Which Support to Buy

So Ive quit league on and off for various reasons and now im back, and I'm wanting to learn the support role. So to begin i want to say I'm still learning supports and how they work and where i should ward etc etc. But what i do know now is that i like aggresive supports...I like being able to poke down the adc and feel like im doing something in lane. I really like Sona because her poke is just soooo fun, I also like Lulu (Which i used during free week) again because her poke was great, but i also do like Blitzcrank because...well PULLS FOR DAYS.

So my question is, What Support should i buy? I have 6300 IP so any support is game. I own Soraka, Blitz, Sona, Janna (Which i dont like...she feels boring in lane). Champs Ive been contemplating are Lulu, Zyra, Braum, VelKoz, or Nami (Also Brand since ive gone vs Brand support and got destroyed) Please give possible reasons to the choices also give me a few tips :)

I really like Nami , she has excellent team fight abilities and really good laning :D I think that her only drawback is landing her q, its on a high cooldown and can be hard to land, but If you land it, you can make excellent plays xD

Out of the ones you're interested in I would suggest Zyra or Vel. Their both champions you can carry with due to their damage along with a little CC to help the team. They are both champions that can harass constantly in lane, especially Vel since he might as well have no mana costs.

Lulu rooroo is bae, get rooroo ;3

but seriously, she's an incredibly fun champ to play because of all her options. You always have to be a quick thinker when playing her, she's very high reward if you can make those clutch high-speed decisions. Lulu can also be played as a top lane, she's quite the lane bully.

Now I've also played her as adc.. but I keep that for normal games http://i.gyazo.com/5f3068609205fea0096a60d2c9766004.png

If you like aggressive supports, Alistar is your friend. He's my go-to support almost 75% of the time, with Leona and Thresh being close behind.

i main braum hes so tanky his q scales off health so that can do some serious damage late game his w and e are very good protecting abilities and his ult is amazing used in team fights and makes getting 3 or 4 kills for your team easy and can really turn the tide of a game

If you like dealing a lot of poke and being aggressive in lane, I suggest Velkoz. He has quite a bit of range on his abilities, specially his Q and R. The Q for max range takes practice since you need to learn to make use of the split function of it. Still, his kit is really great for if you just want to harass the enemy team. You just need to make sure you ward since you have no escapes. Also try to always have mana for his E if you're getting low. The knock up can be a life saver for you or your ADC. Even in team fights, he can bring a lot. All of his abilities can hit multiple targets if used well. Q can do pretty good poke and the slow is nice for chasing/running. W is good for poke and faster wave clear. E is great for disrupting enemy team or saving an ally. R just gives amazing chip damage for either finishing someone or setting them up for your team(can also be really useful for surprise ganks if you wait in jungle to fire it at an enemy). I usually max Q, E, W, and take R when able.

Pretty much all the supports you listed have good/great potential. Just need to practice with em.
