Is it just me, or are nearly 80% of #1's Assassin comps now?

Title;

I've played about 20 ranked games so far, and here's what I've seen so far:

Literally every single comp that supposedly "has the synergies" to win #1 has been an Assassin Comp. I've tried Yordle; get knocked out around #3. I've tried Demon: get knocked out around #2-4. I've tried Brawler: get knocked out at #2. I've tried Shapeshifter comps backed by dragon/sorcerer: get knocked out #3-4.

The only comp that consistently gets #1 seems to be assassin comp with some sort of tank in front of them.

The only build that I've seen that comes even close is Noble, and it too loses to Assassin Comp, even with all the armor/heals.

So.... I just went Darius Poppy Zed Khazix Katarina Pyke Poppy and just dominated on first try in awhile.

By the last 2 players, I was still 47 HP and they were 2 HP. The other player ran 6 Nobles and one of those was a 3 star Lucian with 2 SoS..... along with 3 other 3stars.

Maybe Assassin needs toned down a little?

The AI is not coordinated enough to allow board positioning to overcome how braindead assassins are.

Kat, Akali, or Pyke all have the ability to end the match by getting one ability off. It needs to be changed and I have no idea how it has made it this far without being nerfed.

I won 2 games in a row against Assassins once by throwing 2 star Yasuo in the corner against them another by having 3 star Kennan blow them all up when they jumped on my team around him since he was in the middle. They always jump to the farthest champ away so you can pretty much force them to jump to a spot you want them in. The comment that they are "weak" however is asinine because they can still get lucky and crit through if you don't have one or two PDs on your team and getting 2nd place certainly isn't weak. The problem is that you don't know you are facing assassins until you are facing them in the very last set of rounds so typically they place near the top because no one is formed just to beat assassins yet because you will probably lose if you used that same formation against another team.

Assassins are broken af. The top players are pretty much in agreement with this.

idk what rank you are or where you're playing, but I smash assassins all day without even trying.

Id even say they're weak right now.

Literally all you have to do is not put your important champions on the outer limits of your composition. Thats it. And if you're really scared about it, stack some armor. Thornmail is actually pretty decent now. Phantom dancer was ALWAYS good, and still is. But honestly you don't even need items -- just don't put your carries as your furthest unit away.

Look at other people's boards before you fight. If you see someone stacking assassins (and there's probably only one) -- move your army to counter it. They jump to the furthest unit. Make it something like a kassadin or a knight or a brawler that can keep them at bay long enough for your squishies to acquire new targets. Assassins are some of the lowest health units in the game, even at 3 stars they'll get melted if literally anyone's paying attention to them.

A 2 or 3 star phantom dancer morgana with a little bit of armor and maybe a redemption will single-handedly wipe an entire assassin comp off the board.

A morellonomicon garen with a little bit of armor will single-handedly wipe an assassin comp off the board.

Instead of saying something is broken or OP, figure out how to beat it.
