Gameplay Summary Classification: Artillery Mage / Disruptor (though Unique Playstyle may be equally fitting) Zezaleya, the Winter Wyvern, is an old school immobile mage that provides modern levels of gameplay depth based on when and how abilities are used. Her kit is fluid, functional, and has high levels of mastery and decision-making, without being “I can do everything” Azir problematic, or “I puke all my spells” Annie simplistic.

Passive - Snowstorm Shimmer: Like invisibility, but people can see you. Bypassed by proximity to enemy champions. Q – Tundra Turbine: Morgana Snare Lite, less CC, less damage, higher CD, but the spell is recastable after successful snares. W – Wyvern Whirlwind: Togglable damage aura on self. Also affects the last place your Q hit. E – Frail Foes: Autoattack reset that reduces the target’s resistances and reduce your cooldowns on champ hit/target kill. R – Banshee Screech: Big roar, many damage. Wide AoE that amplifies Frail Foes and inflicts a silence that first lets 1 spell through.

The dragon blooded Sorceress has two separate gameplay patterns. Turbines and Whirlwinds serve as siege and poke tools, and the groundwork for her default battle pattern. Her maximal damage comes from diving close enough to deliver a singular kiss of death to her Frail Foes before retreating back into her long-range pattern (or or peeling a diving enemy then grabbing some distance). Easier said than done, with no mobility or defensive steroids, but well worth the effort.

Ability Kit

http://i.imgur.com/JkwoWXC.jpg Passive - Snowstorm Shimmer

Zezaleya blends into the winter wind, rendering herself Shimmering to all enemy champions. Whenever an enemy champion is within 400 units of Zezaleya for 0.5 seconds, Zezaleya is no longer Shimmering to that champion. Zezaleya resumes Shimmering against all enemy champions after not being within 400 units of or in combat with enemy champions for a static 19.5-11 seconds (scaling on level).

Shimmering: As stealth, but always flickering/outlined and thusly visible, merely unclickable (health bar will also show). True Sight will render Zezaleya clickable despite Shimmering, but only if it would also render a stealthed unit clickable.

http://i.imgur.com/EENzaQ5.jpg Q - Tundra Turbine (Not a literal mechanical turbine, limited in pictures, but more of a summoned storm.)

Cast a linear projectile skillshot that deals magic damage and inflicts a root. If the skillshot did not travel a full 1000 units, it leaves behind a Turbine lasting 3 seconds. The Turbine can be consumed by recasting the ability, launching the skillshot from that location instead of her character model (no enemy can be hit more than once). The ability starts cool down on first cast, but cannot be recast normally until the ability is out of recasts (either by timing out, running out of recasts, or missing a skillshot).

Cooldown: 13 Seconds Root Duration: 1.375/1.5/1.625/1.75/1.875 Recasts Available: 2/2/3/3/4 Mana Cost: 50/55/60/65/70 Recast Mana Cost: 22/19/16/13/10 Projectile Speed: 1500 Travel Range per cast: 1000 Units Damage: 70/110/150/190/230+80% AP Turbine Vision Granted: 325 Units in all directions

http://i.imgur.com/dLgLLbD.jpg W - Wyvern’s Whirlwind

Creates a whirlwind around Zezaleya and her active Turbine, dealing magic damage to all enemies within. Enemies within both areas take 120%/127.5%/135%/142.5%/150% damage. The Whirlwind remains at the last location of the Turbine if the Turbine times out until the ability is toggled off, but not if Tundra Turbine is recast.

Cooldown (Toggle ability): 1 second Mana Cost per Tick: 2,+1 per third tick (2-2-3-3-3-4-4-4-5-5-5-6 etc) Ticks per second: 4 Damage per Tick: 7/10/13/16/19+6.25% AP Damage per second: 28/40/52/64/76+25% AP Radius Around Self and Q: 325 Units

http://i.imgur.com/attv61K.jpg E - Frail Foes

Zezaleya’s autoattack timer is reset and her next Autoattack inflicts Brittle Bones. Brittle Bones reduces the target’s resistances by a flat amount, and lasts until the victim hasn’t taken damage from Zezaleya for 3 seconds. Hitting an enemy champion or killing a unit with Frail Foes reduces the cooldown of all your abilities by a flat amount. Killing a unit refunds the Mana Cost.

