http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/3/38/Noxus_Crest_icon.png/revision/latest?cb=20150811144613&path-prefix=cs Soot is an AD Juggernaut who's basic attacks cripple the front line before he carves his path towards the enemy carries. Incredibly hard hitting yet very immobile, Soot is someone you don't want anyone on your team to be standing beside since he not only shreds his basic attack target, but everyone else in their general direction. He is truly a force of nature.

LORE http://vignette4.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/1/11/Noxus.jpg/revision/latest?cb=20100917002524 Noxus, a city of strength, honor, deceit, war... and betrayal. Soot was born into a middle class family of Noxus near the border. After a Noxian army ravaged the plains of Demacia, Demacia struck back with enormous force. It seemed that King Jarvan had finally had enough. Noxus called upon it's citizens to rally an army together and fight back against the Demacian scourges. After rallying a decently sized army within the capital, it became apparent that more than just the citizens housed within the capital of Noxus would be needed to fight back against the well trained, dauntless army of Demacia. Grand General Jericho Swain called upon citizens from all corners of Noxus to fight back. Unfortunately for him, most citizens that lived away from the capital lived there for a reason. Often descendants of refugees from long ago who returned to their home after the barbarian king Mordekaiser slaughtered their villages and forced them to flee, these people did not want to fight, but wanted to keep the home their family had grasped onto for so long. However, Swain was not taking no for an answer. When the Noxian military came for Soot's family, he was only just old enough to wield a sword. His father, brothers, sisters, and even his mother was taken from him. Even he himself was dragged, kicking and screaming, from his once peaceful home. Another age of war was beginning in Noxus and Soot's family was being forced into it. After being thrown into the back of a carriage, chained to the rest of the "soldiers of Noxus", he sat for fourteen days as more and more were thrown into the carriage with him. His family had been thrown into another carriage, leaving him all alone.

The winters of Noxus were harsh. While many think of the heat of hatred when it came to Noxus, all that the citizens near the border felt in the winter was the heart-piercing touch of blood-soaked snow. Soot could feel that. His heart was frozen from the bloody snow surrounding it. As he looked around, all he saw was the faces of the damned. These people had been thrown into a war that wasn't theirs. Their family lines had had enough torture when Mordekaiser ravaged these lands, yet now it seemed a new evil had risen to power. It seemed the lands of Noxus had went from one metal to the next. From the corrupting, enslaving metal of torture of Mordekaiser, to the heated, bloody steel of war of Jericho. Soot awaited death as the carriage finally reached it's destination: the very center of Noxus.

Soot was thrown into a training camp within the capital of Noxus. There, he came face to face with the Hand of Noxus himself, Darius. Demacia was on it's way to Noxus and they had only a month to train these new recruits. Darius was put in charge of doing so, honored to be able to train the next generation of Noxian strength. When Soot was put in front of Darius, the Hand of Noxus saw deep into the soul of Soot. He saw anger, sadness, and most of all, determination. In front of the entire crowd of new recruits, Darius announced that he would be taking on Soot as his personal apprentice. Shocked, Soot was not sure what to think. Why had Darius chosen him of all people? The next day, Soot reported to Darius at a time only barely past midnight. There, Soot was told the truth of Noxus.

"What do you think of when you hear the word Noxus, Soot?" Darius and Soot sat in the middle of the south eastern barracks near a warming fire. The fire only barely lit the room, but was plenty warm. "Do you want my real answer or the one Swain wishes to hear?" Darius chuckled before slamming his axe into the ground, shattering the stone floor. "Honesty is not forbidden in Noxus, Soot." Startled and frightened by the sudden act of strength, he gulped before giving his real answer. "I think of a war machine. However, not a war machine powered by the might and strength of it's people, but by the stolen strength of others. Noxus has slowly turned into an engine that burns itself. It isn't a place that anyone should want to live, but... it's also my home. After Mordekaiser fell from power, we returned and lived a happy life. Until now, that is." Darius did not look at Soot as he replied, instead looking deep into the fire. "Your people suffer. That is true. However, you must learn one thing Soot." Darius paused before looking at Soot with a glare that could split a mountain. "Peace cannot be held without someone there to fight for it." Instantly, Darius' reply drilled into Soot's mind. Peace could not be held without someone there to fight for it?

