Champion Idea: Sairii, The Mournful Monstrosity
Hello one and all, to yet another Billcurme Champ idea. Today's feature: a cruisin', bruisin' top lane monster. This champion idea was actually made in response to someone's negative comment on a previous submission that I made before. Kinda my way of showing that people can't shut me down with bad comments.
Sairii, The Mournful Monstrosity A Billcurme and Cryptekz Champion Idea
Statistics: Health: 575 (+75/level) Hp Regen: 9.75 (+0.8/level) Attack Damage: 60.8 (+4.1/level) Attack Speed: 0.666 (+3.25%/level) Armor: 23 (+3.4/level) Magic Resist: 32.1 (+1.25/level) Move Speed: 345 Range: 125
Abilities:
Primal Brutality (innate): Whenever an enemy champion sees Sairii gain a killing blow (Range 2000), she gains a stack of Primal Brutality, up to 20. Stacks of Primal Brutality effect her abilities. If Sairii has been out of combat for 12 seconds, she starts losing stacks, losing stacks more quickly the less stacks she has (1 every 0.1 seconds, +0.1 second per stack of Brutality remaining). If Sairii is killed, she losses all stacks. Killing blows against enemy champions give her 5 stacks. Primal Brutality is tracked in a resource bar beneath the health bar (Purple, becoming darker the more filled the bar becomes.)
At level 5, Sairii will start to gain stacks passively while in combat, gaining 1 every 5 seconds. At level 11, Sairii will gain double stacks from killing blows. At level 16, Sairii will no loner lose stacks while out of combat.
While at max stacks of Primal Brutality, her next auto-attack will deal additional physical damage and consume 4 stacks of Primal Brutality.
Additional damage: 10/level + 15% bonus Ad
Murderous Intent (q): CD: 14/13.5/13/12.5/12s Range: 375 Sairii launches herself forward, dealing 120/140/160/180/200 (+40% ad) physical damage to all enemies she strikes, stopping at the first enemy champion hit. If Sairii has 4 or more stacks of Primal Brutality, she will consume those stacks to deal additional physical damage as if she consumed the stacks from her passive (10/level +15% bonus Ad). Murderous Intent can be used to pass over thin terrain (such as ledges near the blue-buffs), though not walls.
Forceful Impact (w): CD: 20/19/18/17/16s Range: 200 Sairii strikes target champion or tower, dealing 80/100/120/140/160 (+80% bonus ad) physical damage.
If Sairii has 10 or more stacks of Primal Brutality, champions she hits with this ability are knocked back. (200/250/300/350/400)
If Sairii strikes an enemy tower below 10/11.25/12.5/13.75/15% health while she has 19/18/17/16/15 stacks of Primal Brutality, she will execute the tower.
If Sairii has 15 or more stacks of Primal Brutality, she can use this ability to target champion-made terrain or turret remains, punching a hole in it. Players may pass through this hole. After striking the remains of a turret 3 times, those remains will be removed from the game. Using this on non-solid terrain (such as Yasuo’s Windwall or Azir’s Emperor’s Divide) will cause the effect to end immediately. (Side note: Upon ending Azir’s Emperor’s Divide, Sairii will be shoved back as normal.)
If this ability was used to destroy a tower or terrain, Sairii will launch 3 clumps or rock behind the destroyed terrain, dealing 80/90/100/110/120 (+50% bonus ad) to all enemies struck and slowing them by 30/35/40/45/50%. (Range:650) (Rocks launched straight and at 15 degree angle on either side) Rocks will not launch from non-solid terrain.
Stipulation: Targeting Braum while Unbreakable is active will consider Braum to be a non-solid Terrain. Thus, in order to target Braum while Unbreakable is active, Sairii must have 15 or more stacks of Primal Brutality. Targeting a Braum while Unbreakable is active will not knock Braum back, but will disable Unbreakable. If Unbreakable is not active, Braum will be treated as any other champion.
Break Them (e): CD: 16/15.5/15/14.5/13s Range: 200 Sairii makes a grab in front of her, grabbing the first enemy she hits. Sairii can only grab enemy champions and large jungle monsters if she has 8 or more stacks or Primal Brutality. The grabbed enemies will escape her grasp after 1 second.
