**Q: Astral Discs **

Range: 1175 (verified range with Sivir's)

Cost: 50/60/70/80/90 mana

Liliandra casts out two swirling discs of the night sky at a targeted location. Once reaching full range, these spin back to her. Liliandra receives 25% of the damage dealt back as health. Her disc spin at the same time, at the same location. Although, she throws one on left and the other on the right. There is a small space between her discs that they will not hit. Also, unlike Sivir, her discs continue on the same way and return to where they were thrown.

Damage: 50/90/130/170/210 (+0 AD and 65% of AP) magic damage

Cool down: 7 seconds

W: Spirit Rush

Range: 1000

Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana

Liliandra rushes forth at shocking speeds, dealing damage to those she runs through and then an AoE explosion once she reaches full length, or if denotated early. If denotated early, Liliandra stops rushing forth.

Damage: 50/70/90/110/130 (+0 and 35% of AP)

E: Dark Embrace

The slow effect last for 1.5 after the spell ends or breaks. The spell breaks once enemies move out of range. Also, when bound, enemies take damage over time and then more when the bond breaks / expires.

Update

If the bond is broken, enemies receive damage at 50% reduced damage.

Damage (per second): 25/35/45/55/65 (+0 AD and +75% of AP)

Damage (at the end / breaks): 50/70/90/110/130 (+0 AD and 45% of AP)

**R: Blessing of the Night Spirit **

Range: 30,000 (she may not dash to fountains)

Cost: 120 mana

Liliandra cares for the suffering of the mortal kind. Thus, in time of great need, Liliandra blesses them with her appearance. Liliandra dashes at 110% increased movement to a targeted area or ally champion. She is immune to cc during this effect. Also, while dashing, she grants vision to the team. The vision she grants last for 2 seconds. Once she reaches her ally unit or targeted location, she grants them a shield that blocks 300/400/500 damage of all types for 4 seconds.

Update

Liliandra gets a shield at 50% power as she dashes through the land, but upon arriving at the targeted location or ally, she refreshes the shield to its full power.

Cool down: 120 seconds

Perhaps you have seen her, once in a dream? Or in your dying need? Liliandra is a kind and kindred spirit who feels the suffering of the mortal realm. She travels through the mystic realms of Valoran, traveling to those in need and blessing them with the the night's grace.

Villains who hurt those Liliandra has blessed, receive a cosmic punishment dealt by her hand. Those who survive her attacks, which is a rare occurrence, speak of her being a spirit of both human body and mind, but of godlike speed and power. Whole legions have tried to kill the spirit, but she'd wipe them out swiftly and effortlessly then disappear without a trace.

Others have tried to set up traps to catch the mystical beauty, yet none have succeeded in their plots. For, the stars themselves shift in her time of need and her kindred guardian sees her well. To this day, people hunt the spirit, in hopes of learning more of her realm.

But for now, Valoran can rest knowing they have guardians watching over them from another world, another place, even if they do not grace their presence.

"Do not fear the dark, for I am here to be your guiding spirit." - Liliandra

(Pronounced: Lily - and - dra)

Passive: Seems like an offensive form of Wukongs or Irelias passive, but personally I don't see the connection to her kit or theme.

Q: Do these discs move like Sivir's Q or Gnars ? From the sound of it the two discs are thrown at the same time and have the same trajectory, is that right?

W: "shocking speeds" and "or if denotated early" seem a bit contradicting, since the faster it is the harder it is to reactivate it at the intended moment.

E: 5 MS is a bit to specific, why not make a % slow?

more when the bond breaks / expires

How do I counteract it then ?

R: Range Shen R has 35,000 range and is the ult with the highest range (SR isn't infinitly big) Sounds like a combo of Sorakas Passive and Shens R, but honestly it feels weaker than Shens (can probably be damaged/killed while dashing !towers! and shield only activates upon arrival, not before) the only upside is the vision, which can come in handy, but since you dash to an ally you will mostly traverse already warded paths.

Lore: Reminds me of Soraka to be honest (travelling cosmic healer), but her Kit doesn't reflect her lore that well (cosmic punishment: yes / blessing those in need: not so much)

Yay, someone with critiques.

Passive: Okay, so Liliandra (forgot to add to lore) is rumored to gain in strength the more she is surrounded by opposing forces. So, I just thought it would be fun the have a champion that gets stronger instead of having a weakness aura, more resistances, free cast... I just thought it was time for a flat damage passive the more she was grouped by people. I could, however (not saying I am), could make her abilities gain new effects when uses alongside each other.

