How in the actual heck do you use Janna? I'm absolutely failing to understand her, she feels so non-impactful people tell me "oh just use her E and you win lanes" but this doesnt make sense to me.
Any tips on her or supporting in general?

When enemy does a harass, you do a shield.
When enemy does an engage, you do a nado.
When enemy does a run, you do a slow with you w.
When enemy does a hurt, you do a heal.
press E on the carries. Press R when you carry is about to get dove. That's it. lol she is braindead asfuck and carries games with ease
Start building up your Q if you have to facecheck/ward a dangerous bush . Saved my ass many times. Also if you see your adc is attentive and quite agressive minded you can walkup to them to aa , shield yourself as they try to attack/engage on you and let tornado fly so your adc can get a couple of free autos of on their adc or an early kill if they tunnel on you.
You don't try to have an impact, that's the trick. You just react to what the enemies do. If they try making a play, you're there to prevent it with a big "lol nope". Janna is one of the very best defensive support, but she has a hard time creating action.
You may run into problems if your ADC can't CS well, though, and if the opponent is just okay with out-CS'ing him and waiting for late game.
Hold on to your Q for when your adc is going to harass or getting attacked, a bunch of people just spam it for some reason.
Start E. Shield Jungler.
E the ADC when he wants to trade, or when you know enemy is about to poke him. When you want to engage, walk up to enemy, press w, press Q, shield ADC and back off so they can kill them.
