Trixy, the Playful Dancer

Trixy is a vastayan by blood, she has large butterfly wings in the shape of cherry blossom petals, with the head and ears of a fox, body, arms, and legs of a young girl, a height of around 96 cm (approx. 3'2") (excluding wing span, her wings also go significantly paste her own height), and is bright and vivid in colours of all kinds like a flower and butterfly.

Trixy was born in the poor and rundown parts of Noxus, getting ignored and looked down upon by the nobles, shunned to be worth less than dirt. A place where crime runs rapid and fights breaking out constantly, law and order is long gone in these slums, coming down to survival of the fittest... Trixy was treated no different.

Despite coming from such a grim place, this did not put Trixy down to everyone else's level around her. She always put on a smile and tried to uplift those around her (which to be blunt, this might have gotten her a beating a little more), but it takes one person's commitment, even through hard times, in order to inflict change.

Trixy learned how to dance and make her dancers as graceful and beautiful as possible, but every time she danced in front of others resulted in the same thing, a beating of her playfulness and joy out of her, but she was determined. Day in and day out she practiced and kept on trying to improve, getting her beatings when she danced in front of others, until she realized of her natural magical capabilities running through her blood and used this to make her dances better with running sparkles and glitters to full from her wings. With the practice she put in over several years and using her magic to make her dance even more beautiful, she slowly started to change people, things were beginning to change.

A year later, a place of grim is now starting to look like a home. Instead of fighting each other, groups of people are getting together to help repair houses and stores, the strong is aiding the weak instead of robbing them. Residents are slowly starting to smile instead of always being either sad or angry, what seemed like a place of grey skies, people are starting to see the sky as the bright blue it has always been. All thanks to the hardship commitment of Trixy desiring change of her home, not accepting how things were and tried to change the way of living not for herself, but for everyone around her and to better the future.

Now, Trixy decided to travel all over Runeterra, seeing if her dance can bring joy and happiness to the world. She wants to make the world a better place for all, create a better future that is the opposite of dark and gloomy, not letting her being born from a grim place or being an orphan to bring her down! She has large wings for a reason, might as well use them to travel the world!

Trixy is a mage that makes the enemy team dance and plays with her target a little bit before they die, if the enemy team does not dance, well then they get annihilated by her area of effect damage.

Passively, Trixy will perform a different dance based on her last spell cast, empowering her team around her based on the current dance.

Attack Range: 600 units Movement: 330 units per second

Uplifting Dance (Passive):

Range: 600 units

After Trixy casts a basic ability, she will perform a beautiful dance for 5 seconds, empowering herself and nearby allies around her based on the dance currently being performed. Only one dance can be performed at a time.

Joyous Prancing: Ally area of effect damage deals 10 - 35 (+20%AP) bonus magic damage.

Steeled Delight: Enemy single target damage is decreased by 10%(+6% per 100AP).

Party Together: All basic attacks, including pets and minions, deal 4 - 10 (+5%AP) bonus magic damage, increased to 12 - 30 (+15%AP) bonus magic damage for champions. If the target is a champion and has not attacked in 2.5 seconds, then this deals 48 - 120 (+60%AP) bonus magic damage.

Magic Seed (Q):

Cooldown: 10/9/8/7/6 seconds; Range: 900 / 600 units

Trixy hurls a magic seed to the target location, dealing 50/70/90/110/130(+80%AP) magic damage in a tiny area. Magic vines start to grow out to all nearby enemies around the magic seed over 2 seconds, damaging enemies the vines connect to after 2 seconds for 75/105/135/165/195(+120%AP) magic damage.

Sparkles and Glitter (W):

Cooldown: 15 seconds; Range: 600 units

Trixy unleashes sparkles and glitter from her wings for 5 seconds, spreading around her, reducing the effectiveness of healing by 40/55/70/85/100% and eating away at shields at 20/27.5/35/42.5/50% of its maximum durability every second.

Trixy gains 30/50/70/90/110(+90%AP) shield for 5 seconds.

Party Time (E):

Cooldown: 0.5 second; Range: 500 / 500 / 600 units

Trixy summons a butterfly from her location, then acting on its own for 6 seconds, with its attacks dealing 7/9/11/13/15(+10%AP) magic damage. The area around the butterflies slows nearby enemies by 12/14/16/18/20%(+3% per 100AP).

After 6 seconds, the butterfly will explode into pretty magic, dealing 20/35/50/65/80(+25%AP) magic damage in a large area and silencing and blinding for 1.5 seconds.

Trixy can store up to 3/4/5/6/7 butterflies at a time, coming to her every 17/16.5/16/15.5/15 seconds [affected by CDR].

Beautiful Wings (R):

Cooldown: 3 seconds

Passive: Affecting champions, structures, or epic monsters with her attacks and abilities will charge Trixy's Beautiful Wings, up to 100% charge. Each rank increases the charge rate to be faster. Every second of dancing near allied champions grants charge, grants even more charge based on how many champions are affected.

Toggle: Trixy takes flight, granting her 60/100/140% total movement speed and able to fly over units, slowly draining her charge and taking her out of flight when reaching 0% charge. While at 80/65/50% or greater charge, Trixy is able to fly over terrain.

Flight lasts for 7 seconds from 100% charge. Trixy can still charge her Beautiful Wings while in flight to prolong the flight further.

UPDATE NOTES:

Uplifting Dance: Joyous Prancing: Bonus damage for AoE effects changed 10 - 35 +20%AP bonus magic damage from 5% +3% per 100AP increased damage (Easier to tune this way instead of amp damage. Reminder, only one dance can be in play at a time.)

