[CHAMPION CONCEPT] Razo, the Master of Madness
Razo is a unique, control oriented Mage that utilizes the old Fear mechanic in a new fashion known as Madness now. He is a great, yet slightly unreliable at times, lane bully that can then help his team seize their lanes as well through his ultimate, Death Worm who has a ginormous appetite for champions of various shapes and sizes! To wrap it all up in a pretty bow, Razo's passive allows him to leave his enemies in the middle lane of his whereabouts due to its high vision reduction. This then becomes a very valuable in teamfights, allowing him to "blind" (not the satanic Teemo type of blind) the entire enemy team if he is able to hit an area of effect ability. Now, without further ado, our champion's tale leading up to his stardom!
LORE
"NO! I do not want to leave. War isn't my thing! It is but a bunch of sweaty men killing each other!"
"Come son, you know the rules. The drafting never spares anyone, anyone including YOU!"
Razo could feel the hostility of the guards as they grabbed him and dragged him out of his family's house, his parents watching him leave, mother in tears. Demacia's call for arms was to many a ray of hope for greatness and fame. However, to those who wanted to use their gifts of magic and swordsmanship for other purposes, it was a looming shadow that plucked the talented from their well-made nest. Razo tried to break free of their grasp, but their tight, steel armor only worsened his efforts, leaving escape hopeless.
"Please, I won't tell anyone you let me go, not even the man at the fancy restaurant who I talk to when I'm drunk! My gifts call for elsewhere!"
"STOP SQUIRMING YOU EMOTIONAL HAMSTER!"
He eventually gave up for escape, leaving him to be dragged to the main palace to be made as a soldier for the king. Half way there, however, a strange man seemed to be following him. One of the shadows it seemed, never leaving the alleyways or shady coverings. Right as they arrived at the palace doors, the old man flew out from his shadowy hiding place and a puff of purple smoke appeared around them, causing the guards to let go of Razo. Making a swift break for it, he ran away, making sure to do it in fashion. For the fans of course. When he had escaped guard pursuit, he could see the old man approaching him.
"My thanks of friend of mine, if it weren't for you, I would have been surely slaughtered on the fields of battle."
The old man remained silent before quickly stuffing a strange orange cloth on Razo's head. Razo fell back, blacking out for unknown reasons.
"What is... this..."
The next time, Razo opened his eyes, he was in a building of black shadows. Eyes glared at him from behind black bars, looking at him with evil glares. Wait... bars? Razo looked around and woke up quickly upon noticing the black bars that left him inside the cold forest room.
"What in the... who dares lock me away in such a cold, black room? It is soggy and smells of raw tuna!"
Razo gained no response for a couple minutes when suddenly, a strangely fancy looking plate materialized on the floor in the corner of the room. He went to get it and ate ferociously, starving. He began to wonder how long he had been in here when suddenly, a voice that wasn't a growl came from the cell next to him. It was but the voice of a maiden, a woman who sounded in distress.
"Who be this fair maiden who talks in such a calm form in this dreadful place?"
"If you wish for a name, I am afraid it is a lost cause. However, if you wish to know where you are, I am afraid there is no answer you will like. We are trapped, dreadful smelling prisoners. That's all there is to it."
"But there must be a better explanation for this! For I am magic and can simply fry these bars."
"If you can then do it. Why haven't you done it already? This place only gets worse over time due to overcrowding."
"But... I would like to gather my surroundings first and know as much as possible as a poor planned escape is but worthless if these bars tell any tales of truth."
"Heh, smart. I didn't expect anyone of such nature to ever be brought into this place."
The conversation continued for several minutes before Razo began to begin his analysis of the place. In the cell across from him was the soul of grand worm of death who could easily be manipulated for use by simply promising power. To the left, there was a strange being of no use to him according to his guest to the right. After an hour or so of planning, Razo began his escape.
"Ready, set, action!"
He pressed his hands against the bars, squeezing as hard as he could, but to no effect.
"It seems we might have to up our... ANTSY!"
Razo stood back before blasting the door with strange magic of orangish color. Upon hitting the bars, cracking them, the large magic blast split into several pieces before homing in on the bars. Upon contact, the bars exploded, allowing Razo to jump out of his captivity.
"Free at last! Now, worm, you do my bidding and grand power will be promised to you once we bust out of here!"
Roaring in response as Razo used the same method to bust open it's cell, the worm quickly charged out before standing still. Razo hopping onto the back of the beast, he lipped up his hands before placing his palms on the beast's head area, instantly calming it. He turned to his friend in the his neighboring cell.
