orlando nightclub shooting

Nothing more can be said. Two days ago, the amazing Christina Grimmie is shot at concert, and now the biggest mass shooting ever in the U.S.

Donations can go here if you have money that can go to the funding of over 50 funerals, and the medical expenses of 50 people in the hospital: https://www.gofundme.com/PulseVictimsFund

I wish riot gave us an avenue to donate like a lot of other games do. I know we had Nurse Akali and Jaximus, but we haven't had a charity skin in a while. Something as simple as a rainbow icon for 250RP that could be made and uploaded literally in a day could raise a lot of money seeing as how large Riot's playerbase is.

But anyway, away from the topic of LoL this is such horrible news. As part of the gay community, I and most others I know seem to think homophobia is mostly a thing of the past, and than we wake up to news like this. This is so horrible because not only is it the largest mass shooting in US history, but it is an act of radicalized islam, homophobia, and one that could have been prevented if we had tighter gun control.

The man was on the FBI TERRORISM WATCHLIST, and yet was ALLOWED TO BUY A GUN LEGALLY.

How is it that people can't get on airplanes because their names match terrorists, but yet they can buy a gun???

Don't get me wrong, I am pro-gun rights for people who are deserving and respectful citizens. All of my family is hunters so I was raised around guns, and I own two guns in my own home. The fact of the matter is that I am a sane and stable person, and I'm not going to go shoot up a nightclub, nor have I ever been on the FBI terrorism watch-list. I deserve a gun. Someone who is spouting off that they are an ISIS supporter online, does not.

As a gay, agnostic man, I really have to say this.

This is a huge tragedy in our community. So many of us have died in a place that was supposed to be our safe space, our place to be ourselves.

But please.

Please.

Stop throwing Muslims under the bus for this because of the shooter's religious beliefs. It's ignoring all of people under the LGBT spectrum who are also Muslim, and are suffering as well. And before people bring up ISIS, no one is defending them, but I swear people forget that a lot of people who are hurt by ISIS are innocent Muslims.

You wouldn't hold every Christian that has committed an atrocity as a representative of all Christian beliefs, please don't do the same for Muslims. A huge shout out to all the LGBT Muslims that are suffering today, you will always be welcome in this community.
