I'm honestly having fun. Downvote me.

I love this game type. I'm having more fun with this than I've had in a long, long time with league of legends. I don't get all the negativity.

The game isn't nearly as broken as all these people with torches and pitchforks would have you believe. Sure there could be some work done with the RNG, sure some champions are overpowered, sure AI sometimes behaves erratically -- but its beta.

Also... the same things happen in league. You have no control over any of your team mates in league. That's RNG. If not moreso than TFT. But people call that "Fair" and "Balanced" all the time. I don't see the difference.

The only difference I see is that in League, that RNG will win or lose you the game and can be absolutely 100% out of your control. Someone going 0-10 in mid lane against a decent or above-average yasuo is a death sentence no matter how good you are. How many factors are at play there? You've got your team mate, you've got the enemy player, you've got items, you've got 6 other players influencing that matchup in various ways, you've got gold income, creep denial, minion wave management -- there are a TON of factors in that matchup that you have no control over unless you're one of the two players in it... and you just lose because it went a certain way. It feels bad, because you have no control.

In TFT, you've got nobody to blame but yourself. What happens in a game is entirely up to you. How you react to the RNG, how you play your cards, when you decide to build your economy, when you decide to dump it, what composition you decide to play, how you decide to react to other players -- its all you. You can't blame anyone.

Sure, that one match your Darius just stood still and didn't attack anything -- its beta.

Sure the item RNG could be a little more fair, but its going to be just as unfair just as many times to other people as it is to you. Any other opinion is just recency bias. The RNG is bad for everyone -- not just you. So that's a lame excuse. Also -- its beta.

Sure some comps are pretty strong, but I haven't found one yet that can't be countered in some way or another. Also -- its beta.

All in all, I'm having a fantastic time with this, and I consistently place top 4. I even place first fairly often, and I'm climbing rapidly. It feels really good. One of the main problems I have with LOL is that I play mostly team-oriented champions, and if I get a bad team I'm just screwed. I have no decision in the matter. On TFT -- I have only myself to congratulate, and only myself to blame. How I play directly affects the outcome of the game. How I play is the ONLY contributing factor to the outcome of the game. I love that.

Keep up the good work riot -- this game is awesome. It needs some polish but.... ITS BETA.

Reacting to what things RNG gives you is fine.

Reacting to how many things it gives you is not.

Fix item drop RNG. That's all we want.

You are right. I agree with most that you wrote. However.

That it is beta is not an excuse when they launched rankeds. Also they were testing it on PBE and from what I heard, PBE servers were full, that popular it was. And if some bugs prevailed, then there were 2 weeks (in EUNE at least) when we could play it and we did and we reported all bugs we encountered and made suggestions to them about items.

They heard/read it and decided that item quantity rng is fine and to silent our complaints they made lootboxes instead which might give you item or crappy gold. Which is an insult + I still got nothing not even single lootbox in two games. So apparently you are not guaranteed even that 1 gold from first minion wave. So nothing really changed. They had time and they heard us complaining about it and they deliberately choosed to keep it this way.

So no beta is no excuse especially when they are selling stuff related to TFT for hard cash.

The game is fun and I play it. But item quantity diff is unfair and you cannot strategize against it unless the person doesn't use those items to their full potential aka building weak (and bugged) items like redemption and GA or putting them on champions they don't work well (like RFC on Darius). Playing against same players over and over is another issue. And no, that everyone has a same chance to get lucky/screwed is stupid argument. If it was why would you even update this mode ever again? Everything is fine then, right? Everyone has a same chance to get buffy unit so why would we fix it.
