[Marauder Ashe] Recolor the Particles, Please!

Eyrgos··2 votes·645 views

You can keep the price-point if you simply recolor the arrows/particles to like a deep, Sith red.

Since these wouldn't be 'new' particle effects, it wouldn't incur the price-increase.

Make everybody 10,000,000x happier with the skin.

What do you say, Rito?

I have to concur with this. And to add a bit to it. Rito releases skins for champions and all they are; are just re-color's of the original nothing knew. I feel like Im wasting my money on just a re-color when I can download and install them for free from another website. How about when you create a new skin you actually give the new skin new emotes or even a recall.

They're saying they won't do it because "new particles" would merit a price increase.

If there's seriously charging us that 225 RP extra for particle-recolors... I'm done.

Particle recolor != new particles.

This would be a non-issue QoL change for the skin.

Just like how High Noon Yasuo deserves a recolor to his ability icons to reflect the coloration of the skin (white/blue > amber/red)

Skins never change the ability icons, it just won't happen.

And yes, if Marauder Ashe got matching particles her price would go up to 975 RP.

No reason they can't or shouldn't. It's a simple recolor job.

Also, the particles wouldn't 'match', they'd be simple recolors too.

While not described in that link, a precedent for 975 pricing is usually brand new particles, in addition.

750 virtually never receives particle changes, but there's no reason a particle recolor should merit a price-increase in some cases.

Marauder Ashe should make one such case, as an exception of sorts, for how awfully her base-particles go with the skin.

virtually never

Riot has been trying to normalize the skin tiers, make the price consistent between all skin tiers. If Marauder Ashe got new particles and remained a 750 RP skin so many other people would be like: "Well if one 750 skin has new particles then why doesn't X skin have new particles, Rito plz"

Also, despite just wanting the particles to be changed, I doubt it's as simple as it seems.

They're not new particles, they're recolored particles.

People wouldn't want recolored particles on a 750 tier skin where the colors perfectly align with the skin itself, that's just nonsensical.

"I want red arrows with my blue skin!" no. That's also what champion/skin "Chroma" recolours will be for.

This would be a very minor touch to create a huge sell for 750 tier skins that just don't make sense not to have particle recolor done.

Some 750 skins it makes no sense to have recolored particles as the natural color perfectly fits the style or theme.

And it is as simple as it seems, it's as simple as hue-sliding on a small handful of particle-layers.

I've had discussions with Riot staff about the software they use & it truly is that sample, even in their software (which' evidently Photoshop from numerous chats I've had).

Many 750 skins aren't worth the price-point without particle recolor like Sweetheart Annie.

When their the seconds cheapest tier of skin in the game? When there are four skin tiers above that? That doesn't make sense to me. Regardless so many people have complained about Maruder Ashe and Sweetheart Annie, I doubt Riot will do anything at this point given that they have explained their reasons many times.

I really wish people would stop complaining when they don't what they want. I'm not trying to imply that your complaining or anything but if you look at some of the other threads on this topic, some people should just shut up and get the hell away from the internet.
