What About Adding Achievement Hunting to the Game to Give Us Something Extra to Strive For?
One big problem LoL has is that every game is basically a restart of the same map, which can get repetitive from time to time.
Of course there is the competitive aspect of contantly improving and getting better at the game and yes, the ranked ladder exists but achievements would give us something extra to strive for.
There could be generic achievements from killing your first enemy player or reaching level 30 up to getting really long winstreaks or several pentakills in a row. But what I would find even more exciting are champion-specific achievements.
Mastery level is okay when it comes to motivating you to continously play a champion but you can't really be too proud of it because it is not really a representation of your skill but rather just an indicator of how much games you've played with that specific champion.
Imagine being a LeBlanc main for example, blowing up someone in less than a second and then have a big announcement of you reaching that achievement for every other player in that game, while on top of that having it on your profile page at the front with your mastery level indicator. You actually have something to show off with since you have the proof of it and you still have a lot of achievements to hunt, like having someone waste his ultimate on your clone or anything awesome that is LeBlanc related.
This could also apply to literally every other champion. Getting pentakills on Katarina in inhumanly short amounts of time, hitting a high percentage of your Karthus Qs or getting a pentakill finish with his ult, chaining your cc on Nautilus perfectly . . . the possibilities are endless.
