Want to Learn Morgana Support

I've faced enough Morgana supports to know how much of a pest she can be. Facing her as Nautilus in particular makes me want to put my fist through the nearest wall. She also seems to have very little in the way of counters. Sivir seems to be the only matchup you'd be stupid to pick Morgana into because of her spell shield. The rest of her counters I imagine could be outplayed with the proper skill and experience, at least in lower ELOs. I mean, I've seen it happen plenty myself.

With all this in mind, I've chosen her as my next support. Her ult+Zhonyas combo is just too satisfying for me not to at least make an attempt. The same goes for Galio support because, if you can't tell, I love ults that let me hop right in the middle of things and lock everyone down in one fashion or another. It's why Amumu is my favorite jungler.

So, any tips outside of the obvious ones?

She is a great support that is relatively easy to use. Basically your job is to ward and hit binds. Tip: Preventive shields are usually not advised. Make sure to stack black shield and crucible correctly (if you ever use it). Take spellthief's over doran. Max W last.

Yeah..there really isn't much to say. She's a very simple champion.

If you're going to go item 3157 pick up item 3158 since you won't be building as much "utility". I still would recommend going more utility with item 3222 , item 3060 or item 3190 .

My only worry with doing the item 3157 build is it feels like it takes forever to get that needless, I honestly don't do it unless I'm ahead sadly.

The biggest thing that separates a mediocre Morgana support from a good one is the use of your E. If you can get them off before the cc lands you will auto stomp lanes.

The only supports I feel Morgie might have issues with are: Zyra , Karma and Sona . High poke champions that burn through her shields and since she has no sustain can do little to stop the barrage

Use W to proc spellthief's passive
if you know your R is going to stun someone (let's say botlane is going melee mode) and they're running away, save your q for after R's stun binds, then use q
you can throw out Qs for pressure, but don't overdo it unless you're confident in hitting it. Another thing is you can wait until they use their escape and then use it. For instance sometimes I'll wait for vayne to tumble before using q
remember, the shield blocks MAGIC damage (I kept forgetting bc I played too much Janna lelz)
don't forget to autoattack for maximum harrass

item 3089 way more tough as she builds more and more ability! Faced this fact as well. item 3027 item 3001 are also helpful. Though I have seen nothing but these hats across the board as well.

Put her shield on smart cast E.

its more clutch that way. Actually, I do that with all shields
