Simply put, why did the skins team or ChampUp go with the change from the almost iconic candy cane guns to the genetic looking red ones she now has? This isn't an improvement, by any stretch of the imagination and removed a very unique look.
In short, this change makes her less awesome than before.

Candy Cane Miss Fortune is a special snowflake among Miss Fortune skins. When we decided to take the opportunity to do a pass on all of Miss Fortune's skins, we saw an opportunity to add cohesion between her 45 skins. We did add some textures in her upper torso that you should notice more than the altered weapons.
We also decided to make the changes long past the opportunity to get a refund if you didn't like what we did.
