Conflicted about DJ Sona

I'm glad that we are getting a new Ultimate Skin, and especially one that kicks ass as hard as this one, but I have a few concerns that I want to address. I've been looking at some of the other posts centered around Sona and I've noticed a few things

  1. Yes, the Art/Skin development team and Gameplay teams are separate, therefore they technically (as far as we know) did not plan to release this skin after the recent nerfs

  2. Being an Ultimate skin, EVERYONE is gunna wanna play it or atleast be in a team with it. The problem here is, Sona is very weak compared to every other support in the game. In fact, I think she is the weakest overall champ right now. While Ezeral and Udyr arent the strongest in their roles right now, they are still decently strong and can fulfill their roles easily.

  3. The meta right now is focused on damage and sustain, and due to Sona's recent nerfs, she sort of fails in her role as a support.

  4. I saw a reply in a separate post concerning her high win-rate. The problem is, a Percentage is different than a Value. She could have a 75% win rate, but only played 100 matches. Whereas Thresh could have only a 60% win rate, but has played in over 100,000 matches.

Edit: 5) Sona is a Jack-Of-All-Trades, Master-Of-None support, but I think its her largest downfall. Her "Niche" in her Aura system isn't even unique and she gets outclassed by Taric's Armor Aura and his Ult. Additionally, there are better Jack-Of-All-Trades characters, such as Gangplank and Lee Sin (albeit kinda unfair since they arent in the same role)

Now I'm not trying to bash any Sona mains, or complain to anyone who wants to get this skin. I am on the fence. I love her new skin and I'm caught between buying it for the skin itself, or staying away as It'll never be used in anything other than bots. So I wanna see what everyone has to say. Do you guys wanna see new buffs come out for Sona? Should Riot overhaul the support class again and balance it out? How do you think Sona will perform if more people play her? What are your thoughts about the new Skin?

Personally, I hope Riot gives Sona some well deserved buff once the community has truly put her through the ringer, kinda like when Ezeral got played more when his Ultimate came out. I like that Riot gave her a new aura system so she was more hands on, but making her mana-hungry, cool-down sore, and barely doing anything with her skills when they come up (Her base and Ap ratios suck across the board...)

I do think that Sona is unfortunate to be in a metagame that is unsuitable for her, but I'm not sure if this justifies buffs. On one hand, she is underpowered in the current meta if she isn't buffed, on the other hand, she might be overpowered if she's buffed and the meta shifts to one that's favorable for her. In my opinion she could use a buff in the utility area because currently, everything about her scales with AP except for ult, and as support, she'll rarely get the chance to get enough gold to feel powerful with her abilities, so there's some sorta identity crisis going on here (I would love it if she gets turned into a viable mid though :D).

I think that a possible buff is to increase the utility aspect of Power Chord, by increasing the duration of the W and E debuff from 3 and 2 seconds to maybe 5 seconds. Another way will be to lower her mana costs and CDs of W and E, but also lower the base and scaling to match it. This increase the window that W and E Power Chord debuffs can be triggered, and personally I think for Sona, it's more fun to be able to spam lesser power abilities than higher power abilities less often.

Thoughts on the skin? FUCKING AWESOME.
