Please get rid of late game Full Item Carousels.
I understand early Carousels as being "Catchup" Mechanisms because they give half an item, and possibly a desired champ to those who have low performances.
But..... Late game carousels do NEITHER.
Late game carousels literally give free full items that change games to those who are doing poorly the entire game, and even potentially champions which are game changers like Cho/Draven/Kayle/Jinx who are carrying them.
I can't count the number of times 5-4 Carousel has completely upended who is going to win overall.
Last game, I had a player who had been getting items but was in last 3 places the entire game..... get 2 Spear of Shojins. It automatically took me out of the #1 seed that was dominating everyone..... and put him in it.
Last night, I had a player who had 0 economy entire game, get TWO Force of Natures off the Carousel, giving his level 7 Legend 9 Champs, with with his 3 stars he wasted his gold on rerolling. How do you think that feels when I had perfect Econ control, got to level MAX by Carousel 5-4 (was level 6 by the first Carousel) and had literally 100 HP until 3 people were left, and one was him? Never mind the fact that I got 100 HP/Max Level with ZERO MINION ITEM DROPS. So he gets 2 Force of Natures + his 3 stars + the items the system DID drop for him...... and I get 3 items total from Carousels. (Also rolled over 45 times trying to get a Swain to proc up in a game where only 1 other person had Swain. He showed right as I lost the last round, after 2 drake rounds!)
#This imo is the most antifun factor of TFT: You work hard to establish a solid board and the right units.... and then you are punished for actually doing well, after a point. Catch-Up Was never meant to be "Full Speed Ahead."
