New champion Idea: Basil the strucken sound

Hello everyone and welcome to my champion Idea

Basil's look would be a guy in a GI(the martial art outfit that's white) with a blackbelt. He'd have a nice set of 80's hair and be a cool dude!

Basil is meant to fill the niche of if he's fast enough nobody can hit him because he's just that skilled; proper use of speed would be what makes or breaks a good Basil player.

I feel like his Niche will be one similar to the Yasuo Camille category in which he'll be fun to play with zooming around the map at SONIC SPEED but be unfun to try and catch or give chase to With the difference of he would have very clear weaknesses of long dragged out fights which don't favor him at all.


Stats: Health: 567 + 67 per level (lvl 18 = 1773)

Health regen: 15 + 2 per level (lvl 18 = 51)

No Resource

Attack range: 145 (melee)

Attack Damage: 32 + 9 per level (lvl 18 = 194)

Attack speed: 2 + 0 per level (doesn't improve per level)

Armor: 15 + 1.5 per level (lvl 18 = 42)

magic resist: 14 + 2.5 per level (lvl 18 = 59)

movement speed: 360


Abilities: Speed Unleashed Passive: When Basil attacks an enemy or neutral monster he attacks twice in a row(applies on hit effects) If Basil is slowed the Slow is doubled(max 99% slow) and 50% of the original slow is applied to his attack speed.(Example if he gets slowed for 30% then it's doubled to 60% and 15% of his attack speed is slowed)

Thought process on passive: The passive works in tandem with his base attack speed so attacking twice means you REALLY did four attacks on them and it was really fast. It's a simple but very effective ability. It also doesn't affect wards at all so he's not an anti-ward machine with a sweeper and a control ward.

Blazing path: Q: Basil Runs really fast where your Cursor is for 2+ (0.5 per 25 AD) seconds and deals 40/45/50/55/60 + 40% of Bonus AD physical damage to all units where he passed.

Cooldown(starts when ability is cast): 16/15.5/15/14.5/14 seconds

Speedy Haiku W: First Part: Basil Channels while moving for a maximum of 15 seconds the second part of this ability will activate either after initiated by the player, if Basil takes damage or if Basil finishes the 15 seconds of channeling the second part is cast automatically.

Second part: When Basil is finished channeling all enemies within a 200/220/230/240/250(+50 for every second channeled) unit radius are slowed for 40% and take 10-40 magic damage every time Basil attacks them.

Basil can cast his Q while Channeling Any action besides Q and moving while channeling will cancel W All these effects last for 3/4/5/6/7 seconds

Cooldown: 20 seconds

Punish: E: Basil becomes untargetable (due to speed) for 0.6/0.7/0.8/0.9/1 second(s). If He would have taken damage within the timeframe his next Basic attack deals 50/60/70/80/90 (+80% of AD)

Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6

LAYAWAY BURST: R: Basil's movement speed is increased by 100/200/300 for 30 seconds During this time his attack speed is increased by 30/40/50% of his movement speed.

Cooldown: 90 seconds

Roles: Top/mid/jg Reasons top: he can work as an anti-tank by kiting them to oblivion with his speed. The speed will also make it hard to secure a kill for the majority of toplaners.

Reasons mid: his speed works as a major kiting tool in it's self and his waveclear is pretty fast

Reasons jg: The speed from his passive can help him clear fast which allows for faster ganks in lane which some people won't be used to.

Basil's Favorable Matchups

Tryndamere

earlygame Tryndamere can retaliate with his passive crit being a risky endeavor to trade or to all-in. Tryndamere's W AOE slow would also help in catching that Blur of a man Basil

Pantheon all of his point and click abilities go well in hand with rejecting any trades Basil hopes to make.

Camille her ultimate stops Basil from running away from the fight and her Q deny's basil the chance to trade without straight up going all in. Her E also can stop basil in his tracks from an engagement and the W slow is super useful as well.

Darius His passive favors him when he can hit Basil, His W slow cripples Basil for life. His E when hit will give him a won trade all Basil can do is run in the sourspot of Q and smack Darius a little

That sounds really cool, but ms is beyond broke. Especially that W. Not only can he just with his Q+ Ult be able to catch anyone. He also slows everyone within a 1000 range potentially, that's way over the top. I feel if anything if he is all about turning up the speed he shouldn't need to slow the other team, maybe making his own teammates faster. Maybe leeching speed 40% at the start that diminishes over time, since it hits everyone within range.

But yeah that's interesting, coupled with a Kled top, no one would ever get away.

No champ exceeds 150 AD at level 18 (not sure what Yorick actually gets to, but he is highest). Having 2.0 attack speed plus double strike so 4.0 attack speed at level 1 is just asking to murder people. You need to start smite, get a jungle item, kill red buff, and run back to lane with fervor to get a unbelievably free first blood. Literally 0 counterplay, even if you're not the actual jungle. Plus, that 4.0 attack speed doesn't stop him from building his own AD and just wiping out everyone. It's like giving someone Jayce attack speed plus Luc passive and then saying its all free. Everything else... Eh. It's not gonna be fun for anyone playing against him anyway, so what the hell.

Oh, oh. How does he get attack speed from his ult with his attack speed being fixed at 2.0?

You mentioned long fights being his downfall... Literally a single item solves all of that: item 3074
