin even need the tools to deal with one? Has it not been the ADC's job since forever? Why even have roles in your game when every other champions violates them with their toxic design?
Why do assasins like Zed get free tools to last hit under the tower? Why pamper the class by letting them remain relevant when being crapped on in the lane phase, where any other champion gets utterly obliterated? With the recent tower buffs and those champions who can 6/6 with no effort under a tower have rendered any waveclear or pushing meaningless, even disregarding the dangers of exposure to ganks or overextending that come with this playstyle. Where is the risk for an assasin in lane? Even if you are not killing anybody, your farm is secured. Why is it not for champions like Viktor, Syndra or Swain? Why do they deserve to be treated like inferior citizens?
Riot love to go great lengths to explain their views on weaknesses and opportunity when nerfing other classes (like the ADC Tristana, Corki and the likes). The red being the ability to escape from an assasin. See this backwards logic? An ADC must rely on his team to do anything. An assasin can go around soloing things, because, well, he is designed to. Why does one champion class get this special treatment? To cater to all the spoiled kids who can't cooperate? But why do we get this in a tightly team-oriented game? Players who can not cooperate should play Starcraft, Chess, box or any other kind of single player game or single sport.
Yeah, I'm clearly aware that a) like 80% of lol's population is that kind of player and b) they also fill Riot's pockets, so they get catered to. However, there is a line where the design of individual pieces compromises the intergity of the whole puzzle, and we are long past that line. Push further and the strategic component to this game utterly disappears, at least in random matches below LCS level.

well now they can just outlast you because u eventually do run out of mana a lot faster and have to leave lane if u interact witht hem at all. And if you build that mana item first to stay in teh fight they are building dmg and just kill u
Assassins are destroying mages because mana regen is garbage? Better nerf morellonomicon
Yep lol. Now there are barely any good mana regen dependent mid laners. Only ones that don't need that much mana or that work good with a tear. Morello nerf really hurt as it was kinda the last good non-support mana regen item.
For some reason Riot wants champs with mana to stick to bot lane, it seems.
