The RNG is Too Excessive Right Now
I understand that RNG is supposed to play a role in Teamfight Tactics to minimize the effectiveness of skill in a board game simulator, but it is simply too much right now.
The randomness and the altogether ineffectiveness of chance re-rolls is a gamebreaker. Start the game with 2 Volibears, good deal... don't see another Volibear after 40 coins worth of re-rolls? That's a problem. Make it to the late game and are waiting on that potential tier 3 champ or tier 2 4 and above champ? Nah. RNG says you don't get it. Meanwhile, the enemy player has a lvl 3 Brand and Veigar and an entire lvl 2 comp with 8 guys to back it up... I guess he just got luckier on the re-rolls.
The champ selection rotation? You see that guy or item you really want that will be an asset to your team? Nope. The chance occurrence of the champ or item rotating away from you at the moment you are let out of your box has game changing implications. I'm all for whoever is in last going first. What I'm not okay with is getting let out of my box to get a champ or item, but getting beat to it by a higher health guy because the rotation just happened to favor him over me.
While it may seem small and nitpicky, this is game changing and gamebreakinig RNG. No one particularly enjoys losing to RNG or chance occurrences. I'm fine with losing because I'm bad. I do it on the daily. I'm not fine with losing because I'm unlucky... that's why I don't go to the casino.
What is the purpose of playing the game for 20 minutes if someone just gets lucky and re-rolls 9 Brands into the game? Meanwhile you can't reroll a 3rd Ezreal? It's over and for no other reason than some RNG.
Thanks for coming to my TedTalk.
