EVERYTHING IS BROKEN! (ESPECIALLY RANKED)

Well, I thought I was ready for ranked, but it's more difficult than I thought. After the placement matches, I got placed in Bronze 1. Yesterday, I played a few more to earn some league points, but I got anxious, got nervous, and got scared and I'm not doing well.

But the biggest reason is VolibearVolibear . I thought I knew about him, and I did so well with him some time ago. But, as it turns out, I've got nothing. I kept getting killed over and over and over! Most of my teammates complained about me not doing well as a tank. I know Volibear is a tank, but it gets too complicated on what tanks need to do. What runes go well with tanks? Which masteries should I go for as a tank? Which items should I pick as a tank?

After many games, I got absolutely no kills with Volibear at all! That got me thinking... that I think Volibear is broken. I tried to ask some of my online friends on what must I do, but I couldn't, didn't, CAN'T understand on what they're talking about. I tried one more ranked game with Volibear, this time against UdyrUdyr in top lane. I tried to go 1 on 1 with him and defeated me. After I got slain by Udyr for the 3rd time, I got completely ticked off and typed "THIS... MEANS... WAR!" And that's when all hell breaks loose.

I charged in on him for no reason whatsoever, and he kept killing me again and again and again! I tried everything to get a kill, but I got bupkes. I just can't kill Udyr on that game. And that became my breaking point. My ultimate breaking point. That convinced me that everything on this game is broken. Not just Volibear, EVERYTHING IS BROKEN!

So, I gave up. If I can't get a single kill at all in ranked, then why bother? Every single thing is this game is 100% broken, smashed, SHATTERED! I don't think it'll take a miracle to get me out of this funk. Not even all the guides in the world, nor all the videos in the world, nor even the coaches will help me now. Might as well give up on the whole game, and end it all.

  1. you must first realize you are terrible. When you realize that you are terrible, there's nowhere to go but up, so you can still improve.

  2. if you die once to an enemy in top lane, imagine that any time they are not in range of your turret or with your jungler nearby, they are an unstoppable god of war and death that you cannot even touch without dying instantly. So don't try. Farm only. If they engage you back off. If they zone soak EXP and wait for wave to push to you, try to make TP plays elsewhere or roam. The reason is, top lane snowballs extremely heavily, so if you die once in a fight, the next fight you will almost certainly die even faster unless your champion hits a certain power spike while theirs doesn't. Even then it's immensely risky.

Voli is not broken, he is insanely strong right now. Looking at your match history.. you should stay away from ranked, until you have a better grasp on laning, trading and how champions work, you went 0/15 (if you die more than 10 times in a game, you are doing something wrong, ESPECIALLY ON A TANK THAT HAS A PASSIVE HEATH REGEN sorry, but its true) v an udyr and you built magic resist against him.. thats not going to work out for you as im sure you know know. As Voli, you have an insane amount of damage you can dish out with your W active, you just need to use it. The first item i get on Voli every time is Titanic Hydra, from there look whos ahead, if its an AD champion, get an armor item, deadmans plate, thornmail, frozen heart etc. if its an AP champion, get magic resist. Focus on CS, get as much as you can, use your W to last hit if you must, but practice practice practice csing. At 5 Minutes the maximum amount of CS is around 50, (source: http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/6/65/Perfect_Creep_Score.png/revision/latest?cb=20111226174831) if you have close to 15-20 at 5 min youre doing okay, add that math at every 5 min interval at the game, theres no shame in playing bot matches to get better at csing while being constantly harrassed, its how I learned. Im not the best player in the world, but i know enough to say that you need to play more games, that are not ranked and learn more about the game the system is not broken, you just need to learn how to play against the stuff that seems OP at first. I have seen countless Volibears obliterate my team so I know for a fact that Voli is not broken in the way you just mentioned. I feel like your first mistake was going at that Udyr over and over again,you literally kept making him stronger and STRONGER (that is called feeding btw) this game is definitely broken but not as broken as people may think, its just that people dont take the tie to learn the game so they dont know why they are getting killed they just assumed it was that their q was on cool down and that maybe next time they will kill them "if only ___ situation had not happened" the problem is once you have died you just gave your opponent a lead and are now forced to play on the defensive to make sure your opponent does not get an even bigger lead. I can assure you you will get better if you take the time to play more games that are not ranked.my final words are that this game requires TIME and PATIENCE you can cant get better over night it will take constant matches of raging, of success, the dreaded Tilt and constant heckling of players that are just as bad as you are but in the end if you want to get good at league and accept you are not the best and are always striving to get better YOU WILL GET BETTER!!!! so get out there and play some more games (not ranked that wont help) Good Luck Summoner !!!

Well first off league is a game of survival not kill streaks. Second it's all about the GOLD!!!! ~15 cs is a kill, might sound not that good of a trade, but six minions every minute vs an intelligent and powerful champion you never have more gold from champions it just doesn't work that way. NEVER EVER attack, attack, attack, this isn't a fps it's a strategy game good plans > awesome plays. You don't need to know every thing about every champion, imo, just what makes them unique and why they can and will kill you. Take udyr (used to main him top) He is an all melee character that has four REGULAR abilities he is deigned to stand his ground against anyone 1on1 very very few champs can take him 1on1 with out a lead. One death is a big deal early on because they usually get a level advantage and they will get more gold then you. I've been playing for 2+ years and i have plenty to learn. If you would like me to elaborate i can, add me and we'll see what i can help with, i am unraked but that's due to no desire to be ranked
