Durability based champion

For a while I've been thinking about if it would be possible to add a durability mechanic into League. When I say durability mechanic I mean like in SRPGs where a weapon can only be used a certain amount of times before breaking. After a while of thinking about how this could work in League I came up with an idea for a kit.

General Idea for character: I was thinking something along the lines of a weaponsmith type champion who makes weapons on the fly.

Passive: Our weaponsmith champion wields one good sword and creates all his other weapons on the fly. His rushed weapons are incredibly poor in quality and break easily after performing auto attacks. This champ would be manaless. Weaponsmith can recast spells when he has a weapon out to discard the weapon. Casting any other spell will also discard his currently held weapon His spells don't have a cooldown but instead have conditions that need to be met for him to use each spell. (Think like he has to gather the materials to build the weapon). He doesn't start "gathering materials" for each item until after he has discarded the weapon.

Q: Weaponsmith takes a step forward (very small dash) and thrusts his newly created spear forward. After cast Weaponsmith wields his spear. The spear augments his autos to be linear AoEs with a progressive hitbox. (think a far shorter version of Twitch ultimate) Spear has 20 durability but loses one durability for each unit hit by his autos. To cast his Q Weaponsmith has to travel through the jungle for a long enough distance. (think Deadman's Plate). The idea is that he's gathering wood for the pole of the spear.

W: Weaponsmith's next auto deals extra damage by him making a scythe and crashing it on the enemy. Scythe has a curved AoE auto with a minimum range. (to force a player to manage positioning much more in order to gain the reward of AoE autos) While wielding the Scythe Weaponsmith deals extra damage with autos but has slower attack speed. Scythe has a durability of 10-15. (I'm not sure what would be ideal, but I was thinking just enough for one fight if you wanted to use it for a fight.) In order to "gather materials" to build a scythe Weaponsmith has to kill units. (Play on the idea that a scythe is the grim reapers tool of choice.)

E: Weaponsmith makes twin daggers and uses them to defend himself giving himself a momentary amount of invunerability. (Think Fiora's W without the counter attack and spell immunity including the no movement though.) While wielding the twin daggers Weaponsmith's attack speed is doubled (Think Kog'maw pre-un-rework) but his autos deal half his AD in damage. His daggers would have a durability of 30-50. (Once again not sure what would be ideal but I was thinking this would be the melt down one thing as quick as possible weapon.) In order to "gather materials" for the twin daggers Weaponsmith has to collect scrap metal. (think something like bard chimes where they spawn randomly nearby)

Ultimate: Weaponsmith creates the grandest sword. He summons his sword from the heavens (the one magical thing he does). The sword sticks into the ground dealing damage to enemies directly under it and momentarily stunning opponents near the sword. (Think like a .25 second stun because they are pausing in amazement of the beautifully crafted sword.) Weaponsmith would then have to walk to the sword to pick it up and use it. Grand/giant sword gives extra range and would deal massive damage to enemies auto'd while also stunning them for the smallest amount of time. (Once again idea is them being stunned by amazement/appreciation.) but reduces Weaponsmith's AS to 1/3 of what it is. Durability would be 3. (Or at least I was thinking 3 would be reasonable for it.)

I was thinking that something like this kit would allow for a player to build differently but still feel impactful. So if you focus more on teamfighting you build more like an adc and focus on using the scythe. Or you could be more like a burst AD guy and build more like an assassin and focus on using the spear. Or you could try to be more of a duelist and build some crazy on-hits and focus on using the twin daggers. And of course you could still build tanky and use the utility of the Q and E to position and take some extra hits. And building any of the four styles the Ultimate could still be impactful. For the tank you can position to get a big stun on more of the enemy team; for the teamfighting and burst builds you can hit hard on whoever you're focusing; and for the AS build you get good utility out of it with both the initial cast and the extra small stuns you get.

Overall I just want to see a durability mechanic and I'm pretty sure that it would be able to be done.

I dont like how he gather "resources" to cast his abilities, i get what you were going for, but in essence what going happen is your giving a reload mechanic to a melee champion.

Similar to Jhin and Graves, each strike removes an Durability/ammo from the weapon, when it's empty/broken, they have to reload. They would probably be a short animation to show he "forging" it. Maybe his ult gives him better tools? or he can purchase better tools from the shop, like Viktor.

I like the idea of a weapon smith, and think the idea would be pretty cool.

Work on alternate resource gatheriing, i.e Killing minions drop raw materials, different type of enemy unit drop a certain value material etc use to forge or buy from store etc.
