Can we remove "Wearer is now a(n) X" items from late game creep stages?

Nothing worse than getting to drake and watching the 4 other people get Rapidfire, Guinsoos, Dragons Tooth, Redemption

....... and I get a goddamn knights vow when I'm not even running knights.

Was absolutely dumpstering people, would have easily placed 1st or 2nd. Place 4th instead because everyone got an item they could use and I got rubbish.

There's no reason to have these items drop from drakes, herald, etc. Sure there's the off chance that it gives you the right one and that's pretty epic -- I'm sure that would feel great. But in my experience it never gives you the right one. Always gives you "Wearer is now a blademaster" when you're not running blademasters. Or "Wearer is now glacial" when you're not running glacial.

Its just such a kick in the pants, decides too many games in the later stages. I say remove it all together and just throw a better chance of getting a spatula. Just make it so if one of these "Wearer is now a....." items was gonna drop -- drop a spatula instead.

That way its up to me what I do with it, and it could potentially be helpful. Instead of having a fairly high chance to be absolutely worthless for my composition.

Edit: or how about making it a bit smarter? if its going to drop one of these kinds of items -- check my comp and see what I need. Give me that one. (This would probably be OP, but its just another idea I had after the fact)

One item doesn't completely change the chances of you winning that game. You probably had something else you could've done to win. I really doubt you were absolutely dumpstering people then you started losing. Chances are, people transitioned into better builds after that point compared to you.

Nah. I was in 1st smashing everyone (I think I had 70ish health, 2nd place guy had like 20ish?) and dropped to fourth, legitimately the only thing that changed was the items we got from drake.

I think one of the guys might have maxed out a warwick? But that's it. So that would put me in 2nd if it made any difference (which it might have)

But the other 2 board states did not change from that point on, aside from the acquisition of a better item. And that makes perfect sense, because items are very powerful.

If I put a 3-void group of 1-star champions out there against a 3-void group of 1 star champions with a rapidfire cannon -- guess who wins? The team with the RFC, of course -- and quite handily.

I'm not sure what there is to doubt here. Pretty sure you just enjoy being condescending and judgy.

That example is pretty ridiculous. If I put a 3-void group of 1-star champions out there against a 3-void group of 2 star champions - guess who wins?

Of course they have an inherent advantage so they'll win. All I'm saying is that you had still had a chance to win, and you could've done something better. Almost none of those items will make such a huge drastic impact you suddenly start losing, except maybe the Dragon's Claw if you were full sorc. Redemption could potentially do something massive, but that's not something over your control.

I really love it when people on the boards judge my personality off one post. Being very hypocritical right now.

Actually, it does.

Earlier I had a game of tft, when it was just me and one other person left, it would seem like my win was set since I basically blew the other 2 at the end out. However, even with changing my team around so his assassins couldn't jump onto and oneshot my Varus, my Braum still wasn't enough to prevent him from dying since even while he was 3 stars, he couldn't survive the 3 item, 3 star Kat long enough for Varus to kill her.

Right after that fight(2 fights?) was Rift. Who had a Warmogs. It might not seem like much, but when on a 3 star Braum? It helped quite a lot with keeping him alive long enough for Varus to be able to turn on the Kat and kill her, which won me the fight since she couldn't kill Braum, and by default couldn't kill Varus.

If it was any other item, it might not have helped. But putting a Warmogs on a 3 star Braum meant healing. And that healing helped a lot.

The AI could've potentially aggrod differently. There's so many variables in the game to just say "Warmogs won me the game," and not the randomness of the champion movements winning it.

Nope. My set up was in the bottom spot just above bench Braum in the corner, Varus, Lulu, Morgana. Then in the line above them was Nidalee, Garen, Warwick. The entire final fights, the ai stayed the same. They targeted the same people, jumped to the same spots. As shit as the AI is, it doesn't change much unless you actually change your set up.

Hm that's pretty weird. I've had games against friends where we don't move champions but the outcomes change.

You still gain elo for coming 4th though, what’s the complaint?

Your teamcomp must’ve been ass

Not complaining about the LP gain.

Complaining about the fact that the item drop cost me MORE of an LP gain.