Magic Seed: Tooltip wording changed slightly for hopefully better clarity Cooldown changed to 10/9/8/7/6 from 7 seconds Delay for vine damage increased to 2 from 1.5 seconds Initial damage lowered to 50/70/90/110/130+80%AP from 50/75/100/125/150+100%AP Vine damage increased to 75/105/135/165/195+120%AP from 50/75/100/125/150+100%AP

Sparkles and Glitter: Duration increased to 5 from 4 seconds 2 seconds linger duration removed, now the debuff and shield destruction is removed by moving away from Trixy Shield duration increased to 5 from 4 seconds to match the debuff duration Shield ratio lowered to 90% from 100% to compensate for a longer shield duration

Party Time: Cooldown increased to 0.5 from 0 second to prevent accidental usage of multiple butterflies when you did not want multiples Cast range removed / reduced to 0 from 600 units Slow area increased to 500 from 250 units around the butterflies Slow reduced to 12-20% +3% per 100AP from 13-25% +4% per 100AP

Butterfly duration increased to 6 from 5 seconds Time before butterflies explode equally increased to 6 from 5 seconds Explosion damage reduced to 20/35/50/65/80+25%AP from 40/60/80/100/120+45%AP Explosion now also blinds and silences for 1.5 seconds

Creation time increased to 17/16.5/16/15.5/15 from 14/13.5/13/12.5/12 seconds

(Butterflies are slow movers, but they do move, everyone can outrun them unless massively slowed far beyond what the butterflies can slow for.)

Seems pretty cool, but the damage on that Q is pretty ridiculous. 200% AP scaling on a 7 second cooldown just screams snowball champ. You could max it last and still get 100+200% AP damage from it.

I'm not sure I like the idea of an ability that just renders certain champions useless, IE her healing nullifier (DrMundo Soraka Vladimir Rakan ). It should probably just apply the same debuff that Aatrox does now with his passive. It might also be nice if she could apply the shield to any allied champion.

Those butterflies not having a cooldown seems like a nightmare. Spam out 7 butterflies all at the same time to deal 105+70% AP every second or so for five seconds? That's not even counting her passive dance buff. And on top of that, they would all detonate at the same time, for a grand total of 840+315% AP damage. I think the ability should have a static cooldown of 1 second, and the detonation damage should be tuned down just a bit.

The butterflies have a recharge time, no cooldown is rate of summoning, but I could remove the cast range completely so they just spawn at her location which forces her to fly around the area to trap her targets in with butterflies to try to get the Q to land.

In terms of the Q, it is balanced since the initial toss is a super small AoE (levels of the STUN AoE of Heimer grenade, not the grenade AoE, the STUN portion of it which is super tiny and hard to land) so it is really hard to land already and the other portion is delayed by 1.5 seconds similar to a Varus ult mechanic without the CC. The final part, damage is based on the total damage on the kit since you have only two damage spells, excluding Passive-E dance.

W is intended to be anti-healing, it is a clever way to have her damage stick to targets so that she can have less damage on her kit, I could remove the linger time so that it is only an area around her instead and getting away from her removes the debuff and shield destruction.

For the Q all you need is a Lux or a Zyra or anyone to land a root in order to get the full damage off of her combo. An ability I would compare it to would be Soraka's E. 230+40% AP each tick, and it has a 16 second cooldown. And, similarly to Soraka, Trixy has a powerful slow ability that makes it easier to land her second portion of damage.

For her butterfly summoning, compare it to someone like Heimerdinger. His turrets have a long-ish recharge time of 20 seconds, but still cannot deploy them all instantly. His Q has a 1 second cooldown to prevent that kind of sudden genesis of a turret nest. That combined with the fact that your butterflies cannot be attacked, so the only way to avoid their damage is to just walk away, makes for an incredibly frustrating experience.

Also I hadn't thought of this before, but I assume Trixy uses mana? How much would her Q/W/E cost? That could be a good way to balance her spamming out spells.

No resource outside of the ultimate. The butterflies have a duration rather than infinitely are there until killed or replaced. That is their frustration reduction.

Q should feel a huge reward for properly landing it and feel impactful. Maybe I should increase the delay on it a little bit more.

I think she should have mana costs, with a rather expensive cost on her E at max rank. This is also because I would 100% play her as a support, and I would want to be able to take item 3303 on her.

Also that addition of blind+silence is pretty nasty, gives her a whole lot of zoning power in teamfights.

She would not make a great support, her passive goes with what she wants to do for those abilities, but she can also choose to stick near her team and help them out as well. She is a control mage that is simultaneously about wanting enemies to split apart and stick together, since you want to move away from the seed to not take damage and she wants to try to herd them in a small area and cut off their escape route with encircled butterflies so the vines to connect from the seed, the W shield is for protection for when she goes in and the unique effect is for your damage sticks to your targets.

Also your only CC is on a 6 seconds delay. Your base damages are low and ratios are high which is bad for a support. You are also pretty level reliant as well which is also bad for support.

Trixy is for those with a supportive mindset, but that does not mean she is a support.

Only her Q would have a significant mana cost, when only one spell has a mana cost means you are never going oom unless there is a way to spam it like with Olaf's axes since the cooldown refunds. So I just went with cooldowns for her resource like what Renekton has and her only true resource is on her ultimate since that is the only thing that needs to be restricted by something like that for game balance.

If Anivia's only mana cost spell was her Q, she would never go oom, despite it having a high cost - only reason she goes oom is because her E spam and ultimate require a ton of mana.

Also removing the cast range to her butterflies actually makes them a lot more balanced because of this change since she can no longer just throw down a butterfly on a target, she now has to put in work and commitment and some kind of risk or strategy to get off damage from her butterflies and that too is another type of resource by placing her in a spot where she can be attacked or even killed by misplaying.
