Any tips for a new vi player? Should I take item 3713 or item 3706 ? Some people told me to max w but shouldn't I max q for the cd? I just feel like its more viable by making q. If anyone could help it would be nice

Max Q first, then either W or E depending on the situation (usually E, but W isnt terrible). W requires sticking power and is for dueling/fighting, Q is more upfront and therefore better for short ganks.

item 3707 for sure. You don't need trailblazer sustain, you need cc.

  1. Max Q first in most situations. It's your main source of mobility, CC, and burst damage.
  2. Maxing W or E second is situational/preference. E provides more AoE while W provides more consistent, single-target damage.
  3. I would recommending using Stalker's Blade; the slow/MS-buff makes it easier to stick to targets and land Q.
  4. When ganking, save your ultimate for after the enemy uses their escape (flash, blinks, etc).
  5. If possible, run up behind your enemy when ganking and autoattack them before Q'ing. It's harder to dodge when you are right next to them. This is especially true if you have Red Buff to slow them.
  6. When necessary, build defensive items after Warrior. You are going to be in the middle of the fight, so you have to survive it.
  7. Take 21/9/0 masteries. The provide early damage for clearing and ganks and you get durable enough from items anyways.

something i told all my friends when we did one for all. Q aa E for max initiation burst. it allows u to get a full W passive off before they can even move.

Just use ult while yelling in all chat "BAYLIFE" and then they die.

reinforce the q e and r buttons on your keyboard since they are such low cooldown you don't need to worry about wasting your cd's because even if you miss everything you can just auto and still be about 50% hp

I usually build Stalker's Blade into Warrior, build Tabi (or Merc treads, depending on their comp), a Triforce, then build a Randuin's and Banshee's, finish it off with a BC. You can 1v1 ANYONE, and near instantly down squishies.

As for abilities, I start W, get E second, get Q third, max E, max Q then max W. Q>AA>E>AA>E>AA>R... anyone not a super tank is dead. :P

And make sure to remember that your E is an AA reset; if you use it immediately after an AA, you AA faster. Your Q will stun for a split second, so it's a good tool to stop channels and whatnot.

Stalker blade of course, Vi has rarely any sustain issues and her clear is fine. max Q then max E or w depending on game, I tend to put one point in E when maxing W so it doesn't charge so slowly, max W vs tank teams, and max E vs squishy teams. your build depends on game but I mostly get TBC if I am really ahead or they don't have tanks I get trinity cause the burst is higher or the armor shred is less needed, if they have like 3 tanks don't be afraid to build last whisper if you are the main damage source of your team.

generally go fighter build a good balance of offense and defense 2 items offence then start building tanky, the last item varies with games, so many items are great on Vi just look at what you need.

generally in ganks you want to start with Q, early game I tend to Q + flash for a quick early kill that's really hard to evade and it's lots of times first blood you want to use E effectively as it's resets your AA so AA-E-AA and you proc your W too. save ult for after you hit Q and they escaped, or just initiate with it if you get in range.

take 9 AD marks, 9 armor seals, 3 MR/lvl& 6 cdr glyphs and 3 attack speed quintences for optimal clear + tankiness (it's the standard for jungler fighters nowadays) on masteries go 21/9/0 of course attack speed vs cdr is player preference I prefer attack speed for better clear time.

Step one: Press R Step two: kill enemy carry Step three: ? Step four: Profit

Seriously tho getting trailblazer is worthless unless your horrible since vi doesn't have bad clear and it does nothing to help outside of that and killing the snail crab. Stalkers blade is fine but personally I prefer Skirmishers because its better for dualing and the true damage is nice for picking people off. Q should be the last thing you would EVER max idk why you would think for a second its even remotely a good choice the only thing that it does really is reduce cooldown to an acceptable level which is worthless since they will either be there to long for it to come back and they die before its up again or they run and unless they run from top tower to bot lane you'll still get one MAYBE 2 IF they are DC or just fight to long then decide to run but by the time kills really matter you will have the burst and CC to kill them easy. denting blows would be the best choice but excessive force isn't a bad choice since it stacks denting blows extremely fast since its an auto reset making the combo Q->auto->e->auto->e and they usually die until level 6 at which point the combo becomes Q->auto->E->R->auto->e and...well they will probably be dead by that point so...basically you play around denting blows using excessive force to stack it faster and Q to keep them in place for the first shotpeople will tell you build Warriors and shit like that but i personally enjoy triforce because Q activates it which is used on the auto after and the second or maybe even first Excessive force will do "tons of damage" you can listen to the people who tell you to max an extremely high coodlown ability that is one of the most telegraphed skillshots in the game or you can listen to me and max the auto reset which helps get kills and actually clear. It's also about how you want to play so people who don't like my choices can bite me i don't lose very often as vi and when i do its due to the other jungler being everywhere at once,my team gets destroyed or i have a really bad game.

Tombdragon has the first option for learning Vi. If you want to go for a duelist path, then definitely go item 3933 or item 3931 , varying on if you want more clear or to be fighting champions (item 3930 if you want more CC/don't trust yourself landing Q constantly.)

Sated with the W is an incredibly scary thing, but it really doesn't provide as much up front power compared to warrior's enchantment and maxing Q first. However, it will quickly ramp up and surpass the warrior if they stay too close for too long.
