@Katey Khaos, Dragon Master Swain

So, I realize that Riot, having released Tragon Tamer Lulu, Dragon Trainer Tristana, they've been experimenting with tech for dragons, especially along with the release of Aurelion Sol.

As such, Can you give us any word on whether Dragon Master Swain is still on the Skin Teams' radars? I'm totally understanding if you can't say much about it, I just want to make sure that it hasn't been forgotten by Riot.

I personally think it hasn't released yet because the tech to make it a suitably epic skin didn't exist when it first got pitched, and any time it's come up, they've probably thought, can we do that yet? and have been doing other skins to push boundaries with tech for skins/champions.

ANYWAYS, if you could give us anything on what's happening for Dragon Master Swain, it'd be really appreciated.

Dragon Master Swain has been confirmed to be cancelled, however it's entirely possible that the skin will resurface at some point. Everything Riot makes, whether it goes through or not, gets recorded, so they don't really forget about anything. When designing champions, Riot often tests a lot of good ideas that just don't fit the theme of that character well enough to make it into the game - whether it's for skins, abilities, whatever - and they record all of those failures to both learn from them and see if they can make them work in a different way in the future. Kindred/Jhin are a pretty good example. While they were in development, Kindred was initially Jhin. The Bounty Hunter passive was on him, and he used that to interact with his abilities - it would give him bonus gold on killing the marked target and would allow his ultimate (which was similar to what became his W, but with a much slower, more predictable projectile) to instantly kill the marked enemy if it hit them. However, the project eventually got handed off to a different designer, and they decided that the bounty hunter mechanic needed to give more than just gold on kill, and eventually Jhin transformed into Kindred, however, the base idea for him - a true sniper, later became its own champion with his own kit and the original cyber cowboy part of the cyber bounty hunter dude became his release skin, High Noon Jhin, rather than the base skin that it was originally planned to be.

I'm sure 100% that it's still on the skin team's radar.

Swain himself is awaiting a full VGU right now though, so Dragon Master Swain would be pretty much out of the question until that happens. Otherwise, they'd have to make the skin twice (pre and post VGU) which would be a ton of resources for something that will have to be redone anyways.