Cooldown: 6/5.5/5/4.5/4 Cooldown Reduction: 0.35/0.45/0.55/0.65/0.75 Mana Cost: 30 Brittle Bones AR/MR Reduction: 4/6/8/10/12+4 per 100% AP

http://i.imgur.com/rBIYsKc.jpg R - Banshee Screech

Zezaleya lets out a primal roar, inflicting Magic Damage and Brittle Sound on all enemies in a cone (imagine Cassopeia R).

Brittle Sound: The first time an enemy inflicted with Brittle Sound successfully casts an ability or uses an item active, they are Silenced for 1.5 seconds. An enemy with the Brittle Sound debuff has its resistances significantly reduced whenever afflicted with Brittle Bones.

Cooldown: 125/95/65 Mana Cost: 100 Banshee Screech Magic Damage: 130/190/250+100% AP Banshee Screech Explosion Radius: 825 Brittle Sound Duration: 6 seconds Brittle Sound Resistance Debuff: 6%/9%/12%+6%/7%/8% per 100 AP (Both Armor and Magic Resist, only while Brittle Bones is actively reducing the stats.)

Solid Item Choices Boots: Sorc Boots, Ionian Boots Mana: RoA, if necessary. Redemption, if you’re on the Redemption OP Hype Train. AP+Defense+CDR: Abyssal, Zhoynas Raw Damage: Liandries, Void Staff Stayin’ Alive: Solari Locket, Zzrot Portal 40 minutes and 5k gold: Deathcap (Maybe)

Lore

Zezaleya’s Lore

There once lived a family on the tippy top of the highest mountain of Freljord. It was no Mt. Targon, but the Wyverns were proud to make it their home. There was a dragon mother, in all her fiery cyan brilliance. There was a human father, with strength to challenge the Viking legends themselves. Finally, a half dragon child who was starry eyed and curious about everything and everyone. Living life in relative solitude and causing terror in the local tribes whenever momma drake foraged.

Father and daughter were left alone together many times, and most often it was peaceful. Other times… the daughter wished to explore the outside world, and the father was prone to drunkenness during their arguments. If she intended to venture all alone into the outside world… she’d have to prove she was strong enough.

She studied on her own, of course. Learned all about Demacia, Noxus, all their wars. Saw all the sights through the stolen tomes of the townspeople. She could even spot the tip of Mt. Targon when taking flights along her mother’s back across the icy wastes.

Seasons changed, and eventually came the night of Zezaleya’s adulthood-coming rites. Mother dearest was out late preparing a special trial, to teach Zezaleya to unleash her draconic heritage. In the mean time, they partook in the feast of the previous hunt. Now that she was fourteen, and clearly a grown-up, Zezaleya could partake heartily in the drink with her father and much jubilation was had.

They talked of all the people of the Freljord, and the political stance their family had with the tribes. They talked of the outside world, the forays the three had done across the Freljord together. Again, Zezaleya longed for the outside. Again, her father forbade it. Drunken arguments turned into drunken beatings. Her fear led to anger. Anger led to hate.

Her mother came back to a frostbitten, gore decorated home. Zezaleya hadn’t tried to hide anything. Even when they were face to face, Zezaleya would offer no apology, no morsel of regret, no explanation why. Words were said that could never be taken back, many more never said at all. They parted ways, never to speak again.

“Nothing good can ever come from a child sired between a dragon and a human. Such a union spawns a cursed beast indeed.”

