I'm gonna be very straightforward here. The VU in itself is not bad, but please, oh, please, Riot, if you're really intending on proceding with the upgrade the way it is right now (which I seriously hope you don't as it's too minimalistic), please also upgrade her splash art, because it's currently inconsistent (not just for classic).

I'd rather have them make the visual upgrade fit the splash arts, but as I said, if the current state is the direction they're going then they need to make both match, otherwise it's inconsistent, affects game clarity and would also be a problem for new people who buy a skin thinking it will be different (same problem with all of Trundle skins).
