Critical Strike Twisted Fate

This is a rework idea for the one part of TF's kit I think is lackluster. His E. Here's how it goes:

E--Stacked Deck-- (Passive) Twisted Fate's critical strikes deal 60/85/110/135/160(+45% AP) additional magic damage. Every fifth auto has 100% crit chance.

Yes, he stacks the deck, but it still takes time and effort, thus: build crit chance.

Here are some sample builds that would be possible with this change: item 3115 item 3009 item 3085 item 3100 item 3089 item 3157 item 3115 item 3009 item 3124 item 3094 item 3085 item 3146 item 3115 item 3009 item 3046 item 3285 item 3508 item 3091 item 3100 item 3009 item 3094 item 3116 item 3151 item 3089 item 3124 item 3009 item 3031 item 3085 item 3094 item 3091 item 3115 item 3009 item 3285 item 3085 item 3100 item 3089

As you can see, while viable, none of them are really going to be overpowered. With an average of 30-60% extra crit chance, he's dealing a little, but not a lot, more magic damage on his autos. The main thing is that it makes already viable options like Runaan's and Rapid Firecannon better options.

But anyway, tell me what you think, is it a good idea? A bad idea? A strange idea? Whatever the case, thank you for reading.

I think it's a strange idea, because the auto-crit on the fifth auto actually de-incentivizes purchasing crit, since you lose value from crit you buy every 5th attack.

A more interesting option might be this:

#STACKED DECK Twisted Fate cheats the odds ever in his favor. He gains 7 / 9 / 11 / 13 / 15% bonus critical strike chance. Additionally, his critical strikes deal their additional bonus damage as magic damage.

Active: For the next 6 seconds, Twisted Fate doubles the bonus critical strike chance this ability grants him. During this time his critical hits deal an additional 20 / 25 / 30 / 35 / 40 (+40% AP) magic damage.

With IE, Statik Shiv, and that passive he can hit 80% critical strike chance if he opts for a hybrid build. You might get something like IE, Statik Shiv, Rageblade, Gunblade, Boots as a potential build.

I'm not sure it's GOOD for the champion, but it's definitely interesting if you want to push him more into a hybrid Marksman role.

You seem to have been barraged by the board's downvote fairies :( I'm with The Djinn in that any item giving crit chance isn't helpful if you ever have an attack that is guaranteed to crit. That doesn't necessarily mean it's a bad idea to give him a crit, but functionally, a guaranteed crit isn't different than bonus damage except for it interacts with crit damage modifiers. Here's a thought: what if his subsequent autoattacks increased his base crit chance by an amount until he gets one, then it goes back to the default?

As someone who plays TF I think his kit is fine.

Also runaans is not a good item on him simply because his w doesn't use it.

Came up with three new build ideas:

item 3087 item 3006 item 3115 item 3078 item 3124 item 3146 --Wave clear and dual damage. item 3100 item 3006 item 3115 item 3094 item 3135 item 3285 --Burst and sustain, pure magic damage. item 3094 item 3006 item 3091 item 3153 item 3046 item 3124 --High attack speed and on-hit damage. Abuses range and dual-damage crit.

I am of course, using the new Guinsoo's as that would be the one in use for all these builds.