Ironically, it was Zezaleya who stayed cloistered within their mountaintop abode, for all her talk of traveling the world. Something about the incident… soured the idea. Her mother left the northern wastes entirely, far too many ruined memories to bear in what was once home sweet home.

While traveling the world had lost luster, traveling the Freljord had become a hobby. Zezaleya was in a secure spot to spot mother drake returning after so many moons. Bleeding and fleeing like mere prey, hounded after by a pack of Demacian Dogs. These weren’t just any Demacian dogs, these were lead by Prince Jarvan himself. Even more interesting, accompanying them was…

A half-dragon. Shyvanna, they called her. It was the first time Zezaleya had ever seen another of her kind. While in the act of ripping her mother’s heart out.

Before they had another chance to talk. Before… well. It didn’t matter now.

Zezaleya wore a rueful smile, and went home to pack her things as the prince packed up dragon trophies. This isn’t how Zezaleya imagined leaving the nest, on a quest to reclaim the trophy she called her mother’s skull. Life rarely has the decency to be predictable, though, and Zezaleya’s long since learned to roll with the punches.

Age/Timeline Notes Shyvana comes from a more modern notation of childhood, where culture dictates that to be up to age 18 (I perceive this is the case for Shyvana, at least, having lived farther south). However, Zezaleya comes from the Freljord, where ancient Viking standards apply, and adulthood is more a matter of being about age 14. Meaning the mother left the wastes and started terrorizing shyvana at age 8-9 ish when Zezaleya turned 14. So she’s definitely older, but it’s not a literal generational gap.

Story Continuations Potential ways to direct her story involve confrontations with Shyvana (obviously), but also her reactions to the different cultures on her travels, as well as no longer being at the top of the food chain. The method upon which she sets out on her goals is another metric. Sneaking into the palace to steal her mother’s remains, joining up with Noxus to fight Demacia head to head for a chance at Shyvana’s throat, or J4 himself. Stalking and ambushing Shyvana to ask why.

Whether Shyvana and Zezaleya mutually choose to forgive and forget, or become hate fueled rivals is up in the air, but a story within the second arc is well suited to the way lore is laid out for league.

BowietheNifty here to drop a review. Totally not for the friendly neighborhood bonus or anything. Though anyways I checked this concept last night but didn't have the mindset to provide feedback. Now that it is a new day I figured that I would. So in this case I am actually going to be tackling the lore as well. Most of the time I go over just the abilities, but I feel like I need to expand a bit more. Luckily this is be my first time going over lore for one of these reviews.

Lore The lore gives us a little bit of background on Zezaleya here. Having a Freljordian dragon champion would be rather nice to have within the league. Then again I guess I have an affinity for ice based concepts. Basically from what I get from the lore is that she was a sheltered child who wished to seek the outside world. She had a sense of curiosity that couldn't be satiated from staying on the mountain. Her human father was against it, I am a bit unsure of what side her mother was on. In fact I don't really feel like the mother didn't really play that big of a role from what I read. My opinion of course. Though seeing as how she did have an abusive father figure and a mother that wasn't really there, I can see how bitter it would make the half-dragon. Though the whole tie in with Demacia and Shyvana, it feels a bit forced. All because a champion does share a theme with another, doesn't mean that they have to have lore tied in with one another. Take Ivern and Maokai for example, both are treants yet their lore isn't intertwined. Not to say that her lore is bad, just the final part is a bit iffy in my opinion.

Abilities Innate Passive Alright so I do like stealth like passives. While this passive is very similar to a current passive in the game, that being Evelynn, it isn't bad. It isn't nearly as strong as aware players will be able to react against it, and it doesn't provide an additional benefit beside being untargetable at a distance. Though here is the thing about the concept that I do wish to point out. You labeled her as an Artillery Mage / Disruptor, yet this passive is a bit of a contradiction to that. This feels more like an assassin tool if anything. So it makes me curious on how it will play out in game.

