There's something about the card slot that I truly don't understand.

Just an example:

Today I wanted to build Zed. No other players had Zed. My game lasted 29 minutes and I saw only one Zed card, so I could not upgrade him. However, 3 enemy players had a two star Lulu and one of them had a three star Lulu.

People tell me the card slot can be empty when others pick it. So why is it possible that Zed does not show up ever again, but Lulu is in the card options tons of times? Shouldn't she be removed from the card slot if she's being picked so many and seemingly easy?

I have seen this a lot and I don't understand how it works. I have had games where 5 players had the same champion in a 2 or 3 star unit but I can't find one champ that no one has?

RNG. Sometimes champions just...don't show up because they never roll early on, and champions like Zed become less and less common as the game goes on (r1 champions, in particular, go down to only a 10% chance to appear at level 9).

Since I'm reasonably sure the game rolls the rank then the champion in that rank, and since I'm pretty sure there are more rank 2 champions than any others, it makes Zed pretty rare as the game goes on.

######Unless, of course, you don't need Zed. Then he'll be half of every fucking roll because RNGeesus is an asshole sometimes

so yeah riot clearly have a skilled programming team, making a probability algoritem is really simple.

there is also tons of ways, lets go with the most generic and easy one.

you have a Stack of card. you put each card lets say 2 times. and have 10 diffrenet cards.

now you take a random number between 1-20(number of cards). and take this card, with each card you remove you have -1 cards obviously. so we take 5 card in hand.

so the last card drew would be 1/15.

anyway. it works its simple it would never fail, unless you'r random number generator suck balls, but why not use pseudo number generator, should work just fine,

in the long run if you run 1000 of hands, you would get a very random variation of hands, with some being simillar and some not, even with 100 hands, you would still get a very random hands.

but i guess somewhere along the way riot somehow failed with this algoritem.

and what can you expect of guys, who actually implemented "random" matchmaking, and then we get ABABABA matchmaking system. where you face the same 2 people tons of times in a row.

Just had a game with just a single ahrie across all players for the entier game, and two veigars. No one went for them, and i couldn't get any more than those. Hpwever, 3 dudes went rangers and all had theri kindret early and ashe/varus/vayne at lvl 2, one even ahd two lvl 2 ashe and one a lvl two kindret. 3 players went for cho, two got him at lvl 2... but getting my ahrie or veigar that no one else uses to 2? Nope, hat sheared pool is a lie...

edit: followed by a game where i got my garen to lvl 3 befor finding a second darius...