Q: You could say that moved like either Gnar's or Sivir's, but they always return to Liliandra after be thrown. So, more like Sivir. You are correct, they are thrown at the same time, at the same place. Only, one is on the left and the other on the right.

W: Hmm, yea. It does sound weird. I want Liliandra to be the engaging sort, but to able to stop herself if things turn foul. I would make her move fast, but not too fast where she cannot react or plan according.

E: Oh, oops. That is a typing error. I forgot the % sign. Thanks for pointing that out.

R: This is a global thing. I forgot the word, so I just put the series of 9s. I will make that change. So, Liliandra isn't a healer per say. Liliandra graces them with her presence. Her R is meant to represent that. Since she is traveling to someone "in need" and "blessing them" with a shield. Oh, I also said "targeted location". Meaning she can go an ally, or drop in on the baron pit. >.< Her ult also has a timer on the shield, so if she was dashing to a location, she may only have 2 seconds left by the time she reaches there... oooh idea.

Q: Counterplay: Her Q is still considered a spell. People with item 3102, item 3814, or Malzhar's passive, Morg's black shield, etc. can block some of the damage or all of it. Also, forgot to mention, these discs are wide, but there is a narrow space between them. Try being more middle focused. Or, try to out run them. If you meant her E's counterplay, shields like Sivir's E, Morgana's Black Shield, or other shields block this before and after the bond is placed. I just found a potential fix here.

FloRaider421 votes

Concerning counterplay I meant E the fact that it didn't matter if you waited for expiration or broke the link since you took the same damage anyway. Now with the 50% reduction it's better since you can react.

Maybe mention that there is some space between the discs as it isn't that clear.

Seems I skimed the targeted area part, because "blesses them with her appearence" made me think you always target an ally unit. Having a global "teleport" with no range seems very strong though (compare RekSai TwistedFate)

Okay, I just read every existing teleport. Yea, she is a little op. I basically gave her a built in teleport. She will have a 30,000 range.

So, besides that, everything look good?

Honestly ? There is nothing wrong with her kit, but I feel like Sir Poodles three questions fall a bit flat on her:

What does this champion offer in gameplay that other champions don't?

The abilities all have new aspects to set themselves apart from existing ones, but the combined kit doesn't have a playstyle or role to fullfill.

Passive, Q and E lend themselves to Teamfights or Sieges W is an escape tool (and potentially an engage tool) R is a support tool or gank tool

How is this champion's thematics different from others?

Honestly not even sure what her theme is, since it strikes me as a mix of Soraka (fast travelling cosmic samaritan) and Eve (mysterious dangerous women of the night)

How is the thematic expressed in the gameplay?

Her R and maybe the W fit the travelling part, but the rest fall a bit short.

The Dreamwalker1 votes

Here are my answers to Sir Poodles questions.

  1. What does she offer that other don't?

Honestly, what you said is true. Her powers are set aside from existing powers. However, I would like to shed some light on the playstyle or role of Liliandra. Liliandra is a safe, harass from distance. Then, when enemies are low, she goes all in with her W, then binds with her E, the slow makes her able to land her Q, and then her R can be used to catch her opponent has they flee, or gank another lane and repeat. She would be a constant delete, gank, repeat sort of character.

  1. Her thematics (speaking of cosmic characters, mainly Bard and Soraka)

Liliandra is different because is not only a cosmic being from another realm, but she also embraces the night as her "chosen" form while on Runeterra. She is not a killer like Eve, but she is not a healer like Soraka. She blesses a place in need of a guardian, and when harm comes to those people, she strikes with deadly force.

  1. How are they expressed?

Her "traveling" are expressed in her W and R. Her "cosmic punishments" are expressed in other abilities, including passive. The visuals of these abilities take on the appearance of the night sky or they are astral. Basically, instead of being the warm colors of Soraka and Bard, she is a "dark" opposite yet still on the side of good.

Liliandra is a safe, harass from distance. Then, when enemies are low, she goes for a spell rotation to burst them

Leblanc Ekko Diana Ahri Zed

She would be a constant delete, gank, repeat sort of character.

You just described the assassin role

She blesses a place in need of a guardian, and when harm comes to those people, she strikes with deadly force.

Problem is that she doesn't play like a Guardian think Braum, Leona etc. She does strike with deadly force, but so do lots of other champions

Her "traveling" are expressed in her W and R.

