Champion concept: Sparr, the Secluded Wizard

Note: passive changed.

This is my first time doing something like this so I would really like some feedback. If you think that this champion is actually a neat idea please remember that the only way to get it attention is liking this post and commenting on it.

I love AP as a stat. I personally just hate the idea that half of the point of AD is the critical strikes, so I have always enjoyed a good mage better. I also love the jungle, as it is a unique roll to everything else. I feel there are not enough mages that can jungle. Sparr is meant to be a mobile mage with medium damage.

Sparr, the Secluded Wizard

The lore is incomplete and not very wordy, but here it is as it stands: At his birth he had incredible knowledge, seeming to know everything his father did before him, who was a powerful wizard that died at the hands of a demacian captain. His mother was frustrated with herself for marrying the wizard, and raged towards the child. He felt mistreated and abused as an adult in a child's body. One day he decided to run away and secluded himself to the mountains. There in the mountains he meditated, searching through his memories for magic powers to help him gain respect and power. When attempting to perform a more difficult spell that would hopefully have given him an adults body, he accidentally enchanted himself with the inability to age. After he realized this he felt completely enraged, thrashing out at everything he could find. He laid waste to the nearest demacian settlement killing everyone that lived there. He now roams the world raged that he has power but will never have respect.

When going through the abilities if you see "_" or nothing that means it is probably a number because I'm not very good with balancing.

Base stats: ____________________________________________________________________________ Health: little Basic attack: range - 450 Basic attack damage: little He does use mana, and I think that's important to note, because it is natural to the game, and unlike many other people making champion concepts, I'm not giving him a unique resource(kinda)

Innate: Concentrated Power - Casting any of Sparr's abilities does not cause him to stop moving - When __ _ out of combat _ __, Sparr concentrates. For every one second of concentrating he gains two stacks of concentration, each granting him _ ability power and _ move speed, decaying over 1 second. This can stack ten times and starts decaying once Sparr stops concentrating. Entering combat stops Sparr from concentrating.

Q: Magic Fire - Sparr sends a bolt of magic in the direction of your cursor dealing _ damage to the first enemy it hits. If magic fire successfully hits a target, Sparr gains 1 stack of concentration.

W: Rage - PASSIVE: When concentrating, Sparr gains _ % missing health and _ % missing mana. ACTIVE: Sparr unleashes any amount of concentration he has to send a projectile towards your cursor dealing - damage(based on how much concentration he had) and stunning the first enemy hit.

E: Blink - Sparr teleports(think ezreal's E) towards your cursor, dealing _ damage to surrounding enemies at your initial location and your new location.

R: Unstoppable Power - Sparr gains maximum concentration for _ seconds. Casting Rage during this time does not drain your concentration and does maximum damage.

It is important to note that Q does minimal damage and has a low mana cost and cooldown, needing to be possible to reduce the cooldown below 1 second. W and E should have decent cooldowns and normal to high mana cost maybe aroud 70-100. R should have no mana cost but a fairly long cooldown.

The idea with Sparr is to be a mobile mage that needs a fair amount of skill, needing to be good with his skill shot Q so that he may strafe and not get caught, then knowing when to go all out with his W in a position so that he wont die. He has minimal health and without that much range on his skill shot he really has to be careful when in combat. If his E is on cooldown he will find himself in trouble.

That's my champion concept and although the chances are rounded to 0% of him becoming real, any support or feedback to help me is much appreciated.

Hmm... kind of a wierd balance of movement vs stationary concentrating, it seems to me. I like the idea, Sparr seems to be a unique champion. The problem, though, is that his passive 'cast while moving', to be effective, requires him to stand still for some time, or land his q alot Though as a jungler, standing in the bushes waiting to gank could go VERY well with this, it doesn't (at least to me) seem to compliment a laner too well. As a jungler you would be kinda forced to stand still, cause you don't want to give yourself away by q'ing, and you want max concentration for max burstAlthough, he could just stand still, e+q+w for a lot of burst, right?

I REALLY like this Champion idea. It's well thought out, i think, and is unique! (a rare found trait among current champs)

As a side note, I might consider changing his q to an aoe like Karthus's q, rather than a skillshot, to help with CS'ing.

I hate the fact that he is a kid. I kind of imagine a zilean type of character. Maybe a descendant or someone caught up in zileans time manipulation. Zilly needs a real rival anyway and secluded wizard just makes me think of a Gandalf type of character.

Only thing kit wise is I think concentration shouldn't be broken when moving or when in combat. Only when hit. That way he has some dueling potential against counter junglers. You'll never be able to unleash rage if your caught moving through the jungle. And you'll always enter a fight without being able to gather more than 1 stack of concentration.

I really want to know what people think. Is this unique enough? Is it a reasonable champion concept?

Please remember that if you enjoy the concept and think Sparr should be a real champion the only way to get him to Riot is by liking the post! I know i sound like a hungry noob wanting attention, but I really think League would benefit from having this unique champion!

Does anyone know exactly what things I can do to help promote ideas like these without negative attention?

:( It's kinda sad how these great champion ideas just get lost so easily. I wish riot would have someone look through all of the champion concepts. :/

Well he's a medium range mage, with out TONS of utility so some mobility would be useful, also he wouldn't have much sustain except having to literally stop and do nothing for some time which isn't very fun. But maybe stand still for a few secs to start concentrating so he's not just a sustain machine. Really cool champion concept though. Very unique champ with clear strengths and weaknesses.