His training with Darius gave Soot strength unparalleled among the recruits. His weapon of choice was a greatsword, but he was later introduced to something much more powerful. A Rune Sword. A weapon only given to the most powerful of Noxian soldiers, it was something that only those strong enough to carry all of Noxus on their back were able to carry. The weapon not only tested the person's strength, but also their will. Rune Swords were enchanted with magic originating among Noxian sorcerers, meaning it was natural for the weapons to have a high chance of being what some would call cursed. Noxian sorcerers often withheld their rank among society through behind the scenes assassinations and trickery, causing them to only be able to be controlled by the Grand General, who even the sorcerers themselves feared. The Rune Blade that Soot held was not enchanted with any elemental magic, but was instead enchanted with the most deadly of physical enhancement magic. With his first swing, Soot destroyed one of the steel training dummies and then sent a shockwave through the air in the direction of his swing that dented distant training dummies and completely obliterated the closer ones. Darius knew he had made the right decision when he chose Soot as his apprentice. Soot's mind had changed in his time with Darius. He no longer saw Noxus as a war machine, but as the shield that protected those who carved their own path. However, he hadn't changed his mind about who held the shield. Swain, no matter what propaganda the other generals tried to force into Soot's mind, had to be killed. The horns boomed through the capital of Noxus. They were the horns of war. Training was over. It was time to fight for the peace the citizens of Noxus had fought so hard to maintain. For most, that meant killing the enemies of Noxus. For Soot, that meant killing the real enemies of Noxus. The ones that had plagued it for so long.

http://vignette1.wikia.nocookie.net/leagueoflegends/images/a/a1/KatarinaAndTalon.jpg/revision/latest/scale-to-width-down/250?cb=20120523052550 Katarina and Talon watched as Swain spoke to the citizens of Noxus before the war began. Soot stood on stage behind his master who stood beside Swain in case of any attempts of assassination. Swain knew that Darius meant well, but he did not need such protection. "Today, the enemies of Noxus will fall. Those who wish to take what is ours will die a horrible death. Sons and daughters of Noxus, it is time to rip the meat from our enemy's very bones!" The crowd cheered, but Soot, Darius, Katarina, and Talon sat silently. As the rallying ended, Katarina and Talon approached Soot. Only a sentence was exchanged between them, being spoke by Talon. "Do not trust the demon, swordsman." Soot did not even flinch at the comment. He knew all too well what Jericho was.

The war began and Noxus held a firm footing against Demacia. However, the casualties were too many to count. Soot was not among them however. The soldiers of Demacia were split in half by a single swing of his blade. While most of the time strategy could overcome pure power, that didn't seem to be the case when fighting Soot. They all fell to his blade. Weeks passed and Soot was finally sent to a warband that held a member of his family. His father was among them and he wanted to know what had become of the rest of his family. When he arrived, however, he only found the head of his father. Demacia had overcome the warband before Soot could ever had hoped to arrive. Hiding behind a hill just big enough to hide his presence, he watched was his father was executed through decapitation. His head was tossed aside, landing not too far away from Soot. Anger swelled in Soot when he felt a hand upon his shoulder. Despair crept through him as he turned to face this potential threat.

"Stay out of my way, boy." Jericho Swain, the Grand General of Noxus, moved past Soot towards the large army of Demacian soldiers. Soot's rage swelled through him, but his swing was stopped by a hand stronger than even his. Darius stood behind him, holding Soot back from the actions he knew the boy wished to perform upon Swain. The Grand General's skin turned to feathers as he approached the Demacian soldiers charging at him. He revealed his true form to his enemies as ravens fell upon the soldiers, plucking their eyes from their sockets and pecking into the lungs of the soldiers before returning the meat to Swain. "Let me go!" Soot tried to shake free from Darius. A raven flew towards the head of his father and ate one of the head's eyeballs. It was too much for Soot. He tossed Darius aside before charging at Swain. However, dark magic simply tossed Soot aside, flinging him a long distance into a nearby river. Soot's sword flew through the air and pierced through his right arm, rendering him unable to swim. Unable to swim, Soot sunk to the bottom of the river. Was this the end of his life? He began to shut his eyes when a large shadow with yellow glowing eyes appeared above him. Suddenly able to breath, Soot opened his eyes wide and looked around himself. He was still underwater. How was this possible? "I do believe I have not yet introduced myself. I am the River King and it seems you are in a bit of a predicament my boy." Soot turned to face the large, catfish-like creature before him. "What is going...," Soot said before falling to the ground. His sword was still wedged into his right arm and blood was still flowing out into the water around him. "It seems you are on a tight schedule, so I will be quick. I can save you. I can free you from this river, heal your arm, and get that mighty fine sword out of your arm. All you need to do is a small favor for me. What do you say?" Soot, running out of options and on the brink of death, shook his head to respond with a yes. With one quick motion, the catfish creature put Soot into his mouth and began to swim down the river, away from the battle that was happening above the surface of the water. A moment later, Darius dove into the water after Soot. However, he didn't see a body or blade. Only blood. Enraged, he swam back to the surface of the water. He looked back to Swain, who was now resting on a pile of corpses. "What did you do to him Swain?" With an all too terrifying glare, Swain looked to Darius. "I tossed him aside. It seems you did not train your apprentice well enough to see friend from foe, Darius."