Already pointed that out. A champion with a Traveller theme already exist however (namely Bard).

Her "cosmic punishments" are expressed in other abilities, including passive.

I get the cosmic part, but I feel like the punishment part falls flat, considering that her abilities are all rather straightforward and her passive has also little to do with punishment and more "let's fight as many people as possible" Think Garen's Ult passive, which is about punishing people for murdering your teammates.

The visuals of these abilities take on the appearance of the night sky or they are astral.

Visually they might appear that way, but gameplaywise I have my doubt that they deliver on that same theme. Basically I could replace her theme quite easily and the abilities would still work.

Well, then I don't know. I have the game for what, three months now?

Oh sry didn't know you had it for such little time, maybe I should cut you some slack there...

I mean, if you really think about it, if all of those champions listed in an area have similar things to offer, then why can't they just add Liliandra to the pile?

Because each of them still bring their own style into the game (LB misdirection, Talons acrobatics, Ekkos Timewarp, Dianas bruiser/assassin style, etc.), whereas Liliandre feels lackluster in comparison. There is also the fact that Riot is currently working on improving those differences (assassins/diver update).

Liliandra offers being a guardian in a different aspect. When teammates need her, she is there for them.

Guardian: someone who protects something Apart from the shield on R she doesn't really deliver on that though.

but Liliandra is traveling punish-er.... I guess is how some might view her. But, she only "punishes" if someone in need that she blessed is in danger by said person.

That actually sounds like an interesting direction to develop towards, but currently you don't really feel that in her kit. She doesn't bless allies and her abilities have no difference on whetever you use it to punish or straight up kill someone.

Well, her punishment doesn't have to be passive.

I was talking about Garen's passive not passive punishment, which actually fits the punishment aspect somewhat, since it enables you to punish enemies for killing your allies.

Well, I have faith in Riot's visual team. If they can make Bard and Raka so perfect, then they can do the same for Liliandra.

I don't understand the context here...

I mean, the fact that she shares so much with every other champion in LoL just goes to show that she could be on of Riot's future champions.

Actually Riot is working on making every champion more unique and seperate. Think Class update that changed the assassins up so everyone had a new gameplay fantasy or Ivern and Bard that have very different playsytles to existing champions. Heck look at warwick and how hard they tried to make his theme as powerful as possible.

I guess, I cannot make everyone happy with my idea

That should never be your intention as it is completly impossible, but I hope you realize some problems people may or may not have with such a champion.

Okay, I fixed Liliandra to make fit her lore. Her passive now allows her to bless allies with increased resistances. If a blessed unit dies, Liliandra gets a set amount of time to kill that killer. If Liliandra succeeds in enacting revenge, she gains a permanent 5% extra damage.

Well, I think I have finally found how to express her style. While Liliandra fights in her lane or the jg, she is blessing those in need with her passive ability. Should they fall, she gets the chance to enact revenge and get stronger because of it.

I think I have finally done it. Her passive now gives her that feeling of a punisher. Also, the context I was talking about Riot's visual team. I was talking about this, "Visually they might appear that way, but gameplaywise I have my doubt that they deliver on that same theme." Although, I may have misinterpreted your meaning.

The way I wrote my previous statement about not making everyone happy. I knew that I couldn't do that. I know that there are problems. I even added in the space before her lore.

Anyways, thanks for the edits. I need to finish the fine details before I finalize her.

Her passive now allows her to bless allies with increased resistances. If a blessed unit dies, Liliandra gets a set amount of time to kill that killer. If Liliandra succeeds in enacting revenge, she gains a permanent 5% extra damage.

One problem I have is the stacking extra damage, since it "encourages" to wait for allies to die and then help for the buff. The increased damage and resistance against the killer already can be fairly strong in a gank or TF. Maybe make it so that you also get a bonus to support an ally that gets harmed instead of going full force on revenge kills, to highlight the guardian aspect.

Also, the context I was talking about Riot's visual team. I was talking about this, "Visually they might appear that way, but gameplaywise I have my doubt that they deliver on that same theme." Although, I may have misinterpreted your meaning.

I said that the abilities may visually fit her theme (which yes the visual team is good at), but gameplaywise the abilities lack flavor so I didn't understand why you would bring up the visual team.

Oh, good point. I think I can find a place to add that.

Oh, then it was misinterpretation. I misunderstood what you were saying, but now I understand.
