LORE:

"The Mists have been denied this night. We still hunger for souls and are not yet sated. The Dead will have their due and Nagakaborous will join the Dead." A quote reported to have been said by Reman, according to a 'traumatized dock worker.'

The Reborn Order tells tales of various victims of Thresh, the Chain Warden himself. One tale tells of a man named, Reman. Reman was once a naturally gifted user of magic who honed his skills to be a greatly skilled healer in the Blessed Isles, until the Ruined King wrought his spell of undeath upon the land. That day Thresh collected many souls with the intent to satisfy his sadistic cravings, but Reman was released back into the Shadow Isles. It is unknown if this soul who was tormented by Thresh for years escaped the lantern or was simply released. It matters not, as, upon his release, he became the Tormented Soul. A vessel that lacked any identity, consumed fully by the mists. A puppet. Reman has been seen various times, but noone has ever engaged in combat with the spectre as he simply puffs into the Black Mist as if he were made of the evil creation.

Only recently has Reman been unleashed to kill any who venture into the mists. Wherever he walks, the Mist seems to follow. Past reports, dismissed as paranoid delusions, now seem to have merit. Reports of Black Mists on the mainland during times where the Harrowing was months away now, I believe, can be traced to this mysterious figure named Reman. With Nagakaborous directly intervening this Harrowing, the Black Mist has been denied its due of souls and still hungers. It is my belief that Reman is a vehicle that brings the Black Mists anywhere it goes, not in the scale of a harrowing, but enough to swallow a small village. If allowed to roam unchecked, the Harrowing may become a more fearsome event in the near future. So now I request permission from the Reborn Order to hunt down Reman, the Tormented Soul.

In terms of appearance: imagine a ghoul on all fours, while wearing a robe that makes it unable to see his face.

Reman, the Tormented Soul, is a Melee Hybrid Assassin who is a vessel for the Black Mists of the Shadow Isles. Reman utilizes the Mists for his abilities (though lore wise the Mists utilize Reman but hey). Please bear in mind that numbers (and hybrid champion sets) are FAR from my field and that ALL feedback is greatly appreciated.

Passive: Will of the Mist

Reman is a soul that discharges the Black Mist around him in a certain radius(250 units). Depending on his abilities, the Mist will react differently. If an enemy is caught in the Black Mist, they are slowed(15%) and are marked by the Mist for 3 seconds. The Mist pools around him slowly and will appear to be a trail if he continuously moves without stopping. The Black Mist dissapates within .5 seconds when not near Reman.

Q: Death's Hand

For 5 seconds, Reman's attacks are augmented with speed(+25%), power(AP/AD), and slow (15% for .5 seconds and stacks with Mist's slow). Each attack will also deal bonus damage to marked enemy targets.

W: Tendrils of Darkness

At the activation of Tendrils of Darkness, the Black Mists pooled around him will spear out into a targeted direction. Anything hit by Tendrils of Darkness will be marked, slowed, and recieve a damage over time effect for 1.5 seconds (scales to AP). The Black Mist will remain for a short amount of time.

**E: Soul Rend **

Reman dashes out in a targeted direction, causing him to lash out and damage three enemies around his new position (Prioritizes Champions and Large Monsters). Enemies that are marked will take additional damage(scales with AP). If an enemy/large monster is killed by Soul Rend and is Marked, Reman gains +2 bonus AP/AD (champions give +10 AP/AD).

R: Harrowing Call

Reman howls loudly, causing the Black Mist to be extruded more rapidly and farther away (850 units for 5 seconds). Any enemy caught in the Black Mists during the Harrowing Call will be massively slowed, marked, and have souls emerge from the mists to run through and damage enemies. After the initial howl, Reman can move freely.

