When one team was fated to win TFT, and then you pull off a 1 HP upset.

Okay.

You see that 4 3 star Predator at #4? He had all those very early, got plenty of items, and was 100 HP until round 4.

Me? I was trying to itemize for a mage Zed comp, because the game before I had one and saw what a monstrosity it could be (a few rounds I had 24 Zeds on the map with full build!...... only for him to get nuked in a round and the match being over for me)

I was economizing, and wasn't getting crap for items at all this game.

Like.... every single creep round was mostly coins. No Items at all.

Furthermore, carousels weren't delivering BF Swords, Gloves, or Staffs.

I ended up actually putting Red Buff, and Trap Glove on Thresh , an a item 3142 on Brand. That's how wonky my items were.

Once I got Kha, I was still losing with 1 star Kha. Only had a item 3031 I could put on him.

At 1 HP i got desperate, rolled away EVERYTHING, leveled up to 9, and managed to get 3 infernal, which saved my bacon somehow for another round.

I managed to get a item 3085 in items that I just threw on Kha Zix because oh wth.

Welp..... the item Carousel round came around and gave me Force of Nature, and Drake tossed me a item 3040 .

I was almost 3 Star Sidebar Veigar, and almost 3 star sidebar Brand. But hey. I went oh wth..... and started rolling. 1 round before end, I got almost 3 star Kha, and rolled a bit, sold the others, and got to see what 3 Star Kha looks like.

Omfg. If this was 6 Assassin Kha would have been doing 2600 Crits. The unkillable assassin just began teleporting in the final round.... you didn't even see him jump. Just .... kill...... Kill..... kill ..... kill.

And this beat a monstrous 3 star comp :S.

(This kind of explains why I criticized someone earlier today for trying to build a team around Ezreal with 2 Seraphs.)

I was with you until you said

So what?? I've qued several games intentionally, not even trying to win but just solely with the intentions to try and get 3 seraphs on veigar because I wanted to see him spam ults... Closest I ever got those 4-5 games I tried was 2 + 1m tear.. was still hilarious... Some people just have fun trying to make a 'dream' or theory craft work. Hell, when a game has lots of ways for you to theory craft it's actually more fun for me, gives me something to think about while i'm driving home from school or work.

Personally I think there was way more unique ways to flex a champion out in set one but there's still some room to try and find a statistical outlier and break the game somehow... I did manage to get 3 rage blades on a lvl 2 lux one time and she was casting her ult every other second, was amazing and similar situation to yours, came back and won with 1-2 hp.

EDIT: Finding new ways to become a statistical outlier has always been a thing of mine, even in other video games, min/maxing and getting in the top 1% of possibilities, well outside the bell curve... It's a good feeling when you can pull it off. Don't think theres anything wrong with someone wanted to experiment.

I've seen plenty of upsets with less than 10 hp. It's when you try to get your 2-star fully equipped Guinsoo Olaf, or Mage Zed, or Singed, or Taric, or Nami, etc all game long, and it finally happens when you are on the brink of elimination, and they save you and carry you to the win.

There is a big problem with it: the risk is way too high. Most of the time it doesn't happen, and you lose. One epic win won't feel quite as good when it's accompanied by 3 losses.

Well, Bravo. TFT returns satisfactory story like this one only rarely, but it's a rush when it happens.

(Try to remember to take one or two screenshots of late game... They don't give us enough match history.)

Some matches, it feels like a champion has been removed from the pool and is completely unseen until rather late.

It seems odd that the builds for all opponents, only one bronze Olaf was played.

Assassin Brand doesn't sound like such a good idea... when I need a third Assassin with Youmou's I'll usually stick it on somebody Tanky... Assassin SIlver Malphite or Yorick.

Besides, it's much more amusing.
