Nexus Towers in 8.11

Melted butter has more durability.

Nexus towers were already super weak before, now they are a complete joke, they needed massive durability BUFFS not nerfs... I don't understand the logic to it at all. If you lose one team fight then you lose the game from it because the towers just collapse from a very, very, very, very gentle breeze that no one can feel, but the towers just crumble. Apparently in Runeterra they do no believe in engineers or making anything structuring sound, you are better off living in a natural cave than a house in that world then...

To be fair, melted butter has great durability. Have you tried stabbing or slashing melted butter? It shrugs off your blows!

Riot wants games to end before the 15 FF timer. More games = ?? more toxic teams?

Riots plans

  1. Buff AD Items
  2. Nurf Turrets
  3. ??
  4. LC$ $$$

How were AD items buffed? 50% of the ADC roster are sub 50 winrate.

Considering There's an ADC in every game, isn't this about normal?

Riot tries to shorten the game lenght, so asian players who play in internet cafees would be happier.

I think they try to go for 15-20min games, so they have to make games as snowbally and easy to finish as possible.

Welcome to the games bought by 1-cent or other asian game publishers.

Yet those asains playing in those internet cafe's are like 99% of decent player base

I'm fine with them being able to be taken faster, but I'm surprised they still kept their damage so low. Even a little bit of armor let's anyone take way more shots than they should from towers. I've literally seen people take 50, yes 50, literally 50 tower shots and not die.

Turret damage could be increased, especially nexus turrets, but a cool way to do it is if there is only one turret standing between the two turrets, then it deals triple its normal damage since there is only one nexus turret left.

After like 3 items and boots, ornn and literally every other tank can just tank turret for ages and not take damage.

riot wants to compete with fortnite

so they have to dumb the game down to that level, where games end at 10 mins or just randomly from a 50/50 baron smite

rip league

I maybe could have understood this change if it happened seasons back when poke comps and siege comps actually existed. You never see these comps anymore though. (The total hp drop of Nexus turrets is too extreme though)

Now with how much waveclear there is, the game essentially requires baron buff or for a team to be wiped and a bulldozing down of towers to happen. Now that the towers have even less hp, that bulldozing goes by quicker and the wiped team has even less chance to possibly spawn back.

I guess you haven't seen the 1500 farm Sivir game. They will even add self-destruction to buildings in e-sports to prevent stallled games. Game really suffers from e-sports balancing.

You want the games to always go to 40 mins?

Stacona27 votes

I don't want the towers to melt like they do not exist, it is the last line of defense, they should be significantly stronger. Remember the ultimate win condition is 3 inhibitors, once all three inhibs are dead, you basically win, should not win because tower durability is non-existent.

Other win conditions is Baron Buff and Elder Dragon Buff.

webstar11081 votes

they are not a win condition until 40 mis

I actually managed to come back from the 3 inib down :D

Yeah because 40min games in the current state are soooo much fun especially when your team is having to just sit in base and the enemy team doesn't have much push power but yet they are ahead. I'd rather lose or win at 30 than 40 or 50 lmao

A single Super Minion in a wave can and will take half of 1 nexus tower's healthbar if left unattended. It used to take 2 supers. Now if you get 2 supers you straight up lose both towers to just minions. ONE singular super minion should not have more AD, Armor, AND health than the "strongest" tower in the game. It wins in all 3 categories. If there weren't TWO towers there a single super minion COULD 1v1 the nexus tower and win and then still take the nexus afterwards if left unattended enough.

You were already USUALLY unable to contest baron after losing an inhib especially the bot one, but if you DID win the fight at the pit there was at least a CHANCE you didn't lose a nexus towers by leaving the minions there. Now you are basically GUARENTEED to lose at least one tower if you go to contest baron. That isn't good game design since it does inevitably turn the game into destroying bot inhib should just automatically blow up the nexus since that is what is going to happen the second baron respawns anyway.

I was just playing a game, the enemy was sieging and melted my nexus turrets so fast, I had to do a double take.

Stacona3 votes

Why pick Ziggs to destroy turrets when they instantly die anyways... makes champions who are meant to take towers completely useless with the current lack-of durability.

Riot is just adding more and more snowball to the game. There's no way to come back from defecits after this shit... if Riot wanted to make games less snowbally they would make nexus/inhib towers stronger so that players could farm up and the fight would be more even.

Wild Geese1 votes

I know I might be flamed but--

I've always wanted to see nexus turrets have a respawn time. Sort of like the inhibs. It's just, when that last line of defense is down, it's so hard to come back from and you can successfully defend the nexus over and over (which is very hard) and still lose.

Comebacks are exciting, I agree it should be rare- but it's exceeding rare now since some champs can delete the nexus in a second.

Ariel the Cruel1 votes

Riot wants to make sure successfully defending a tower instills a sense of pride an accomplishment! or Riot wanted to balance the ADC nerfs to ensure they still kill towers quickly. or LCS finals are expensive. More snowballing means shorter tournaments means larger profit margin! or As part of making marksman less mandatory, Riot is weakening towers enough that marksman have no practical advantage over others when killing them. or Riot is assuming the meta will shift to besieging towers, which will be balanced by the increased health regen. or Yasuo.

Riot just ignore the community are saying and just do what they want. I dont no why you exspect any differents from them