If this ability was used to grab a minion or small jungle monster, Sairii may use this ability to throw the grabbed enemy in target direction, dealing 120/135/150/175/190 (+20% ad) physical damage to it and the first enemy hit, and slowing both of them by 20% for 1 second. (Range: 800)
If this ability was used to grab a champion or large jungle monster, Sairii may use this ability to slam down at target location, dealing 100/130/160/190/220 (+20% bonus ad) (+8/9/10/11/12% bonus Health) physical damage and stunning the grabbed champion or monster for 1.5 seconds, and dealing 80/90/100/110/120 (+8/8.5/9/9.5/10% bonus health) physical damage and knocking back nearby enemies. (Range: 500) (AOE Radius: 200) (Knock Back: 300) This ability may be used to travel to any location in range.
Monster (r): CD: 120/100/80 Sairii passively increases her max stacks of Primal Brutality by 5/10/15
This ability is only usable if Sairii has 10 or more stacks of Primal Brutality. Sairii embraces her monstrous state, gaining 15/25/35% increased movement speed and 35/40/45 bonus attack damage, and causing auto-attacks to deal an additional 50/100/150 (+15% bonus ad) physical damage, but causing each auto-attack to consume a stack of Primal Brutality. In addition, Sairii’s abilities will no longer go on cooldown as long as they consume Primal Brutality.
This ability lasts until Sairii has used up all of her Primal Brutality, or until she has been out of combat for 6 seconds. When this ability ends, Sairii becomes drained, reducing her movement speed by 30% and preventing her from gaining stacks of Primal Brutality for 10/8/6 seconds.
The main theme for this kit is MONSTROUS. Sairii is a brutal combatant, who excels in isolating her terrified prey and breaking them. Her Q and E are very powerful tools to move towards enemies and block off escape routes, as well as move enemies away from their allies. Though the real danger is in her W, which she can use to execute towers, removing her opponents safe havens. Some might be tempted to leave her alone so she can't stack her passive, but that means she would be free to farm and roam. Some might decide to stick to her lane, but that allows her to build up her brutality, becoming more ferocious and deadly. When up against this terrifying monster, enemies need to weight the importance of keeping her shut down, and keeping tabs on her.

Lore:
“In many ways, Demacia is a wonderful city. A place of Justice and Honor, where our king and his people actively strive to create a better world. But anyone who says this city is perfect is blind, naive, or just stupid.
To be fair, the noble paid well for me. The head of the lesser noble house of Goldplate was never known to be stingy. Petty, and power-hungry, yes. But not stingy. He sought out my family, on the brink of starvation on the outskirts of the City-State, and gave them enough coin so as to never want for anything ever again. All in exchange for their little girl.
Most nobles bought starving children for servants, to warm their houses or beds. I was bought to even the score. To help win him favor with the royal family. I was to be his soldier, his weapon. His family’s response to those ‘Upstart Crownguards, with their foolish children and political games.’ I never got a clear answer as to why he chose me. His reasons changed every time I asked. ‘Your poise. Your cunning. That look in your eyes.’ But I never needed to know the truth. I was his property now, and that was all I needed to know. And he was going to make me better.
I remember all this. That time before I was what I am today. Back when I was human. A girl--pretty, if the neighbor boys were to be believed--and all together unremarkable. Back before my noble lord smuggled me out of the city, to a house far away from prying eyes. Far from those who would disapprove of his methods, who would stop his dreams. Where they wouldn’t care for his company.
My noble lord had hired a scientist, a Zaunite chemist by the name of Singed. He didn’t care that the man had a reputation for working with Noxus. He didn’t care that the man was responsible for countless atrocities in the Noxian invasion of Ionia. He was blinded by the future he saw, where his super-soldier won his family the king’s favor and love.
I think I died one hundred times in that lab. Brought back from unbelievable torment to the cruel eyes of the Mad Chemist. A different assortment of serums and toxins constantly coursed through my veins. My lord stopped by every so often, to check on progress, constantly telling me of the Crowngaurd’s foolish achievements, or the young Prince’s daring exploits.
Finally, my lord grew tired of waiting. He demanded that Singed give him results, or he would pull the funds, and send his men to apprehend him. That was the last day I ever saw my lord.
After an eternity, Singed finally presented his completed serum. He told me this potent potion would either liquefy my insides, or turn me into something glorious. I still remember his laughter as he poured that vile drink down my throat.
