From Demon supremacy to Void supremacy. Did things really change?

We went from a meta dominated by Demons to a meta dominated by Void/brawler units... And like the last meta, if you don't run Void in your comp, you're pretty much screwed! Unless RNGesus smiles upon you, granting you the 6 Noble exodia instawin, or a triple item 3087 Ranger comp!

Who would've thought that giving 100% unavoidable TRUE damage from attacks (AAs + abilities) to Void units, would break the meta once again, hein? Even a 6 year old would have figured that out... And it's not like you go up gradually toward the 100% true damage, by going through different layers of synergies, either. It's a one time thing: You get 3 Void units, that's it, 100% true damage acquired on your Void units! And remember, true damage is unavoidable: nothing in the game, except for invulnerability, can save you from it.

Oh, wait! What's that? Chogath is a Brawler, you say? Well, better bring in 3 other Brawlers (one of which is another Void unit in RekSai) to buff up his HP so he can survive longer and obliterate the enemy team with his bigass AoE damage... Oh, sorry, I meant bigass AoE TRUE damage that also happen to be a bigass AoE knockup too! My, bad...

And it's not like Void is any less flexible than Demons were. You can go with Void + Brawlers + ANYTHING, really. You can also either keep Khazix and go Void + Assassins, or keep Kassadin and go Void + Sorcerers, and we all know what that means, right? Requiem time, baby!

You know you're really bad at balancing the game when you shift the OP state from one trait to the next one, negating most of your balancing attempts. It's the same situation as before, all over again, except now, instead of dealing with your units getting mana burned to death, you're now dealing with your units getting almost insta killed by an unavoidable AoE true damage/knockup... unless you're Lucian, that man got moves!

I don't like your tone, but I agree with your message.

Just shifted the OP strat from one broken nonsense to another.

Difference is -- I was building brawlers anyway, so... yay me.

at this point, if you don't draw chogath, you are completely fucked imo, that champion is pure busted

I find it funny that everyone immediately jumps at "True Damage" as being some ridiculous overpowered thing just on its own merit when that's really not true. An ability could do literally 1 point of damage like Twitch's poison and the league community would whine about "WTF True Damage, this is overpowered!"

Let's be real about this. Most units in TFT don't even have very much armor, except for specific tanky units (Leona), Guardian bonus (Braum/Leona), or Exodia Nobles (hey it's Leona again). It does mean that their spells can cut through Dragons Claw and Dragon bonus, which is significant, but the only Void caster that really does a lot of that is Cho'gath.

Are void units really that broken? I don't know, maybe. I can say that Brawler bonus is pretty damn good. But please, please come up with a better argument than "WTF TRUE DAMAGE IS BROKEN".

Imo the problem with the game atm is not really void but Cho gath ult. That should be looked into as its well just stupid. Next on the list should be adjusting item drops and making sure a champ can only hold one of each item so we get rid of this stupid item stacking.

Its really not that strong. Yes, they can do true damage.... But cho is the only void capabpe of effectively using the true damage buff later in the game.

Kass is mostly a tank

Rek is.... Rek... Kinda a durable frontline... Thing... Shes never been useful, lets be real

Kha is a 1 cost assassin who, sure, can do good damage... Until later in the game when units are rarely isolated.

Theres simply not enough voids for it to be amazing.

90% of my Diamond games are filled with 3 Sorc+Ele/Yordle and Guardian/Ranger. Those comps pretty much always win in that elo and people only go Rengar carry when they highroll and i see the occasion full nobles high roller. Void is actually kinda trash in the late game and people generally transition out of it even in the comps that it's good. Cho on the other had... One of the best epics
