What if we had a support who got stronger as they died?

Before I start i would just like to say that I don't have a full champ idea just an idea for a passive.

So i was thinking and i realized that most supports (if they are doing their job) die a lot, so what if a (support) champ had a passive that benefited from this "problem." Basically the idea is that upon death, you would gain one stack. I came up with 2 ideas for what these stacks could do:

  1. On a heal-based champ (thinkSoraka ) 1 stack would increase the effect of heals on allied champs
  2. On a tank champ (think Braum ), 1 stack would increase armor and/or magic resistance

Benefits are: you get better at supporting your adc so they are strong enough that you don't die as much IF you are doing good (a lot of kills and few deaths) this passive wouldn't help a lot, but if you are doing bad, it helps you not fall behind to the point of being useless.

This idea isn't perfect (no idea is) so please help me fix it to the best it can be! Any problems or changes are welcome in the comments.

Might be abused by trolls.

"Dude, [champion]! Why do you keep going in 1v5?"

  • "I need more stacks! "It's not worth it!"
  • "YES IT IS I WANT MORE STACKS SO I CAN BE A BETTER SUPPORT!!!!!!"

If a support is doing their job WELL, they will have few deaths and their ADC will have even fewer).

On-death passives are already bad, since the entire point is to NOT die (whenever possible).

Uhhhhhhhh......

Maybe a passive based on their KDA, if they have a highly positive one they gain additional effects from their abilities, but if they have a low one (dying way too much) it grants damage resistance?

I could see this being something interesting, but on death things are temporary and shouldn't affect the rest of the game based on a champion's stats.

For there to be some form of benefit from a bad performance, there would need to be an overwhelmingly better benefit to a stellar performance to prevent feeding to win, or feeding to troll your team.

Anyway that's my view on this, the idea isn't really bad... its just not something that would benefit league without some major thought put in.
