Tooltip for PvE monsters, detailed ability/item descriptions and 2 item slots per unit
Dear Riot,
I know that you're probably gonna rework the tooltip for everything, at some point down the line, but I kinda wish the tooltip for every unit's ability and every completed item in the game, had more details in its description, right now. Like the duration of a debuff/Buff and the exact proc chance.
Also, Why can't we inspect PvE minions and monsters to see their stats?! And why can't we inspect units anywhere on the map, during the carousel round?! I'm genuinely asking because I'm curious if there is any reason for it, or you just forgot, or something.
For the item slots, I think that having 3 item slots for each unit is too much, imho. Especially considering the heavy RNG based item drop system in game. I think 2 slots should be reasonable enough. Right now, in the best scenario possible, by the last round of the game, you're gonna have 2 people fighting with maybe 2 units on both sides, stuffed with 3 items each (maybe 3 units if very lucky?), and the rest of the units are left out dry, just there to tank damage and buy time for those 2 units, who got all the items, to carry the fight.
I think this limits the potential that so many units have in the game, and I think having 2 slots only, per unit, will open up even more options and more diversity in team comps and allow for certain units to actually be considered and used. Since you can only put 2 items/unit, the game would balance itself, I think, and more units will get the privilege of getting items, instead of only one hyper carry getting all the good things, you know!
Because, right now, the game is all about getting that one (maybe 2) hyper carry stuffed with items and then putting a bunch of other units that will give him the best synergy possible while being tanky enough or useful enough (with CC) to buy him time to carry. Which is a dull and very linear playstyle every single game, imho.
So yeah, in this case, I think less is more. Less item slots, more gameplay diversity.
What do you guys think?
