50% armor pen is pretty damn useless, especially early game which is when you typically unlock the set.

I have to agree. The only time void would be any good is if the opponents use armor items but even then the damage increase is so meaningless. I think someone did the math and the basic damage increase was around 10% to an enemy with no items. It wouldn't be so bad if the void class heroes had more damage in their kits. The only decent void damage comes from Kha'zix and Kassadin if you build him for damage. Rek'Sai is just bad and Cho is just a really good front liner. The void buff needs a little more kick or at least it needs to be useful.

I've been getting 1st place with Void consistently.

Edit: Always fish for Cho, if you use Rek'Sai for early game she can service okay but never try to keep her for the entire game. Cho/Kassadin/Kha are the way to go 100%

To further expand upon my last post, Void imo is one of the stronger origins due to a few reasons.

  1. You dont have to fully invest in them. You get 3 and you're done. You typically focus on your level 7-8, which means you can have a 4 set along with Void by level 7 which is where you need to be super strong. Having a 3 set requirement is really good.

  2. You can start investment early. Everything besides Cho, although if you can help it Reksai should be avoided later, she's not terrible to work with early to get by. You can get Khas and Kassadins super early on which means you get a far higher chance of getting 3 stars of them.

  3. The Void champions, outside of Reksai, are just very strong. Cho's ability is super good and was buffed actually. Kassadin becomes broken with items, nearly unkillable with certain combinations. You gotta know what the items he needs are though. Kha is just a solid pick.

  4. My favorite combo, my personal favorite that is the only one I've hit 1st place with but have done it 4x with now, is Void+Wild because they synergize so well together. Extra AS + Armor ignore works very well together.