By that point, pain had become an old friend of mine. But the torment I suffered then was on another level. I felt my blood seeping out of my sides, hardening around my stomach, cupping my chest. I felt my bones lengthening, my skin stretching in a vain attempt to keep them covered. I felt my legs snapping and bending, crumpling under the weight of my heavy torso. I felt new limbs forming out of my blood and flesh, stretching from my back. And finally I felt my face, as if on fire, as a shell formed over my jaw and forehead.
What happened next is a blur to me. I remember laughing, and a toxic gas, and shapes moving away. Rocks, tumbling around me, and finally the fresh air on my face. After so long, I was free. And I was faced with a choice. What I would do with my life. I wandered the land, trying to find my new place in this world.
But I had no place. Humans, Yordles, even the animals shunned me on sight, crying ‘Monster’. I was chased away from civilization, hunted and hated. My anger festered, and I grew to hate humanity. Until a single man showed me kindness. Demacia’s own prince. He asked for my tale, and listened to every word, as you do now. He reminded me of what humanity is.
Which lead me here, your Majesty. Demacia is not perfect. It has its flaws. I am living proof of that. But it is my home, my land, and my heart. I am a monster now, but if you would have me, I would be YOUR monster.”
-Sairii, swearing fealty to Jarven III-
Monsters in the Shadows The smells are horrendous in this city. Toxins premating the very air of Zaun, sinking into my skin and making it crawl. Reminding me of that time in that cellar. I suppress a shudder.
The noble is nervous, though from the cities presence or my own, I cannot discern. He keeps glancing around, at the shadows, at me. I struggle to keep up with him walking only on my legs. They bow and wobble with every step, forcing me to steady myself with a simple cane. One of the guards behind me seems worried. Might be wondering if he’ll be able to catch me if I fall. A glance at his thin frame and I’d guess not.
The citizens are giving me strange looks. Some of the less tactful ones are even trying to peer under my cloak, trying to sneak a peek at the form underneath. Luckily, Prince Jarvan had made sure to get the cloak layered before sending me on this foolish diplomatic mission. Monsters aren’t meant for diplomacy.
The scrawny guard behind me notices the trouble before I do. He moves astride to me, placing his arm gently on my back, managing to avoid my extra limbs. “We have a problem.”
I follow his gaze, struggling to see in the dark haze. Of all the things that mad-man enhanced in me, my senses were NOT one of them. After far too much effort, I manage to spot the group up ahead, waiting. I cast a gaze at the group around us, and give the guard a measured look. He nods, and goes to steer the group away from the crowded streets. Zaun and Demacia’s relations were stretched as it is. No need to scare the people with a monster.
The group moves with us, not bothering to hide. At a glance they appear to just be some street punks, but they seem to organized. By my guess, a mercenary group working for a Chem-Baron--likely with strong ties to Noxus. They wait until we are a good-ways off the beaten path before they launch their attack.
The first is sent flying against a nearby wall, his head caved in grotesquely. The others are more wary of me after that display, watching my cloak writhe about as my limbs struggle to get free. The guards are surrounding the noble now, armed with sword and halberd. One of the braver thugs rushes towards me, his legs powered by powerful chem-tech augmentations. He just speeds towards two of my out-stretched fists, snapping his own neck with the force of the blow. The shell around my upper arms helps absorb the blow for me, and I turn to the next two attackers, finally free of my cloak. They don’t bother to try and hide their horror at my appearance.
“It’s him!” I hear one of them whisper. I feel my cheeks flush with anger. Him? I don’t care how horrendous I appear, I’m still obviously a girl.
But after a second glance, I notice they aren’t even looking at me. A creature has leaped from the nearby rooftops, a flash of fur and fang and claw. The men are screaming now, trying to escape the pair of monsters they now face, as I cave in the head of another who gets to close. My escort has made it out by now, and I find myself along with the strange beast. This other monster.
He straightens up as much as he can, and turns to me. He’s a tall creature, almost like a wolf-man, though with larger ears and a--dare I say it--adorable fluffy tail. He’s watching me, measuring my movements. I move back just a little bit, keeping my torso close to the ground and my extra arms up in a defensive position. The very air seems still.
