Nidalee Rework Concept

This is of course my thoughts and what I want to see, which is turn Nidalee into a ranged mage with high supportive elements which let's her be a jungler and not need to have her kit overloaded since she has team utility to still be useful when even or behind.

The other part is remove elements from Nidalee, this includes removing her running away leap and toning back on her assassin gameplay since she is a poke mage, and in exchange she gains a proper, high-impact ultimate like what every mage has (even Anivia and Kassadin have high-impact ultimates, despite always being up).

Attack Range: 575 units Movement: 325 units per second Attack Speed: 0.684 +10%@level 1 / +2% per level Base Attack Damage: Starts highish (ranged champion standards) and ends low by level 18

Aspect of the Cougar (Passive):

Ranks: @levels 1/6/11/16

When Nidalee enters brush, she transforms into her Cougar Form which lingers for up to 2.5/3/3.5/4 seconds upon exiting brush. Nidalee loses 450 range and gains 10%(+4% per 100AP) bonus movement speed while in her Cougar Form and gains special ability interactions.

Casting an ability while in Cougar Form will transform Nidalee back into her Human Form.

Nidalee's projectile abilities will create brush as they travel that lingers for 1.5 seconds. This brush reveals the area around it and in it.

Javelin Toss (Q):

Cooldown: 5 seconds; Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana; Range: 1500 units

Nidalee hurls a javelin in the target direction, dealing between 40/50/60/70/80(+60%AP) to 120/150/180/210/240(+180%AP) magic damage based on how far the javelin travels against the first enemy struck and Hunting the target for 2.5 seconds.

Cougar Form: Nidalee will pounce up to 500 range to a Hunted target for her next basic attack, this attack deals 60/90/120/150/180(+60%AP) bonus magic damage against non-champions.

Trip Wire (W):

Cooldown: 12/11.5/11/10.5/10 seconds; Cost: 90/100/110/120/130 mana; Range: 1000 units

Nidalee throws out a javelin with a wire attached to it to the target location, dealing 50/70/90/110/130(+45%AP) magic damage to enemies it passes through and remaining at its location for up to 5 seconds.

Nidalee can throw a second javelin within the next 5 seconds, acting identically to the first javelin and can damage the same target again, once in play will remain for the remaining duration of the first javelin and create a wire between them.

Enemies become tripped up for 1/1.25/1.5/1.75/2 seconds that attempt to move past the wire and stops enemy dashes, if an enemy champion is tripped up then they destroy the trap, duration increases by an additional 0.5 second if the target was dashing, moving faster than 450 units per second, or is a non-champion. Tripped enemies become Hunted for 2.5 seconds.

Cougar Form: Nidalee's basic attacks are converted to magic damage and deals 6/7.5/9/10.5/12%(+3% per 100AP) of the target's missing health as bonus magic damage against Hunted enemies, consuming the Hunt.

Primal Surge (E):

Cooldown: 10 seconds; Cost: 65/70/75/80/85 mana; Range: 900 units

Nidalee heals either herself or the target allied champion for 30/40/50/60/70(+25%AP) to 120/160/200/240/280(+100%AP) health based on the target's missing health.

Cougar Form: After casting Primal Surge, Nidalee's next basic attack within 2.5 seconds against a large unit will refund Primal Surge's cooldown and apply Hunt against any target for 2.5 seconds.

Inescapable Hunt (R):

Cooldown: 120/100/80 seconds; Cost: 100 mana; Range: 1400 / 600 units

Nidalee tosses a magic imbued javelin to the target location, dealing 100/150/200(+70%AP) magic damage to struck enemies when it lands, remaining in play for 1.5/1.75/2 seconds, causing enemies nearby to be unable to move away from this javelin by any means while it remains in play. After 1.5/1.75/2 seconds, the javelin will explode to deal another 100/150/200(+70%AP) magic damage to nearby enemies.

This javelin can be destroyed if it receives 7/8/9 champion basic attacks.

Cougar Form: Nidalee gains 50/60/70% damage reduction while near this javelin.

This completely destroys her identity. Maybe this could work for a new champion but not nidalee.

In what way does it completely destroy her identity? What is Nidalee's identity now then?

Nidalee is a huntress, so how does this not go with being a huntress as a jungle mage. Trip someone with a trap, go for the easy snipe with a max damage javelin toss since they cannot move (unless they cleanse the CC), and then jump in for the kill.

Because it completely takes out the assassin part of her kit. She isn't supposed to be a mage. I get that you want old ap nidalee back but it's better left for new champions instead of complexity changing the way she is now.

Assassin element is toned back, but not removed. You land your Q it lead a brush trail towards your target, you walk into it to become a Cougar which gains movement speed and then you jump at your target with W's cougar passive granting execute damage and makes your attack damage more efficient with magic damage scaling with your magic penetration.

When you cast your E, your next attack will re-apply hunt so you can use your execute damage again for your next attack, but the execution and mobility is only in Cougar Form.

You can use your abilities to create a brush trail as the get away tool, W can cast twice so a lot of mind gaming you can do with throwing one javelin at your enemy, but the other in the opposite direction after stepping into brush so the brush connects, creates a mystery of where she is going. Not to mention landing your Q applies Hunt with the brush trail, so the opponent thinks you are going to run up and pounce on them, but you are in brush so you can fake them out and bait out a skill shot and then get into position for a good W wire trap to cut off an escape route or force them into getting CC'd.

A ton of skill expression is involved here and by giving her only three abilities she can have a true ultimate.

Also Nidalee is an AP champion.
