Just an idea. Sometimes seeing isn't enough. Sometimes people like to try things out before they buy it. For a week, if you own a champion, one of the skins are free to try out that week. Then if someone likes they buy it.

That would be too much programming for riot. Making one skin for each champion in the free rotation free for the week would be nice so if a champion you own is free you could see a skin for them you don't have so you can save up for it or make a decision to get it. my idea.

If I'm not mistaken, there are 3rd party mods that let you use crazy skins...but it's only a client side change so you see it while everyone else does not (as they are seeing what the server shows). Riot would just have your client load a different skin than what the server was sending to everyone else.
