We Love You C9

As a C9 fanboy, I’d just like to say thank you to the C9 players for an awesome and exciting worlds run. I hate to see it end, but I don’t think anyone would argue that you were the most exciting and diverse team to watch this year (you too Vitality)!

You overcame so much trash this season. You overcame your awful coach and manager decisions and brought yourselves back up from the dirt after they tried to bury you. I half expect a few of you to change teams in the off season. I’ll remember this team forever, though! I love you guys! Keep your head up! You earned the pride of NA and the pride of the West!

Here’s rooting for FNC next week! Bring it home for us! (Not You Rekkles)

C9 beating the last year winning team plus reaching semifinals should be satisfying enough. Everyone's like EU > NA, while some of us are just sitting here actually surprised a NA or EU team made it to the finals for a change. I actually wanted C9 to win to see what skins would come out of that, but oh well...

Such a hard pill to swallow. So bittersweet. But yea... they still made a statement before this match. Thank you C9. You gave NA a reason to hope again, to actually be proud of NA if even just for a little while <3

Lord only knows TSM wouldn't have

C9 is a pride to NA as a region. Anyone who tries to take that away from them just because of 3 games after a year of hard work and great achievements is just insane.

2019

I expect them to come out swinging.

If it had been G2 they lost to, I'd be less bitter.

But why'd they have to lose to the LCS equivalent of Brexit?

A CSGO Major win Inaugural OWL victory under the London Spitfire A Top 4 finish in League defying a mountain of odds And whatever impact Mang0 is still bringing.

The C9 org has had a hell of a year. Focusing in on League, I'm fine with what the year wrapped up for with this org. By far and away the most successful with the first year for NA franchising in means of the collective roster, content creation, and results. It's nothing to be disappointed with in the end of the day.

Til next season when Shiro pops off...hopefully.

Another year, another "we gave it our all guys" thread from NA teenyboppers.

What's with the hate on with the hate on Rekkles on these boards? Sure he is not as good as he thinks, but that can be said about so many players. Just curious.

Good on FNC, I'm not spiteful towards them or the EU.

But as a C9 fan, I can't watch all of World's this year and then watch those games last night and arrive at any conclusions other than the obvious :

1 ) The show and match-up's are scripted. 2 ) EU imports intentionally threw to an EU team in semi-finals.

Call me a conspiracy theorist, call me crazy, call me reaching, etc... But I don't see how you can possibly think any different after seeing how bizarrely stupid they were playing last night.

I've loved Jensen as a player for a very long time. Bjergsen and Jensen are the two reasons I even still watch League e-Sports because I refuse to play this shit game anymore and it pains me to accuse him of what I honestly believe him to be doing last night or to think he's of that moral character.

Svenskaren literally walked it down top lane after being one of the key reasons C9 got ahead in all of the games leading up to FNC.

Honest to god never thought I'd say this but Sneaky was the best player in all of those games and I hate Sneaky.

It kinda resembled the other semifinal (first games being in one team's satchel from the begin, last game being enjoyable and fought to the end).

Regardless of your love/hate relationships with C9, you cant take away the fact that they are the only team from NA that consistently goes the distance in worlds. C9 has my respect even tho I will forever be a doublelift fan.

I was hoping this be a 3-2, but congrats to Fnatic for making it to finals. Also thank you C9 for an awesome run. Ruined everyone's pick'em, getting out of the cancer group stage, denying Korea a title run. I'll be rooting for Fnatic to bring a championship back to the Western.

As an EU player, i wanted C9 to win just so NA could have a Worlds under their belt too.

But i wanted Fnatic as they were my last hope for the 34 pts mission icon. Kind of irrelevant on my opinion about the teams themselves.

Regardless, massive respect to C9 for making it that far. I've never thought of losing in the Worlds, outside of the group stage as a shameful thing. These teams are monsters that think as one with each player being a limb. Fnatic truly destroyed C9 but C9 showed incredible skill regardless.

I watched the mechanical plays C9 pulled off and went in my head like "Yup, i would not have done that successfully. I would have freaking inted in that fight and thrown the game way sooner than they lost it. Their vision game is way above and beyond what i've been able to do when it comes to blind target finding (through fog of war) and decision making."

I guess my point is: Well done, Cloud 9. See ya again next year!