At that moment, a deal was struck. Tahm Kench, the demon of the many rivers across Runeterra, had cursed Soot. The price was all too much, even to save Soot's life. The price was torture. Soot was to torture victims of Runeterra into depression, making them vulnerable prey for Tahm Kench. If Soot did not follow orders, he would be sent back to the bottom of the river, but this time with the rest of his remaining family. Not only this, but Soot's duties to Tahm Kench forced him to abandon the army of Noxus. Word of his survival began to spread as he made appearances all across Runeterra with his new, demonic blade. His Rune Blade was like a tracker upon him for Noxian Sorcerers. Tahm Kench knew this and did something truly empowering to the blade. He gave away a small portion of his power to empower Soot's blade, removing any magical scent that could be tracked while multiplying the previous physical enhancement magic on the blade by unthinkable amounts. Soot's sword was so powerful now that even unsheathing the blade sent chills down anyone within miles of him, even if they did not know he was there. Years passed and Soot continued his service to Tahm Kench. The demon was always behind him, watching him to make sure he never faltered in his duties. However, with each person he was forced to torture, his reputation grew. Noxus put a bounty on his head due to him abandoning the war effort while Demacia put a bounty on his head for his crimes during the war. Both sides wanted him dead and a demon had enslaved him, forcing him to perform acts of cruelty that began to match even Swain. In the eyes of Darius, Soot was not his apprentice anymore. He was a shadow of his former self. However, deep inside, Darius knew that this wasn't Soot's fault. He had been doomed down this path ever since he was taken from his home. The thought made him sick to his stomach and made him hate himself for thinking such thoughts, but he could deny the truth of it. Today, Soot continues his service to Tahm Kench still. During his time with his new master, he has become aware of much more powerful forces across Runeterra. Celestials that govern the world like gods and powerful mages that control the people of Runeterra like puppets. All of this conflict, yet still no peace. Had Darius' words been false? Is peace impossible to fight for? Opening his eyes to the light of morning, Soot knew what he must do. He began down his own path, ignoring Tahm Kench's orders. Knowing his family was in danger, Soot began his journey to find the one celestial being had learned of that could save his family: Bard. He headed to Ionia towards the Bard Mountains. However, Noxus had been invading Ionia for a long time and there is no doubt he was being followed already by Demacian scouts, Noxian assassins, and the great demon himself, Tahm Kench. He was heading straight into the heart of Noxian conflict. He knew this however. He knew what he had to do. If the world could not fight for peace, then it was up to Soot to achieve what the rest of the world could not.

Setting his feet down upon the sand, Soot stepped into Ionia. The haunting yellow eyes of the demon followed him everywhere and he knew he was not the only stowaway on the ship he had just taken to Ionia. However, time was not on his side and he knew he family was in danger. He could feel the demon close in on them. They were not beside him, but he knew they were alive. Tahm Kench needed that bargaining chip to get Soot to come back. However, Soot did not want to come back, even if the demon told him his family was alive. He had to forge a new world where peace could be held. The only hope he had was the celestial he was marching towards. Hopefully, once he arrived at the mountain, he could finally rest from fighting and forget the screams of the many people he was forced to torture. The clouds began to thunder and rain as Soot entered Ionia. For many, this would be bad, but for Soot, it was welcomed. Perhaps this was a sign that the blood that stained his blade and clothing could finally be washed off. Perhaps his frozen heart could finally be thawed. He would reach Bard Mountain, even if that meant fighting his old friends along the borders of Noxus. Nothing would stop him from obtaining his peace.

Ability 1- Demonic Strike/Toss Aside Active: Soot's next basic attack will not cleave, but will deal 80/100/120/140/160% of his attack damage as bonus physical damage to his target and briefly stun them for 0.625 seconds. Enemy minions and monsters near his target will take half of the damage and be feared for 3 seconds if they are still alive. If this basic attack is a Demonic Strike, the target will be knocked into the air for 1 second. Active- Strength of Noxus: Soot crushes the throat of his victim, dealing 75/110/145/180/215 (+100/105/110/115/120% AD) physical damage, applying Grievous Wounds to his target for 5 seconds, and slowing them by 75% for 1.25 seconds. Using this ability causes Soot to drop them as well, freeing them from the suspension. Cost: 60 mana Cool Down: 18/17/16/15/14 seconds

Ultimate- Determined Rage Passive: Soot's basic attacks ignore 10/17.5/25% of his enemies' bonus armor.
