tbh Renekton and Tryndamere's kits (but mainly the animations for their kit) don't really fit berserkers. Renekton seems too clean, and tryndamere seems too precise.

We're currently in the hunt for a better name for the next patch. For the outgoing patch, it will retain its current name Bloodrage, but hopefully we can settle on something we can all agree is better for the next patch.

I'd recommend "Bloodwrath." Like several other people on this thread, I agree that "rage" makes him sound like a berserker, which he is definitely not. Actually, this was is my biggest problem with his rework overall. Wrath however, fits with his identity well. The image of the brilliant fighter, drunk on his own power as he finishes foe after foe that nobody else could is very much aligned with Darius' fantasy. Blood is also a major part of the effect, which is why I dislike many of the other suggestions here that do not include "blood" in their name. Plus, it sounds cool! You can't forget how important that is!

To gain bloodrage,you have to apply 5 bleed stacks or kill somebody with Noxian Guillotine,which spills a lot of blood. Makes sense to me.

For me the buff sounds like getting mad in the midst of batte,basically going batshit insane. "Rage" or "frenzy" looks like the choice of word for that.

Yeah, and that's the problem. Rage doesn't fit Darius personnality or lore. He is brutal, lives in blood and killings, but does NEVER rage. He is calm, deadly, an executor with no feelings such as compassion or rage. He kills for Noxus pride. Darius =/= berserker like olaf/sion

Fair enough,I never read Darius' lore,looks like you're right. I was thinking about in-game,where the "bloodrage" name makes sense purely from the gameplay standpoint. But I can see why "Noxian Might",or something of the sort,would be better now.

I'd prefer something like "Decisive Advance." It's a bit of a mouthful, but whatever name is settled on should be about him seeing an opportunity, a moment of weakness in the enemy team, and exploiting that advantage to its highest extent. It's the precise turn in battle when he sees victory and isn't about to let it go.

He's supposed to be a General after all. It's not enough to say that he's the one to benefit from his passive; the entire team needs to use that momentum.

Darius isn't Vladimir, Olaf, or Tryndamere. He does not delight in others' suffering; he just likes to win and make Noxus strong. rito plz

Seriously though, it makes no sense thematically for it to be called Bloodrage, or even have it at all. It'll make his gameplay cool, but, it doesn't make sense for him to be encouraged by people dying. He doesn't go into a trance or anything in battle; he just keeps hacking his way to victory.

i know this is beside the point, but since when do olaf and tryndamere delight in others suffering? idk if olaf does or not honestly, but as far as i can tell he's just fighting cuz thats what he does. that and because he is trying to die. as for tryndamere, he is fighting to make himself the most powerful person he can be to exact revenge on Aatrox. his fighting is little more than an exercise to him.

I thinks its more that for Olaf, Tryndamere and Aatrox, they only care about fighting, they loose themselve in it, for them, battle is the end goal. Darius battle as a mean to an end. He might get angry, but he never loose sight of why he fight. He doesn't fight just to fight, he does it to win, and blind rage is death on the battlefield of Noxus

As memory serves, the last time Riot reverted a stupid name change, it was... Finales Funkeln. Which was like two and a half years ago (feel free to look that up, it's a guess). And they still only replaced the AWFUL thing they thought of with something that is simply less awful. Still awful, but less so.

As much as I'd like to preserve Darius not being a bloodthirsty killer, I rather like the quality of his new passive icon... and what else can you name it so that it also fits?

Noxian Might feels a bit flat to me... but all the good names are already taken. I think you are mistaking Darius for Swain, Vladimir, and LeBlanc. A Rioter actually said in the Sion Q&A that Darius does not like Sion's fate or what he now is known for. He liked Sion better as the Noxian legend that he was.
