Need Tips For The Biggest NOOB In The Universe

Is There Something Wrong With My Technique? * /r/summonerschool

OK. I admit it. I'm the biggest noob in the universe. After 9 losses in a row, I gave up on the game. I no longer have any fun at this. What is really wrong with me?

So, I hate losing so much, I made a post on Reddit on about my techniques. I've been dying the most times in every battle, getting the least amount of kills all the time, and always fall behind on champion levels every... single... game.

I need to find the most optimal item builds, the most optimal rune pages, and the most optimal guides for many of the champs I like to use; Alistar , Fiddlesticks , MasterYi , Nasus , Renekton , Rengar , Teemo , Udyr , Volibear , & Warwick .

And on the comments on my Reddit post, I still having difficulty to fully understand things. Like, how can I learn more by actually checking out the guides instead of playing? How can I play a champion that was meant to be played instead of doing the "wrong" way? Why shouldn't I rush into a match and expect to learn when knowing nothing?

And the part about runes. Man, that totally got my brain scrambling. Why Tier 3 runes, and why should I stack runes of the same type? And are the AD and AP rune pages universal? How must I know which rune pages fits best to each specific champion?

What really troubles me is the mechanics and last hitting. Why can't I mindlessly auto attack all the time without a purpose? When's the right time to attack at all?

Tell me the truth. Am I really that far and disconnected to this game and how it's played? Am I that one-sided to attack minions and enemies for no apparent reason? Am I rushing into things because I wanted to get so many enemy kills? Am I completely stubborn? Am I totally off my game? Be honest with me.

  1. how can I learn more by actually checking out the guides instead of playing?

~ Guides can teach multiple things from very high ranking players that know what they're doing: Special Tricks with a champ( Leesin insec, Khazix double jump ect.,) Special combos( Q + W + AA + R), what to do at certain points of a game etc.

  1. How can I play a champion that was meant to be played instead of doing the "wrong" way?

~ There is no wrong way (sort of) but some champions are better at doing certain things than others

  1. Why shouldn't I rush into a match and expect to learn when knowing nothing?

~ You will probably feed and get flamed by other players IF its in a ranked game. IF in a normal game its alright to be a total newb and just practice playing a certain role/champ. Losing is alright if you learned from it

4,Why Tier 3 runes

~ Tier 3 runes are the best runes, Best because they give the best stat boosts

  1. why should I stack runes of the same type?

~ Runes give very little in terms of stats and stacking them maximizes their out put. You could have 1 of every rune but its not gonna do much in terms of stat boosts. Also certain colors (blue red yellow purple) Specialize in a stat, Giving more stats then another color. EXAMPLE - A yellow rune of armor will give more armor than a blue rune of armor.

  1. are the AD and AP rune pages universal?

~ yes, you can use any rune page on any champion and have up to 20 runes pages to use to specialize on

  1. How must I know which rune pages fits best to each specific champion?

~ Look up a guide for a champion and their role

  1. Why can't I mindlessly auto attack all the time without a purpose?

~ This is a hard one, if you auto attack mindlessly you will push the lane which can A. Lead you to be pushed up and ganked( you can avoid this with good map awareness and warding) B. Deny CS to the enemy via tower C. Deny exp if an enemy isn't there D. Push lane and take tower

  1. When's the right time to attack at all?

~ IF its basic csing you have to just know (like muscle memory) just try to hit the minion as low as possible.

  1. Am I really that far and disconnected

~ No, most of the community is in this region called bronze and silver or unranked. You are not alone

  1. Am I that one-sided to attack minions and enemies for no apparent reason?

~ Yes, CSing(Push or not to push) controls the flow of the game and learning how to control this "Flow" is one way to win a game.

  1. Am I rushing into things because I wanted to get so many enemy kills?

~ Heres the problem for many lowbies, KILLS DO NOT WIN YOU THE GAME. Period. Kills only HELP you win the game. 15 cs = 1 kill. Killing a player is great but you have to realize is that turrets, dragons , baron AND THE NEXUS is IMPORTANT. THE ONE AND ONLY REASON you should be killing an enemy is to CONTEST AND SECURE AN OBJECTIVE, If you are in lane you kill the enemy to get ahead and GROUP UP AND SECURE AN OBJECTIVE OR SPLIT PUSH AND SECURE AN OBJECTIVE.

  1. Am I completely stubborn?

~ Do you want help to become a better player? If yes then you are not stubborn just simply ignorant.

10 COMMANDMENTS FOR EVERY LEAGUE PLAYER ~ DO NOT BLAME OTHERS FOR YOUR MISTAKES. <--- This is every baddie out there ~ If you lose a game ITS YOUR FAULT. Period. ~ Your teammates mistakes are YOUR MISTAKES. ~ DO NOT SURRENDER, Learning to play from behind is good. ~ Not every game is winnable. Do your best to learn and improve ~ LEARN AND IMPROVE. Look at something that went wrong and SEE how YOU could of impacted or on how YOU impacted the out come. ~ You will not become a better player if you have to rely on others. ~ Record and watch games you played. Look for mistakes and how you could of changed it ~ DO NOT FLAME. IF YOU FLAME YOU WANT TO LOSE THE GAME. MUTE EVERYONE RIGHT WHEN YOU GET IN GAME ~ Experiment, don't be like me and be a diamond tryndamere player only to get demoted back to plat because i can only play tryndamere.Tryndamere Tryndamere Tryndamere

The reason why i wrote this : Salty af cuz my team I sucked ass and im in my 11th plat 2 promos -.- Just trying to make one less baddie in the world.item 3070

You need to start with the basics. Pick 1 champ and play that one to learn. If you keep swapping each game then you are not learning to last hit, or how to use the nuances of the champion(s). Yes, you can use the others later, but for now try to focus.

Everything the previous poster said is good, but it is a lot for someone to take in. Work on it in pieces. You can get better. Everyone strives to get better.

Only way I can give you some specific advice is by playing some games with you, which I am more than happy to do. I record every game I play so I can watch the replay after and let you know what specific things you need to work on. Add me and I'll take a look at your runes/masteries and play some norms with you.
