Can anyone convince me LeBlanc is good? Any advice on playing her?

I've tried playing her and I don't get how anyone can make her work. First, her optimal combo seems to be DFG>Q>R>W>E, but good luck being in range of anyone to use it. People aren't stupid at gold+ rank, they're going to respect LeBlanc's zone. My range is short on everything. I guess I could do W>Q, but then I'm not proc'ing the Q mark, so that feels wasteful.

I'm also having issues with her Q being nerfed to remove silence. Now, people are interrupting my combo much too easily, namely during the W dash portion. I'll Q, then dash in, but as I'm dashing, maybe Lux roots me, or Syndra stuns me, or whatever. At that point, the only thing I have up on CD is my E, which is nearly impossible to hit unless I'm insanely close range.

What can I do to make her work?

Ill share some of my experience with Leblanc.

First of all, I think your underestimating the power of Leblanc's E, have you ever tried using it to set up a combo? You said that a lot of people are staying out of your range. I find smarter players do this a lot as well, a good way to adapt to this (Though it will cost you a lot of resources so be careful of using it)... Use W to get behind enemy minions and get in range, then use either Q+R+E or Q+E+E for harass but Q+W should always be your preferred harass method.

If people are interrupting your combo don't just try to aim at them with W, use W as a tool for reposition for your E and make use of the combo described before or keep them guessing and use your W at different angles, don't always try to hit them dead center of your W making it easy for them to cancel your combo, hit them with the very edge of your W. BTW your E while can be a little difficult to lane in no way is too difficult for it to be as useless as you make it sound.

Quick Tips:

-Make use of the range on your E, distortion in, hit them with E and jump back to your start location to avoid damage (The range on E is huge once it hits and surprises a lot of players). -Late game if the adc doesnt have banshees, most of the time you can W in DFG+Q+R for the kill -Dont always use W as your dmg(its super predictable), sometimes its worth it to use it to reposition without dealing any dmg and leave Q, E, and R and AAs to do dmg -If your lane isn't going too well roams are your best friend -If you hit 6 before the opponent, hit them as hard as you can, most of the time you wont have enough burst to kill them (Unless they've already taken a lot of damage) but you will send them back letting you hit 7 maybe 8 before they even hit 6 which is when you should go for the kill with ignite, just be careful of what they bought because they might out dmg you.

The problem is you're making the mistake of trying to use LeBlanc's All-In combo to poke an enemy in lane. It's actually best to rely on Sigil of Malice into Distortion instead of trying to land complicated combos in lane. As for when you do decide to all-in, make it a point to wait until the enemy has either burned their cc or is low or out of mana. Don't recklessly dive an enemy thinking you'll win. Oh, and consider trying E-Q-R-W. Make sure to get Q to detonate it's mark off the E snare before you follow up with R and W. That's a fancier damage combo you can try. It was quite effective pre-nerf.

W Q R W is really easy to combo and is guaranteed poke after 6. Doesn't cost much mana and it's impossible to stop. It takes a few pokes like that until you can easily falsk Q R W E for a kill. They have to respect the range and damage that leblanc can do.

Leblanc's probably a little underpowered right now because it's so easy to interupt her W with champions that have a stun or knockback. That said, it's nearly impossible to gank leblanc and her laning is relatively safe. When all else fails, roam.

thats not the optimal combo. optimal is dfg-r-q-w-e, but you dont really need the dfg. just q a minion, wait for your q cd, then flash combo for free kills.

btw, she's not actually worth playing imo. good at killing people that facecheck tho
