[Gameplay] Arcane Comet Hit-Detection Miscalculation.
There seems to be an issue with Arcane Comet's hit detection counter, where the counter is cut by 2. For example, 100% hit rate is considered 50%. 99-98% is considered 49%, etc. As far as I can tell, this affects any champion who takes it, I went into a Co-Op vs AI to double check and even the Zyra Bot had the same issue, where despite landing 100% of comets, it only read as 50%. I'm not sure how long this bug has been in the game, I may have noticed it before when checking Arcane Comet's stats but was far too late in the game to think it was a bug and not bad gameplay.
From what I can tell: Hitting 100% of shots doesn't bring the counter over 50%. Hitting multiple Champions 'might' but that is difficult to set up in real or bot games where you can test it. Missing Comets DOES reduce the counter to below 50%. From there, it seems impossible to bring the counter to, or over 50%. Because of this, I think that the actual formula is just bugged. It doesn't seem to affect gameplay much, Damage is still dealt and the Damage Counter seems to be fine; unless I'm mistaken it still shows 100% of the damage dealt. No items or other keystones seem to be affecting it. However, if this bug isn't fixed, players may think Arcane comet is too weak or too strong (Players seeing that they land only 25-30% of shots when it's actually +50%, or players doing really well and seeing how much damage they've done with only 45-50% accuracy).
- Make sure Arcane comet is your keystone. My specific Build was Arcane Comet, Manaflow Band, Transcendence, Scorch and Perfect Timing, Boots on Swain. However I don't think specific builds or champions matter since the Zyra Bot had the same issue.
- Land a spell that allows Arcane Comet to fire and hit the opponent, then check the counter.
As far as I can tell, it's 100% activation rate.