Early Game- LANE

Reman, being a melee assassin with one high-cost ranged ability, has a significanly weak early game laning phase. It is reccommended to start with Tendrils of Darkness to be able to apply a decent early game poke while being able to farm from a distance or with Death's Hand to apply some significant damage to a target assuming you can get close enough. During this time, farm as securely as you can until you reach lvl 2 or 3 when a jungler can aid you. Death's Hand + Soul Rend will ensure enough time for the Black Mist to pool and apply its own slow to the nearby enemy(assuming he doesn't dash/flash away), while the jungler gets into position to assist. It is important to note that Death's Hand will apply to the three targets hit by Soul Rend, which leads to a decent lockdown against many opponents. For obvious reasons: unless you are ahead or are just plain gutsy, do NOT attempt this to early trade unless you want to test Reman's health and damage.

Remember to use Tendrils of Darkness wisely. While you can use Tendrils of Darkness early game to try harassing with the DoT, the amount of mana needed to continuously apply it is not at all worth it. Use it simply as a tool to sparingly farm minions from a distance, to harass, or as a quick initiation or catch up tool. In terms of using this ability, it is reccommended to combo it with a Q+E then use Tendrils of Darkness when they attempt to flee. After slowing the enemy by using Q + E, walk to cut the target off so that the mist you generate will slow the target. If the enemy manages to get away before the Mist can coalesce, then use Tendrils to apply the slow on the now fleeing walker.

EG- JUNGLE

Reman, thanks to his E, will provide a much needed reward for that passive of his, but it's best to avoid that level 1 and go for Q for...obvious reasons. May need to change that slightly, ANYWAYS. Clear should't be to difficult as you have an active augment ability and a semi AoE that can be used in conjunction with it. One you hit 3 and up, it should be simple to land early ganks against most enemies. Run in and cut off the way to their turret thanks to the Mist, then QE in blah blah W blah blah. I think we all get it.

Mid Game

This is where, with some items and kills hopefully, Reman truly appears as a frightening prospect. A strong duelist that has the ability to reliably dip out at the first sign of, "Nah bro, I don't want any of that." While allowing the Mists to pool in one area is quick, it is also inefficient. Moving around frequently will allow a wider range of Mist trails that can be used to immobilize/slow any who believe ganking you would be simple. In fact, by utilizing his combo and wide Mist trails one can give the appearance of walking away which would force both parties to come closer to you. As the jungler is most likely the closest target, ensure that the main opponent has managed to be marked so you can roll back, double apply DoT via W, remove the jungler (depending on your strength and on the strength of the jungler/laner), then put on sunglasses as the enemy laner backs away when he realizes that he got played.

In all seriousness however, Reman's success in limited in lane. Once strong enough, make your way to other lanes to get behind the target(s), Q+E in on the main target(s) to land that slow and then demolish them. If the target(s) attempt to dash/flash away and aren't close enough to salvation by turret, then slam that W button to stop/slow them in their tracks to end their final struggles more quickly.

End Game/Teamfights

This is where if you did not manage to get the snowball kills early-mid, you will not be pleased like most assassins. Ignoring the scenario that that happened, be sure to position yourself close enough to enter the fights but far enough that the enemy can't chain lock and prioritize you first. Once in, Q+E onto a main target then press R to apply Harrowing Call to vastly expand your Mist's spawn range and increase the rate it spawns around. As an assassin I need not remind anyone that the priority is the enemy high damage dealers in the back lines.

Once most targets are marked, slam that E (which should be up again) to smack down the next priority target or dip out and reposition yourself.. Remember that while having the Mists be pooled around you is nice and all, it may be better to go ahead and place the mists in the path of the escape route so that if they were to flee then it'd either be a slow or a slower round about path home.

While being in the midst of a battle to get the most use out of that Harrowing Call is important, it's even more vital to cut the enemy off before they realize that it's all going south for them (or for you , in which case you have a slowing trail following you that allows you to escape them). Stay in the middle only after dealing eveything to the primary target and removing him, after that, contribute from the edges. Hitting the most isolated, most vulnerable of the targets. Don't run headfirst into your death by jumping in the middle of three juggernauts.

Aside from the lore and Black Mist visuals, I really don't see what your champion is about.

What makes Reman a character one would play?

One of the issues I have is that his abilities that involve damaging a marked enemy for bonus effects are all close range, meaning they'll always be marked and receive the bonus effect anyways.

This is one of the most badass creations I have seen in a long while. Bump.