Q For an abilities sake this honestly is interesting. Now why I say that is because it is similar to the passive in terms of contradicting from the Artillery Mage stand point, well for one aspect of it. Being able to place down a point in which more skill shots can be shot from it is awesome in that regard. I have used it in a previous concept of mine. Though making the turbine appear only if you don't reach max range with the ability, that is the contradicting point of the ability. This limit on the range does make it more appealing to be close range, which that isn't exactly what artillery is used for. Sure once the turbine is out, you have extended range on the next cast but not being able to hit the same target twice is quite the limiter on it. I know that this limit is on there for the sake of rooting the target again. Though you can make it simply not be able to root the same target on the second cast and have it deal reduced damage to the same target. It would keep the ability strong without hindering it as much as it has been. However there is some thing I did want to mention about this ability in particular. While the ability itself is good in concept, I have a question. Why in the world does a half-dragon child pull out a turbine out of no where? I could see this working on say an inventor like champion, but the thing is that this ability isn't lore friendly to Zezaleya here. Something to think about.

W This ability does work really well with the current Q. Being able to put a DoT zone where she just placed a turbine can help put out damage on a rooted target is nice synergy. Once again though you have a part of this ability that puts Zezaleya in a bit of an identity crisis here. It strays way from the Artillery aspect by having her be near the turbine for bonus damage. She shouldn't be stronger up close if you want to be to focused on becoming an Artillery Mage. The Disruptor part you have down pretty well.

E So a melee ranged empowered basic attack. I keep bringing up this point, but this is working against the Artillery aspect of the concept. It is rewarding players who go in an get close to deal increased damage and even reduce cool downs. While I like the Brittle Bones aspect of reducing resistances, I feel like this can be moved to a different part of the kit. The reduced cool downs is always a nice part for a mage to have, but I feel like you could do something more unique to gain each benefit.

R The ultimate ability is also pretty similar to another ultimate in league so far. I see this as a much strong version of a Blitzcrank ultimate. While this does hit the Disruptor part of the kit right one, it is extremely strong. Silence in the game affects the majority of champions in a huge away. If it was a single target, being silenced for 2.5 can be justified. Though being able to put that duration of a silence on a whole team, that is painful. I do like the interaction between Brittle Bones and the Brittle Sound. There there can be things adjusted here for the gameplay. Like have you thought about turning this from an AoE around caster to a directional cast? Just an idea to throw out there for the sake of counterplay.

Overall Zezaleya, I feel like has identity issues. Some aspects of her kit push her away from the Artillery Mage that you suggested her role to be. The passive I would love to see in action being a ranged mage who ducks in and out of sight from a distance. The Q I feel like should be changed up a bit to fit the Half-Dragon concept, the ability itself is pretty solid but can have quality tweaks done to it. The W has a lot of potential to synergize with the rest of her kit and is a good ability for the most part. The E I feel like should be changed, but the aspects of Brittle Bones should remain along with the cool down reduction. The Ultimate is pretty strong with the high silence duration to multiple targets, and I feel like there should be changes in terms of balance and counterplay. Now don't take anything I said to heart, after all this is just my opinion. I don't mean to be harsh in any sort of review as I would rather see concepts flourish. The concept itself has potential just a few issues that could be worked on.

Anyways hopefully this is the sort of feedback that can help you on this half-dragon concept. Would really love some feedback on my concept Niado, The Razor Conductor if you have time to review.

Interesting concept. Mind if I add it here? it's a list of cool champ ideas that people like you make to make it easier for others to find them (and hopefully easier to get riot to notice).

I don't feel worthy to judge this...

But I like it, a unique kit, but ult feels to over loaded, AOE silence makes an entire team punching dummies for 2 seconds? Well threshed out, well developed, feels a bit like Morgana honestly, Hit snare place AOE DOT beneath them. Sorry I am to lazy to be critical, but this is definitively developed!

Feel free to give me a short comment on my concept Dar'taor, the Vagabond of Destruction