“You kill clean,” The creature says at last “no blood.” His voice comes out as a snarl, and his eyes are flashing dangerously. A large canister on his back full of strange green liquid simmers menacingly, and he begins to sniff the air between us. “Yet you bear HIS mark.”
I narrow my eyes. “I was about to say the same to you.” And he does. The mutation, the experimentation, the carelessness of his appearance. It all reminds me of my time in that horrid, forsaken place. My time with the Mad Chemist.
I hesitate, unsure what to do in the presence of another of that mans creation. He’s hesitating to. Both of us are waiting, seeing if the other will strike first.
Finally, our stand-off is broken by a noise from the other end of the alley. The scrawny guard, the one who had noticed the trouble first. He’s charging forwards, coming to help me.
In the second that I look away, the other creature leaps to the sky, scaling the sheer walls as easily as most walk down a street. I stare after him for a second, contemplating my choices. The Chemist survived the collapse of his old lab. He was still out here, still experimenting. I shudder, remembering his face, his touch, his cold eyes. The laugh that still haunts my dreams.
The guard comes up to me. I see concern in his eyes, something I never expected to find. I give him a reassuring nod and grab my cane, as he places the cloak about my shoulders again. I would deal with Singed if need be. Until then, Demacia still needed me.
This is how the events took place. After a review on one of my old champion concepts, I thought it would be neat to make a true monster character. Due to it being the home of some of my favourite champs, I thought I’d tie this monster to Demacia, and connect it with an unused bit of lore which I thought would be quite clever: Singed and his experiments. A week later, Riot releases their next bit of lore, showing the next champion concept to be a rouge experiment made by Singed... Needless to say, I was more than a tad disappointed, but decided I would try to roll with what I have here, implying that Sairii was an experiment before Warwick. However, I fully acknowledge that Sairii’s lore is rather similar to Warwick’s in a lot of ways. If it needs to be changed, it needs to be changed. I am open to suggestions, as long as I meed the following criteria: She has to be a monster, and she has to be loyal to Demacia.
Description: Quadruped walking on her palms. Inverted legs. Bleached-bone carapace hugging her sides, back and closest part of her limbs. Four extra arms on her back (two each side). Pale, stretched skin with sickly purple veins. Tendrils stretching over her back from the base of her extra limbs. Jaw and forehead encased in white shell. Hair is long and stringy, black. Hetero-chromia: right eye is purple, left eye is red. Elongated, sharpened teeth.
Quotes:
Selection: When heroes fail, I will rise.
Ban: Are you afraid of Monsters?
Movement: The ground trembles. I go. Forward. My hands are sore. Ow. Rock in my palm. Bring me to them. I go where I’m needed. I march. You’d think the extra limbs would make me faster.
Attacking: Break. Crack. Crush. Crumble. Snap. Crunch. Boo. You’re getting Hexa-spanked.
Joke: (Does a handstand with all 6 hands) Handstand! What do you mean I’m cheating? I don’t understand why people call this difficult. This is a lot easier than Garen talks about. Can I give you a ‘hand’?
Taunt: Monsters aren’t known for mercy. Six arms to rip you apart with.
Taunting an enemy Garen: The wake of your accomplishments are the breeding grounds for monsters. The more you succeed, the more others shall try to undermine your success.
Taunting an enemy Jayce: Heroes die when monsters rise.
Taunting an enemy Lux: Your light should go back into the shadows. Shine your light in the darkness, and you’ll find me.
Taunting an enemy Quinn: Demacia doesn’t need heroes. It needs monsters! Oh look, your brought dinner.
Taunting an enemy Singed: You already made your masterpiece. It will now be the death of you. You were right, Singed. That potion did make me better. Better than you, at least. I’m still more human then you, Singed! No more, monster! You will haunt my dreams no more! Never again!
Throwing an enemy minion towards an enemy Sivir with Break Them: Catch this!
Grabbing an enemy Warwick channeling Infinite Duress using Break Them: Bad dog. Stop that. Get off of them.
Slamming and enemy Jayce or Vi with Break Them: No, THIS is a Power Slam!
Activating Monster: I won’t run anymore! I am a monster! This is the truth of who I am! FOR DEMACIA!!!!
Still needs some work, especially with quotes and perhaps a whole new lore, but it's a start. Thoughts are appreciated.