"Do you not wish escape from this horrid place? It seems you wish to be freed."
"It's no use, the bars on my cell are much more tight than the others. I know it. You aren't the first to throw magic at these bars, whether to harm me or not."
"Alas, I see you are correct. These bars seem to be in great condition, unlike my greasy, old ones. I will come back for you though, I promise? Any wishes before I return my dear maiden?"
"Do NOT call me that. However, I guess I do have one. Say hello to a friend of mine for me. He goes by the name..."
As if an earthquake had suddenly hit the prison, the entire place began to shake. The worm began to become frustrated again, as if to tell Razo it was time to leave.
"Who!?"
"HIS NAME IS LUCIAN! TELL HIM I AM WAITING!"
The worm then erupted down the cell block, flying past several angered prisoners. As Razo and the worm broke through the wall at the end of the block, green light poured down upon them, burning them slightly and causing Razo to close his eyes in discomfort. This happened all too often for his liking.
After about half a minute, the bright light dulled and Razo opened his eyes. He began to speak, but he seemed to not know what to say. His memory appeared to be but gone. All he could remember was his time in the prison and the name of someone. He tried to remember, but upon trying his head began to hurt like no one could imagine. Eventually he gave up, repeating the name over and over again.
"Lucian... Lucian... Lucian..."
He then knew the name of his captive partner. As if it had magically appeared in his empty brain, he knew it.
"Senna... Senna... YES! SENNA! DO NOT WORRY MY FRIEND, LUCIAN WILL KNOW OF YOUR WISH!"
He then began to laugh almost maniacally before turning to his worm.
"We have work to do my friend! I not know where we are now, but it appears we do have a mission. Find this Lucian, tell him of our friend Senna, and then we kill the scumbag who locked us away in such a manner. YES IT IS ALL SO CLEAR NOW!"
Many forms of magic began to spray from Razo, setting his surroundings in an array of colors and distortions.
"DO NOT WORRY! WE WILL FIND YOU LUCIAN AND YOU WILL HEAR OUR CALL! SENNA IS WAITING MY FRIEND! And this scumbag... he will die."
He then leaped onto the worm before riding in the direction of the Institute of War, knowing his only cause in this world, with a bit of insanity here and there.

TIPS
When Playing as Razo
- In the laning phase, it is a great idea to set Glorious Slime Mines where you believe the enemy jungler will gank you from. This will make his approach much less sudden and give you time to react to his appearance.
- Utilizing the Madness on Madness Infliction correctly can severely increase the lifetime and effectiveness of the rest of Razo's abilities, giving his Insanity Wisp increased effectiveness by allowing it to survive longer and have an easier time dealing damage, causing enemies to occasionally walk straight into a Glorious Slime Mine, and give Death Worm a better chance of dealing its initial burst damage.
- Using your Death Worm to finish off fleeing enemies may not be the smartest idea due to its large delay. It is instead better to save it to for when an ally in a different lane needs help from a jungler gank or a skirmish. It can also be used to help yourself during small to large scale fights.
When Playing Against Razo
- Most of Razo's forms of damage are unreliable in the laning phase. Staying behind your minions and safely farming can negate most of his damage since he has very little tools at hand that are unavoidable.
- Look out on the ground for Razo's ultimate, Death Worm. It deals heavy damage both upon appearance and over time so stay away from it if you are low on health.
- Death Worm and Insanity Wisp can be easily taken down by a few abilites and/or a string of basic attacks, especially from a Marksman. Target them if you have the neck room to do so.
- Note that Insanity Wisp only reduces self-healing, meaning that allied heals are still at max strength while you are affected by Insanity Wisp.
INSPIRATION
Razo's madness personality and Glorious Slime Mines was inspired by The King of Masks from Dawngate http://dawngate.gamepedia.com/The_King_of_Masks
The mechanics behind Madness was copied from the old Fear used by Fiddlesticks, Nocturne, Shaco, and Hecarim
The Death Worm was inspired off of the Great Pit of Carkoon from Star Wars VI http://starwars.wikia.com/wiki/Great_Pit_of_Carkoon
Update 1- Less Passive, More Activeness Reworked the secondary part of his passive, modified some numbers on the vision reduction, and made it to where his Madness Infliction passive only becomes active after casting three spells, while slightly buffing it ever so slightly in compensation. Also clarified that allied vision is not removed during his vision reduction part of his passive. Renamed his passive to Spread of Anarchy to better describe what it does now.
