Why do I need to run around to collect items/gold?

There is no world where I DON'T want to pick these things up.

The only reason they exist is TO BE picked up.

Why do I have to drag my awkward ass dopey little legend over to pick all these things up when there's literally no way I'd ever NOT want them?

And then my awkward, dopey ass little legend is just standing there in the middle of the battlefield looking stupid, and is too stupid to figure out how to get himself back up on his little pedestal because whoever coded the terrain for this game is an absolute moron.

Just give me the damn gold and the items. Its so annoying to have to go walk to pick them up all the time. Its so annoying to have my little legend stand there looking stupid in the middle of the battlefield and impossible to get back where he started. I gotta wait for the ridiculous little teleport animation to put him back up on his little platform and out of my way.

And god forbid I want to right-click a champion to look at their stats. Herpty-derpty-doo, here comes my stupid little legend out onto the battlefield because for some reason we thought it was a good idea to make "Look at champion info" the same hotkey as "Move my stupid little legend that literally only exists to be a cash grab"

That's the only reason these things exist. Money. There is no strategic or user-experience related reason for these things. This game would be just as good, if not BETTER if we didn't have these stupid moveable characters that serve no purpose at all (except to make money....and grief-spam emotes).

Creeps drop gold? Just add it to my total. Creeps drop money? Just put it on my sideboard.

When would anyone ever be like "Oh no, I don't want that gold." or "Oh no, I don't want that item."

"Oh but what about the carousel round?"

Fuck the carousel round. Any other autochess/autobattler does it better without a stupid carousel round. Just another absolutely unnecessary RNG shit show. The only reason I play the league version is because its based on league and I don't have to go out of my way to learn a whole new system, champion list, item list, etc etc. THE ONLY reason.

If I'd never played League before I'd be playing Dota Underlords or Autochess: Origins because they're just plain better in every conceivable way. Nothing about TFT even holds a candle to its competitors. The only thing TFT has going for it is players like me who are too lazy to sit down and learn that much about a new game.

I already put ~10 years into this game learning all the ins and outs. One decade of learning a video game is enough for me.

You didnt used to have to go pick things up. They recently added that to justify their monetization little legend.

There really is zero reason to have little legends in the game at all. So they are willing to break good game design practices and force you to do things most anyone finds not enjoyable to justify them even being part of the game.

Its all about the money.

Not that it solves your entire post.. But I made a post a couple weeks ago about wanting to return my Little Legend back to it's home spot(Where you can't click) and lots of people pointed out that you can click past it and use the S Key to stop your little legend in it's proper spot as it passes through it.

Like I said, not an answer to your entire post - But it helped appease my OCD a little bit by being able to return my Little Legend to where it belongs.

AFK check.... All I can think of.. Had folks afking for good chunks of time before you had to run to pick up the item/gold.

Good point. There's no reason not to pick up gold/items. This should be automatic like it was when the game was first released. Anybody else remember the automatic item pickup when the game first came out? The good old days...
